This traditional semi-detached cottage is in the village of Fylingthorpe, close to Robin Hood's Bay and sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Croft View is a semi-detached, traditional cottage, which backs onto the village green in the village of Fylingthorpe, one mile from Robin Hood's Bay. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

We have been booking our holidays through Sykes for the past three years now and their friendly and knowledgable staff have always made it a pleasure to do business with them, their local knowledge ensures that they can match your cottage to your exact needs, which is why we were so delighted to book this luxury dog friendly cottage.
Croft View is a beautiful house, warm and cosy and furnished to the highest standard with wonderful views from the front and the back. The location is well placed for visiting the moors and the seaside towns of Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sandsend and Scarborough. The village shop is small, but well stocked, they even do takeaway at the weekends and I'd highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Robin Hoods Bay.
If you like big comfy sofas, a log burner to warm your toes by as you sip you glass of wine or star spotting on a crystal clear night as you sit in the conservatory (with another glass of wine), beds so soft you have to drag yourself out of them, then this is the house for you. The only downside was the cooking utensils or rather the lack of them, being someone who loves to cook using local ingredients when I'm up there (Trotters farm shop - Potter Brompton and the Whole Hog - Pickering, not to mention Radfords butchers in Sleights- you have to visit all of them - sorry for the plug - but you seriously have to!) the week felt like being on a Masterchef invention test, but in the grand scheme of things, meals were dished up on time and devoured and everyone had a fantastic time - so who needs a bread knife for a week LOL! It might be a cliche- but if you only have one holiday this year, ring Sykes and book Croft View. -

Compared with other rental websites, the Sykes Holiday Cottages website is a pleasure to use.
The cottage was beautifully presented with lovely views over a shared field towards the sea. Slight shame that children are not allowed to play ball games on the shared field, but there is a play area just down the road.
The local butcher/baker (although alas not also candlestick maker!) does excellent take-away food and cakes. The shop is about 50m down the road, so that sorts out cooking!
Not a problem, but worth knowing that there is no off-road parking, but we were always able to park right outside the house. -

Croft View is a high quality cottage, very comfortable and in excellent decorative order. We were delighted to find a cottage of this high standard and quality as we have struggled to find luxury cottages in the North Yorks Coastal area. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped and is located just moments away from Robin Hood's Bay. There are some excellent local facilities such as a butcher, local shop and pub all less than 3 minutes walk away. The conservatory and master bedroom have lovely Coastal views and this is certainly a place where you can relax in comfort. For walkers and mountain bikers, there is easy access to the Cleveland way and the disused railway/cinder track. Robin Hood's Bay is an easy stroll with a number of good independent coffee shops and pubs. Particular mention goes to the Wayfarer Restaurant, a fantastic place to eat. We enjoyed our week so much that we have booked to go back later in the year. A great find and highly recommended.

This cottage is a credit to the owner, so much love and thought has been given to this property. From the moment you walk through the door it could not feel more like home,
the comfort and up keep of this cottage is outstanding! Furthermore the location is brilliant, a great local store and a friendly welcoming local pub within a few minutes walk. Just a short distance walk into Robin Hoods Bay. A perfect cottage which we will no doubt return to again, a gem not too be missed, perfect for all ages. The Poole family-Nottingham 2011
