L'Ilot is a rock platform of 3100 m² situated in the lagoon of Roches Noires, on the North East coast of Mauritius, at approximately 100 m from the coastline. Access is via a rock and wood bridged causeway.

Positioned on a sand bed and surrounded by filaos trees, this vast villa of almost 300 m² faces North-West, with its back to prevailing breezes.

With direct and easy access on all sides to the sea, the life is organized around the large open veranda with a view of the lagoon to the north, east and west.

The light is magical on this turquoise lagoon and low tides are spectacular - a rare phenomena in Mauritius -, exposin...g vast sand banks. L'Ilot, although an integral part of Mauritius, offers a retreat if desired. With a 360° panorama the scenery is transformed all the time. Depending on the wind, the light, the ocean swell, l'Ilot shimmers and changes constantly, upwind or downwind, hot or cooled by sea breezes.

Description :

The house is composed of:

- A large living room equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite channels, an iPod docking station

- A luxurious kitchen equipped with granite worktop, oven, 5 gas burners, microwave, dishwasher, American refrigerator, steam cooker, Nespresso coffee machine

- 4 bedrooms organized as follows:

- Master bed room, East , suite of 26m ² with a king size bed, bathroom, toilet, air conditioning, private veranda, flat screen TV, safe

- North bedroom, suite of 22 m² with a bed 180 cm, convertible into twin beds, bathroom, toilet, air conditioning, private veranda, safe

- Two rooms, Western room (3 beds 90 cm, air conditioning) and South room (160 cm bed, air conditioning, exterior access) in a family suite with bathroom and toilet.

Outside there is a dining table set up under the trees, and a deck of 35m ² overlooking the turquoise sea which allows you to rest there for a sundowner or take your lunch or dinner with a stunning view.

A large Weber grill provides a quality cooking and a water fountain features permanently fresh water.

An outdoor shower allows you to cool off after swimming and a standby generator to start automatically ensures a continuous supply of electricity.

The house is fully serviced by a high speed internet access with secure wireless access, and is protected by a monitored alarm.Read more

  Nous avons séjourné mon ami et moi durant 1 mois dans cette magnifique villa entourée par les eaux turquoises du lagon. L'îlot est une villa où il fait bon vivre, décorée avec goût et très confortable. La vue est splendide et quel plaisir de pouvoir prendre son petit-dejeuner face au lagon !
  Malini et ati, les femmes d'intérieur, nous ont très bien accueillies et sont d'une très grande serviabilité et discrétion. Elles ont veillé jour après jour à ce que notre séjour se passe pour le mieux et , elles nous ont aussi permis de découvrir la vraie cuisine mauricienne en nous préparant des plats typiques de l'île; ce fut toujours un vrai délice !
  Ce fut de loin un de mes plus beaux voyages et j'espère pouvoir y retourner bientô

  "'What a place.Absolutely stunning and unique location,We spent 7 blissfull days being pampered by Malini's superb cooking and relaxing in the warm water surrounding the villa.The interior of the villa is crisp and elegant while outside is perfect for taking advantage of the beautiful scenery.
  This has to be one of the best beach locations in the world!
  We cannot wait to return as soon as possible.
  
  One important thing is to remember to bring good quality water shoes with you as there are a few sea urchins around.

  Soñaste con tener tu propia isla? Ya la encontraste!

  Escribo desde la mesa gigante del comedor exterior bajo el porche con las vistas de 180 grados a un mar turquesa y calmado...a lo lejos se oye el estruendo de un Oceano enfadado por que no puede entrar aquí... existe una barrera que no le permite venir con sus enormes olas...
  La casa tiene un estilo africano de diseño. No le encuentro fallo a nada. Los objetos decorativos son hermosos, las fotos que decoran las paredes... Una cosa buenísima, no hay mosquitos...
  Tengo tanto que decir sobre mi experiencia aquí, que no se ni por donde empezar. Malini, la cocinera y el 2º alma de la casa. La jefa en Mauricio de la casa es la encantadora Veronique, siempre dispuesta a solucionar cualquier cosa... vuelvo a Malini la Mauriciana cocinera... servicial, dispuesta a escuchar tus exigencias culinarias, en mi caso con intenciones de no ganar ni un gramo..comida sana. Ella cocina en dos maneras, para mi marido con unas salsas y guisos exóticos y todos riquísimos y para mi limpio y sazonado con especias buenísimas. Cada 2 días quedábamos con ella en el súper. También compramos verduras en la calle...ella escije las mejores y discute el precio. Hay un puesto de agua de coco en la esquina de Riviere de Rampars, el pueblito a 10 minutos en coche donde hacemos las compras para cena y almuerzo.
  Ella trabaja hasta las 2, cocina el almuerzo y si queremos que cocine mas tiempo cobra unas horas extras a precio irrisorio... 200 rupias la hora unos 5€. Puede hacer tartas, pero no es su fuerte , ella lo intenta todo con tal de hacerte feliz.
  Un fallo es el desayuno. Si queremos pan debemos salir nosotros a comprarlo, o comerlo descongelado o no de los frescos del dia... Athi la señora seria de limpieza...pero discreta y trabajadora, llega entre 8 y 9, depende del bus. Asi pues si ella prepara los crepe y pone la mesa, ensalada de frutas etc...debemos esperar a que llegue.
  Hay dos cosas que recalco de manera insistente, por que creo que seria lo mejor para la casa. Hay demasiados herizos, que alguien me corrija si me confundo, ellos aparte de ser peligrosos por las picaduras, ellos matan por donde pasan a paso de tortuga, dejan las rocas peladas y sin vida. Creo que en 10 años si siguen proliferando van a acabar con los fondos marinos y entonces cuando regrese con mis nietos, no verán mas que herizos y arcas sin vida...deberian sacarlos por cubos y limpiar la zona. La otra cosa es. Existen unos pájaros súper bonitos. Cantan y dan ambiente al paraíso de l´ilota. Pero que ocurre?, que defecan sobre sillones, manteles, suelos...y eso no puede ser. Asi pues les puse la comida en el musito..arroz crudo y cocinado. pan, frutas,verduras, etc... vienen de diferentes tipos, todos comen juntos, cantan de manera espectacular y se quedan en su sitio.
  Creo que deben de poner un poste con una plataforma, con unos clavos donde pinchar las frutas por el viento y el poste por los perros que luego vienen atraídos por la comida. =) Todo esto son sugerencias, por que importa esta isla y pienso regresar, si no, ni me molestaba en escribir esto.
  Cualquiera que desee mas info. sobre mi estancia y experiencia aquí puede contactarme y le cuento.
  Hay que traer aletas, gafas de buceo y tubo. La zona no es turistica, en el pueblo ni se ven blancos es formidable. A 20 minutos en coche se puede nadar y galopar por la playa a caballo, en Belle Mare.
  Se puede hacer yoga solo, o incluso contratando y maestro por hora y media 1.900 rupias, unos 40€. También aquagym... en grupo una hora mismo precio.
  Te traen a diario pescado recién sacado del mar..langostas vivas, calamares o pulpo. Tambien ostras. El precio esta establecido en el libro de la casa y Malini lo lucha por ti.
  Bueno ya hoy nos vamos... puedo decir que soy una gran viajera y se de muchos lugares esplendorosos, y L´ilota es de mis top 3. Volvere... esperenme!!!

  My wife, my 3 young children and myself liked so much to stay 2 weeks at l'Ilot. no many words to say excepted unique place, exceptional house, villa feet in water, felling alone in the world and posed in the middle of the turquoise lagoon... suited to people appreciating calm, far away from tourists, noise and resorts...marvellous help and cooker.

  A paradise on earth where you forget about time and wish that it

  I liked the place most because of the beauty it generates on every single moment you spend. When you cross the bridge that links you to the main road, you feel like you are not anymore in the main island, but you have your own. The villa itself is extremely well decorated with top quality furniture and all the facilities you need (Kitchen, Bathrooms, towels...). The room service is performed by full time private staff. In addition to the 4 independent apartments/rooms, you have a large terrasse/sundeck, extended in the outside with 2 additional ones for private dinners or cocktails. Then you have your own beach and natural swimming pool... everything is available to make your stay a unique experience, and leave the place with a wish to come back and recommend L'Ilot to your friends
