“Fox in The Grapes” My husband and I spent a week in the village of Riquewihr at the beautiful apartment Fox in The Grapes. Valerie met us, got us settled in and showed us to a fantastic restaurant just down the road as we were starving. The apartment had a full kitchen so we were able to cook our meals and prepare lunches to take on our excursions. We had a view of the grapevines from our apartment and watched the workers as they prepared for harvest. The apartment was perfect. We were able to do laundry, cook, relax and use Riquewhir as base to visit many other locations in the beautiful alsace region of France. We were within walking distance of hiking in the hills and right on the edge of the village. Valerie was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We had a wonderful time here and would come back again.

“Full of character and luxury for a special birthday!” Five stars on every count! - from the carefully managed communication process, the advice from Jean Paul about travel options, the bottle of bubbly to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and the kind, friendly welcome (quite late in the evening) from Valérie the "Concièrge" to the beautiful and tasteful apartment itself: this was an idyllic place to sample the delights of Riquewihr and its Christmas Market. We came from the UK by train as far as Sélestat and then a taxi - Valérie came to meet us and helped with the luggage. She booked us an evening meal and introduced us to the apartment - really well and thoughtfully equipped in every respect. Although the apartment is very small its clever design made it seem large. The view from the balcony towards the old town was delightful. Jean Paul's recommendation for our second night - at the Table du Gourmet - was superb and for our third night we ate in. Breakfast croissants were just round the corner to add to the convenience. Then of course there were the historic delights of Riquewihr and its neighbour Ribeauvillé and their markets. We would recommend this apartment to any couple looking for a luxurious break in an historic setting.

“Super apartment” We had a wonderful time in Riquewihr and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the White Stork. The apartment had great views and was equipped with everything we needed. Very classy and a great location. Jean Paul and Valere were terrific. Valere was thorough when she showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment.

“Nicest apartment we've ever stayed in!” This place was truly special. What a combination of the old world and new. Our apartment was built in the 1500's yet the amenities and finishes were modern and first class. Every little detail was covered such as: AC, Large Flat Screen Hdtv, WiFi, Coffee maker, Espresso maker, Washer/Dryer, Large Towels, Dark Curtains, Jet tub etc. Martine and Jean Paul clearly appreciate the needs and desires of travelers because they put a lot of thought into the apartment and details. The city of Riquewihr was so lovely and quaint. We will definitely return and stay here. Thank you.

A beautiful place to stay

We stayed in this lovely apartment for 2 weeks after a week in the Marco Polo. Both the amenities and the decor were excellent with the decor reflecting the local area. The view from both bedrooms was stunning, looking out on to the neighboring vineyards. Immediate access to the town was a huge advantage as was the list of recommended restaurants and local boulangerie !Valerie, the manager,was available when needed and responded with great charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment ,using it as a base to explore La Route des Vins, the Vosges Mountains, the Black Forest etc.Highly recommended indeed. … see more

Great find for us - two couples who love food and wine. Beds are comfortable, facilities just perfect, walk to the boulanger and charcuterie. Only issue I had was the a/c system got overloaded once or twice, had to work too hard, but all was fixed. … see more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this Gite and the hospitality from the Krebs and our on-site greeter, Valerie. The little suite was really lovely and elegantly decked out. It was very convenient- right within the old walls of the city, and the view over the vineyards was delightful to gaze out over. The rooms have been developed in a very high-quality way, with modern appliances and fixtures throughout that are perfectly integrated into the restored structure. The room stayed toasty at night, even though it was freezing while we were there. This is a tremendous value. You can use it as a luxury suite and dine out, or take advantage of the fully-appointed kitchen and washer-dryer to cocoon in your private space. (And make sure you dine at au Trotthus!) … see more

Feels like a magical home away from home!

Our stay at The White Stork was incredible. The apartment is spotless and every last detail was thought of. We had someone available to us 24/7 and it made us feel so at home. The views from each window are all unique, the vineyards, the Black Forest, the village! You feel like you are in the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. This apartment is perfectly situated in a fairy tale village. The apartment is spacious and cozy at the same time. I would recommend it to anyone! A wonderful experience

My wife and I had a week in Riquewith staying in Little Wolf appartment. We were both delighted with the appartment on a first look. We found that our initial reaction was correct. The appartment had all the charm that one would hope for in the Remparts of a medievil village. However charm is only part of the journey. The bed room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was great with plenty of space. The dinning and sitting room met all our expectations as did the kitchen. We enjoyed sitting on our little balcony drinking expresso coffee from the expresso machine. There was every electrical appliance we needed. Valerie, who met us at the Tourist Office and took us to the appartment was most helpful with any queries we had through the week. The appartment is about 50 metres from the main street and although there are a lot of tourists we were not disturbed in any way. The village is picture postcard perfect with many good quality restaurants. We would recomend Les Remparts to any of our friends. … see more
