Art & Breakfast offers a place for rest and enjoyment in a historic house located in Ripabottoni, a lovely medieval village with 600 inhabitants situated 650 meters above sea level. This is the perfect start for your explorations of the beautiful Molise region.
Molise is the smallest and least known region in Italy (so far) and has kept its genuine character. The region is full of natural beauty and historic sites which you can easily access and explore by car, bicycle, or by foot.

Additional Location Information
Art & Breakfast is situated in the middle of the village, Ripabottoni, which is a lovely medieval village dating back to 1200’s century. The beautiful church of the Assunta is full of frescoes and paintings on canvas by Paolo Gamba, born in the village 1712. He was among the greatest painters of the 1700’s in Molise.
Ripabottoni (called Ripa by the locals) is a quiet village with beautiful views, people are warm and friendly. In the village you find a couple of grocery stores, a pharmacy, a butcher, a post office and a couple of nice bars, one with a small trattoria.
Almost every day farmers come to the village to sell their vegetables and fruits and once a week the fishermen come from the coast to sell their fish.
August is a busy month in Ripa. Several festivals and events are held including music, theatre, special events for children and of course food and wine.
Molise is perfect for your cycling or hiking holiday. Green flatlands, sweet hills, cultivated fields, streams of water, beautiful rare landscapes with attractive medieval towns, castles and fortifications all this will complete your itinerary. You can walk the same ancient paths (called Tratturo) that shepherds once followed with their herds (some still do). Only 300 meters from Ripabottoni you will find the path that runs to the small village of Bonefro about 15 km away.
Food and wine - there are several wineries in the area that will welcome you for a tasting of their wine and many traditional restaurants that offer genuin Molisan dishes.
