The lovely cottage is situated on the St. Croix River whose owner is a lobsterman, only one of his many trades. I was impressed how well it is maintained with a working fireplace and gas heater for the cold days. Be sure to go lobstering with the owner at least once to see how the critters are caught in the river within 2 miles of your cottage. Then cook them in an outdoor gas boiler provided by the owner. Enjoy their unforgettable sweetness!

Hope, MaineIt has been a good place to get away.

We have spent the last of July beginning of august week at Lamb Cove for the last three years. The cottage is at the end of a long.. drive surrounded by water on three sides. The front of the cottage looks over the river to St. Croix Island and the back fronts on Lamb Cove. The view is expansive and the cottage has been redone and is very comfortable. The Owner is rennovating another cottage beside this one and plans to have it available for rental this year. There are plenty of day trips available. We mixed our stay with days at the cottage kayaking or reading and trips to Eastport, Campobello and the Ferry over to Canada making the loop. We have enjoyed each of our stays at Lamb cove and have also enjoyed the boat ride provided by Captain Lou B. to check his lobster traps.
