Steelees Tavern, VAGreat way to celebrate our anniversary
Left on 10/21/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We were looking for a place close to home to stay at & celebrate our 15th anniversary. The house was perfect. Large roomy kitchen, gas burning fireplace in the livingroom & beautiful view all around. We toured Montpielier the first day & spend the 2nd day driving around the area. Would stay again. We ended up in Orange after visiting Monpielier & ate at Wise Guys downtown. Highly recommend this little gem. They serve burgers/dogs/fries. Great corner location right next to the train station. Our burgers were piping hot & delicious as were the fries.

Suffolk, VaBeautiful Country views
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at Fiona's place. We have a large family and there was plenty of room for everyone. The scenery is spectacular. And the grounds pretty as well. Our children liked seeing the horses. But our favorite thing was sitting on the spacious front porch early in the morning and sipping a hot cup of coffee. Recommended.

Mebane NCFiona was a wonderful hostess; we will definitely be back!
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Fiona's farmhouse is warm, comfortable and welcoming and is set in horse country in the rolling hills north of Charlottesville. My husband and I (and our old poodle) were in the area for an event so we didn't get a chance to see as much as would have liked but the countryside and villages were very appealing and we plan to come back to see more. We had a very relaxing weekend and Fiona was more than helpful.
