Description from the owner
"Il Vigneto" is a family-run Bed & Breakfast activity, in the middle of the ancient village of Volastra (from the latin Vicus Oleaster, which means the place of olive trees). Volastra is one of the most authentic realities in the heart of the National Park of the Cinque Terre, where terraces built with dry stone walling cleverly made without any cement, give place to the cultivation of vineyards and olive trees.
Volastra besides offering an extraordinary natural landscape with hills sloping down to the sea, is the most important crossway of paths of the Cinque Terre. In fact, from Volastra you may hike many paths with various levels of...Read more

Additional Location Information
Volastra besides offering an extraordinary natural landscape with hills sloping down to the sea, is the most important crossway of paths of the Cinque Terre. In fact, from Volastra you may hike many paths with various levels of difficulty surrounded by a spectacular nature. All the paths are duly signed with red and white strips.
Volastra offers free parking zones very close to our B&B;, while on the other villages you have to pay for parking. Considering the peculiar morphology of this area we do not advise using cars.
In a few minutes from Volastra you may reach Manarola thanks to a good shuttle bus service. The cost of the bus is included in the daily ticket to visit the National Park. Once you are in Manarola you may use trains and boats to visit the other four villages.
Very close by our B&B; you may find a bar, a mini-market, an information point and a very good fish restaurant. The personnel at our B&B; speaks fluent English, French and Spanish.

Wanted to say that andrea, the owner of Il Vigneto, went out of his way to help my wife and I during our recent trip to the Cinque Terre. During our stay during the low period, the bus service from Volastra to Manarola was unavailable, and he picked us up at the train station on our arrival and even drove us to La Spezia train station on our departure due to the local trains not running to La Spezia because of the recent rains.
The B&B; was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Cinque Terre--much because of the extra care provided by andrea. The towns and surrounding countryside were beautiful. -

We arrived Volastra in the evening and walked arround to find a place for the night. Then we met a wunderfull lady who offered us a great appartement in the lovely "il Vigneto". The place was fantastic and the owners were very helpfull and nice. In the morning we were served breakfast on the most beatuiful terrace with a spectacular view over the mediterranian see. We hope to come back in the future and we strongly recomend this place to our friends.

We (my wife and me) could not forget a week stay in B&B; II Vigneto, indeed. This quiet place was gorgeous - incredible views of vineyards and the see, easy public transportation to the seashore, excellent vine and very friendly people!
We have been there with a blind dog, and we really did appreciate the warmth and the kindness of the staff very much.
