Vista Verde is truly a fantastic value in every sense of the word. The Property is over the top. Every possible amenity you could want is either at your finger tip, or simply a phone call away to Cass. The food, which is included is second to none on the Island. The staff is not only professional and efficient, but also extremely friendly and like-able. You cannot miss with this property - We are already making plans to return next year, if not sooner. My review is excellent for all categories, because it truly is.

Dear Mr. J,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, and we have you on the calendar for next year! One minor clarification, Casa Vista Verde bills for groceries at actual cost, but day meal preparation six days per week is included with your stay. We look forward to seeing you again next April-

We were a group of friends in our 20s and 30s who came to Roatan to scuba dive. Initially, we were excited about the villa because of its proximity to diving and its capacity for large groups, but soon realized a stay here is much more than that.
Everything about Casa Vista Verde is designed to maximize your vacation time. From the advance planning, to prepared meals, to the plethora of things to do at the house, you'll spend all your time having fun and no time worrying about how to make that happen. This was, hands down, the easiest, most frictionless vacation I've ever had. A few favorite things from our stay:
- Proximity to Dive Shop: The villa is a 2-minute boat ride away from Subway Watersports. Subway often picked us up in the morning, dropped us off for lunch, and then picked us up again for afternoon dives. Easy!
- Things to Do: Although we came to dive, we also ended up sea kayaking, jet skiing, wake boarding, and chartering the boat to fish and explore other small islands in the area. At the house itself, we had a lot of fun with board games, the pool and hot tub, the sound system, and the grill.
- Private Beach: Between the private beach & dock, beach cabana, and hammocks, you could spend all day here.
- House Staff: The staff is capable, gracious, and a lot of fun to be around. We particularly appreciated Nolvia, the cook and housekeeper. She can cook your socks off!
Things to keep in mind:
- Sand flies: Roatan has a lot of these. Luckily, they are sensitive to big spray, but you so have to be diligent about spraying yourself regularly. The villa has spray for guests.
- Planning: Do take the time to do a little planning with the property manager before your stay. She'll use the information to customize your visit. Also, the nearest grocery store is about 15 minutes away, so it's worth it to have groceries provisioned in advance.
Overall, Casa Vista Verde is wonderful, and I can't say enough good things about it. Highly recommended.

Erin, thank you for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure hosting your stay, and we would be happy to have you back any time. Since your stay, we have invested in a fogging system with a botanical based bug deterrent. We've been using it for about 5 weeks now, and it seems to be very effective at keeping sand flies from making an appearance on the property.

Our group of 7 (3 couples) was very comfortable in this 5 bedroom house and we would have had no problem accomodating the additional couple that had to cancel last minute. Plenty of common living space with covered porches on two levels provide ample seating for everyone to relax inside or under shade. Plenty of lounge chairs around the refreshing pool provide for more opportunities to relax, all while enjoying the view of Turquoise Bay from the hilltop location. Attentive staff are available to prepare meals, do shopping, arrange fishing trips, and coordinate diving with nearby Subway Diving. Don't miss the homemade Baleadas from Nolvia. A car is a good idea for those who like to experience local restaurants, (Cal's on the road to French Harbor, Charlie's in Jonesville, Hole in the Wall in Jonesville Point, Gio's in French Harbor, etc.). A car is also a necessity for touring or arrange tours with the Staff. A staircase to the beach leads to a spacious cabana, with more room to relax. Kayaks are available near the dock on the beach to explore the bay and provide access to the outlying reef for snorkeling. Some of our group was affected by no-seeums which live in a nearby mangrove stand. Asa, the owner, is investing in a fogging system to help alleviate this potential problem.
Response from White Glove Properties - 02/14/2013
Owner
Dear Mr. P,
Thank you for your review! As a quick update, the fogging system was delivered this past week. We plan to use it when wind conditions cause the insects to blow towards our beach, and expect to report positive results shortly. I hope they did not detract seriously from your stay, and I am very interested in further suggestions for improvement if you have them!

We rent a Caribbean villa every year in this price range to share with 7-9 friends and this is the best of the best. You could ask for nothing more: Safety, security, fully equipped gorgeous house, quality beds, linens and pillows. The staff is incredible: Nolvia, Raul, Nik, Gary, Cass and owner asa, are a dream to work with and take care of your every need. The location and view is beyond beautiful and sooths the soul. You can't ask for better.
The home is of the highest quality with perfection of detail. Proximity to deep sea fishing, scuba and snorkling is steps away and no crowds. And, some really good restaurants are a short trip from the house. Try Cal's and Charlies Grill first.
Just hangin' around the house was pure magic for me.Response from White Glove Properties - 02/14/2013

We (family of 4, 2 kids age 10 and 13) had a wonderful, unparalleled stay at Vista Verde. Instead of listing all the appliances, amenities, possibilities and opportunities you will find at this place (all is listed in the internet description very accurate), let me explain what made this stay so different.
1) Since we were traveling with kids we were looking for a place combining the convenience of a 5* hotel and the privacy and space of a rental villa. Imagine a luxury, you wake up and the breakfast is on the table, your laundry is done, rooms will be cleaned, someone is shopping groceries for you, kids are on the private beach, you relax at the pool, make plans for the afternoon with another person knowledgeable about everything on the island, and for dinner you can opt to stay home (because you have a perfect chef) or going out using your private chauffeur service. So, how does this sound? Unbelievable? Here you can have it.
2) The staff is dedicated to make your stay comfortable, memorable and convenient. Everyone is working with true passion; there is a vibe of hospitality at this place.
3) For those who care about details: the house is amazing. It is build of concrete and stone, very solid, solid doors and windows, nicely done tile floors, quiet rooms.
Roatan is less touristic than other islands and price level is quiet low. For activities outside we highly recommend scuba diving, zip lining, and swimming with the dolphins. Also, we enjoyed a dive tour to pigeon keys and boat rides through the mangroves.
There is one problem. The sand flies accompanied our activities. Whereas our 13ys. old did not care, the 10ys. old was suffering from more than 20 itching bites after the first week. This is certainly not the fault of the owner, or the staff; it is simply the environment here. I know the owner and the staff do anything to make it better, and we truly hope they get it improved to fix the one and only problem during this wonderful and magical stay!
Response from White Glove Properties - 09/01/2012
Owner
Thank you for your very kind review! You've captured what we believe are the high points of a stay with us. I am very sorry about your son's experience with the sand flies. They do come and go around the island, which is why we provide OFF spray and lotion (which guests are free to take with them during their activities). They seem to be very sensitive to OFF, more than mosquitos, and usually one spray in the morning will prevent problems all day. Since your visit, we have begun testing with an organic spray which has been reported to work well elsewhere, with an aim to install a permanent, unobtrusive misting system to insure they don't become a nuisance on the property itself.
Sincerely, Casa Vista Verde Staff

We arrived at the Roatan airport. Two of the Vista Verde staff waiting for us. It was a brezze getting out of there. When we arrived at the house Novila and drinks and a wonderful lunch waiting for us. She is worth her weight in gold by the way. She took care of everyone the best.Meghan is wonderful hoast and guide. We had alot of fun with her and Charlie the boat captain. We went fishing caught a few fish. And a great tour of the North side of the island. We droped ancor for lunch at a beautiful key on the east end of the island. There were colors of blue there that I had never seen in the tropics before.Great time swimming and walking around the key. We will be back next year for sure. Thank you again to the Staff Meghan,Novila,Raual. For making it a great trip. Captain Charlie for the boat trip and the Nights on the town. We had a blast. Asa for building such a great place and sharing it with us. And to the people of Roatan who were warm and welcoming. See you next year. Will C. :)

Casa Vista Verde was everything we wanted and more. The service was impeccable. The house manager, Cassondra, made sure we had the provisions we needed, encouraged our input in meal planning, and made great suggestions for activities to try. Nolvia, the cook and housekeeper, kept the house sparkling and prepared delicious meals including some typical Honduran dishes. Casa Vista Verde was designed for complete enjoyment of indoor and outdoor spaces. The interior is airy, spacious, and has great flow. The exterior has everything you could want in a luxury beach home. We enjoyed the views and the breezes from the covered porches at breakfast and lunch and before dinner we enjoyed the hot tub and pool that are set on a large patio overlooking the Caribbean. It is a short walk down to the beach cabana, private beach, and dock. We really enjoyed the location, we kayaked, used paddleboards, and were picked up right at the dock for our dive trips. What we liked best was the staff (always friendly, eager to please), the house (casual luxury, so much to offer), the location (beautiful views, calm warm water), the activities (something for everyone).

Casa Vista Verde was an ideal place to relax, scuba and enjoy the island with family and friends. The staff was amazing!!! The food was delicious and the service was tops! The house is better in person, and the grounds are beautiful. We took advantage of the nearby dive shop that picked us up from the front pier...it was sooo convenient. Casa Vista Verde was pure pleasure. You drive down a hairy gravel drive and wonder where in the world you will end up...to find a beautiful and big house awaiting you. The house is over 7000 square feet (including the finished basement/bar area) and has five bedrooms each with their own full bath, and two additional bathrooms. The backyard overlooks the beautiful caribbean with a gorgeous patio and deck area, a pool, and a hot tub. The 2nd floor also has a patio area as well. A path down to the beach leads to a cabana and a dock where a jet ski, 2 kayaks, and two boats are available. But the real "scene stealer" is the service. Casa Vista Verde offers an amazing chef cooking breakfast and lunch, full provisioning, a property manager that acts as concierge, and the smiles and assistance of a grounds keeeper. Laundry is done for guests daily. You will walk away spoiled! Most importantly, the staff is friendly, and will make you feel like family. We loved our stay at Casa Vista Verde!! We traveled as a group of five and none of us had been to Roatan previously. We found this property on Vrbo.
Upon arrival to the property, we were pleased that the pictures on the website were a fabulous representation. The island and property were breath taking!
Prior to our arrival we were asked what provisions we wanted and they were all there when we arrived - drinks, food. Novia our personal cook for the week had a delicious lunch ready and waiting for us! We had lunch by the pool overlooking the water! Breathtaking!
Cass was our conciege for the week and did an amazing job. She orgazined all of our trips including zip lining, white water rafting, fishing and snorkeling, shopping and site seeing. All of our adventures were great!

You don't have to even leave the the property, if you don't want to. The house is in a quite neighborhood, and very safe. We dove and snorkeled right from the house. The diving was the best we have ever seen!!They have a boat for fishing and diving, a jet ski, kayaks. We did have a car, so we went into town( 30 min. drive), a few times. We also took a ATV trip, that was fun. They took us on the beach, and through some small villages. Roatan is a neat island, and Casa Vista Verde made it even more enjoyable. My wife and I were a bit uncertain as to what to expect when we arrived in Roatan. But soon after being shuttled to Vista Verde and settling in, we were off skin diving right off the dock in front of the compound. The views of the water are unbelievable and we could have stayed at the compound and enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi but we mixed in other local activities; we golfed at a challenging course minutes away, rode ATV vehicles over dunes and beaches, drove jet skis in front of the property, went fishing and caught Tuna, Grupper etc, scubba dived several times and saw amazing marine life, hung out on deserted island, and went to the west end for night life fun. We felt safe, the locals were friendly, cost of food/drink and activities was reasonable and we now know where we are going for another vacation.

Beaver creek OHCASA VISTA VERDE LUXURY ACCOMMODATIONS WITH BREATHTAKING VIEWS
Left on 03/03/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I have just returned from a short visit to Casa Vista Verde and am already making plans for a return visit for a longer stay. This place is amazing and has everything. Because it has so much to offer, I prefer to separate the review into specific areas so that you have a complete picture of the total package.
Location—Is situated on beachfront property on a bay with 9 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical plants and fruit trees. Tranquil is the best way to describe the setting and it feels as if you are in your own private gated resort. The house sits atop a small hill with breathtaking views. The Casa is centrally located and makes touring other parts of the island easy.
House—Is a large luxurious accommodation but still has a feel of tropical living with its gorgeous handcrafted Honduran mahogany furniture. Five bedrooms each with their own bathroom means you can bring the entire family for a vacation which I plan to do. The state of the art kitchen is available for cooking or a chef is available if you prefer. The wraparound verandas provide a fantastic, breathtaking panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea.
Infinity Pool and Spa—Is situated on an exceptionally large patio with the most comfortable lounge chairs I have ever seen. Plenty of tables and chairs make it a great venue for outside dining.
Amenities—Are too numerous to list all of them but having your own beach, boat dock, boat and captain on site and available for fishing, snorkeling, or scuba diving is absolutely a fantastic bonus. A manager lives elsewhere on the property and attends to your every need whether it is grocery shopping before you arrive, booking tours, picking you up at the airport, etc.
This was my first stay at a vacation rental home and completely changed my idea of a vacation rental. This was like staying at a 5-star resort but not having to share it with anyone. I would highly recommend this vacation home. Casa Vista Verde is awesome.Response from White Glove Properties - 03/07/2010
