Description from the owner
This charming fishermans cottage down in the heart of 17th century Robin Hoods bay, is the perfect place from which to enjoy village life. It is also only moments from the beach and the sea. Our much-loved family holiday home has a special personality and charm of its own, and many of our visitors return year after year. It is comfortable at all times of the year, equally good as a warm retreat on a winters day with a blazing fire or as a peaceful bolt hole, a rest from beach combing in the summer. The cottage sleeps 4 adults or 6 with children. It has two bedrooms, one double and one with two twin beds and a set of children’s bunks. Th...Read more

Additional notes from owner
Supplied:-We supply bed linen and the beds will be made up for your arrival but we ask visitors to bring their own towels.
The kitchen tends to be fairly well stocked with basic supplies, cooking oil, herbs/spices tea bags etc.
Parking:- The cottage comes with a permit to the Fisherhead car park. This means that you can have your car fairly close at hand durring your stay. Acsess to the bottom of the village is limited to unloading only; but this means that the village is fairly low on traffic and safe-ish for children. At the top of the village there are two paying car parks in high season and there is still free parking on the yellow lines at the top, October to March (check the signs) and in the side streets all year if you're lucky.
Babies:- We do have a travel cot and high chair for babies.

SheffieldAn enchanting weekend in the heart of Robin Hoods Bay.
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I really cannot think of a better place to stay for a weekend away, a cosy and charming cottage with very friendly owners that made our stay extremely enjoyable on all levels. A particularly nice touch was that both fires were set up for us, ready to light when we got there. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable and full of character. We will be definitely coming back again.

SaltaireWonderful weekend spent in a perfect cottage

Coach house cottage is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. We absolutely loved the furnishings, the cottage was so well equipped we didn't want for anything. Robin hoods bay and the cottage has so much charm it feels like a very special place and it was so lovely to be so central - apart from a walk along the costal path to whitby - we didn't go more than 50 steps from the front door. We really didn't want to leave and will definitely be back!

SheffieldAn authentic home from home in the heart of a wonderful place

Coach House is a traditional, though up to date fisherman's style cottage in the heart of lower Bay with its great pubs, which retains an authentic atmosphere with its wood burning stove, fire, and whisk collection! The large kitchen/dining area is particularly great for families and quite unusual in this type of accommodation. I proposed to my wife here! Enjoy your stay and mind your head on the original beams upstairs!

NottinghamUnique cottage with the sea on your doorstep
Left on 08/26/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We have been to Coach House Cottage four times, and have loved every visit. The sea is a stone's throw from the front door, and the cottage itself is beautiful. We have stayed in a lot of national trust cottages, which are lovely but often feel quite anonymous, and have decor that feels a bit lacklustre, a bit Trust House Forte. This one is stuffed full of vintage china (slightly less so after our last visit - sorry!), lovely rugs, prints. There's a large sideboard full of games. Open the understairs cupboard and find classic videos. Lots of books for rainy days. Our kids love the bedroom with the cowboy wallpaper and bare stone walls. I have already recommended this to a very good friend. I'm about to book next year!

Beautiful quaint Cottage in perfect location for beach holiday! 50 Yards from the harbour and onto a beautiful bay perfect for rockpooling! The most homely well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in! My children ( 13, 11 & 9 ) were torn from the games consoles and handhelds and were in cold turkey until they discovered the enormous range of games/books/videos. My children at last sat and played together and we had nice evenings in sat around an open fire. Perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, Scarborough and all it has too offer. I felt at home straight away here and fully enjoyed our holiday. Will definatley be booking again

The coach house in Robinhood Bay is a charming and cosy, with lots of character and in the most idillic spot so near to the seafront. I visited Robinhood Bay many years ago and then returned with my husband and young children 4 years ago and stayed in the Coach House cottage, my family fell in love with the Bay and we return every year for a relaxing week of family time, long walks on the seafront, fish and chips and a coffee at Boggle Hole. For all the luxurious places we have visited in the world we can not resist returning to the charm and tranquility of this pretty place.

Lund, SwedenAn enjoyable holiday made all the better by our stay in Coach Ho
Left on 05/20/2012 for a stay in June 2011
It is our custom to spend a holiday in Robin Hood's Bay and we have always stayed in Coach House Cottage. This is a comfortable and spacious place with all the amenities one could wish for. It is furnished to suit a family and is warm and clean. We appreciate that the beds are made up when we arrive. The washing machine is a boon - as is the parking permit! The cottage is only a couple of minutes from the beach and many of the shops are within easy reach.
As there are two flights of stone steps up to, and one down to the front door we would not recommend this cottage to anyone with walking difficulties. -

LondonAuthentic experience
Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This cottage is the real deal, a quaint fisherman's cottage set amongst the warren of steps and cottages that makes Robin Hoods Bay such a popular holiday destination. A really interesting place to stay with lots of fascinating local detail and thoughtful touches - good kitchen equipment (so frustrating when there isn't!), an open fire in the lounge, games and books for children and a sunny bench outside - not many places in the Bay have outdoor space and this is nice and tucked away from the bustle yet really close to the beach and shops. Fresh, clean linen, extra blankets etc all good. Would definitely go back.
