Newstead Cottage is only a 5 minute drive to the Historic Garrison Savannah district which includes George Washington House, the Barbados Museum, or visit the Savannah on a day when there is international horse racing or other local events!
The famous St. Lawrence Gap is party-central and is 5 minutes by car and is brimming with restaurants, pubs, live shows, and other night-life!
You may also want to visit the town of Oistins for the famous Friday Night Fish-Fry where you can have a rum with the locals in a very relaxed setting...
The new South Coast Boardwalk is a few minutes walk and is perfect for a leisurely stroll!

Newstead Cottage is a perfect holiday rental. Upon our arrival for a two week holiday, Clair showed us around and also offered places of interest to visit, location of restaurants and the nearby grocery shops. A two minutes stroll and we are on accra Beach, one of Barbados' gems. Newstead is located so close to everything we needed. Fabulous restaurants, a 10 minute walk to the grocery store that offers free shuttle service back to the cottage with your purchases. Hummingbirds, bougainvillea, palm trees are your front yard oasis. A wonderful selection of books, wi-fi, and just around the corner from Skakers, serving the best charbroiled ribs anywhere; Just Grillin' for fabulous flying fish and The ackee Tree for a delicious chicken roti. Truly a gem and the best place to stay on the island.

Lovely cottage! We had an amazing time in Barbados and would not hesitate to stay at Susan and Paul's cottage again. It is walking distance to many fine restaurants, or you can jump on the ZR and go anywhere for $1.50. We always felt very safe and could roam anywhere we wanted. I would recommend this cottage to anyone!
