Description from the manager

The Double-crested Cormorant is one of many large water birds that you can view from the back of this brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. Situated on the T of a canal that leads out to Salt Lake and then Copano Bay, this home is perfect for kayakers, boaters, or for just fishing from the dock. A private boat ramp is on the property and there is room to tie up your boat behind the house. The large deck offers beautiful water views, cool breezes, and fishing in the canal with the underwater green light.

Inside you will find bamboo floors and tile counter tops. The living room, dining room, and kitchen all look out over the water through lar...Read more

      Very relaxing getaway

Left on 05/10/2011 for a stay in May 2011

I was treated to a Mother's Day getaway by my family, and we chose this property based on information found on this website. The property is exactly as shown on the photos...lovely. The house is very comfortable, clean, and a great place for entertaining. We only caught a medium size fish, and 4 crabs, but it was fun just being out there trying. The house is located about 15 minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches. I highly recommend this property, and plan to return very quickly.

Restful Stay But Had Maintenance Issues

Left on 03/02/2011 for a stay in December 2010

This is a nice, newer home in a quiet location on the water but had quite a few maintenance issues that prevented our stay from being totally enjoyable. Many lightbulbs were burned out, and when we attempted to pick up some from the office the next day we found it was closed at around 3pm. So we had to purchase some at HEB, and we took them with us when we left. A few items were broken also, like one of the tp holders, one lamp, and the water faucet in kitchen. We also ran out of dishwasher soap and had to buy more. We enjoyed the living area of the home for relaxing and reading, once we moved a lamp in there from the bedroom for sufficient light. Upholstered furniture in the living area had food stains and needed cleaning. The double bed mattress in one bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable, and there was a musty (pet?) odor in tat room as well. We did enjoy watching birds from the deck in back. This home is far removed from the restaurants and other activities in Rockport but provides a peaceful environment. Just needs more attention to maintenance and keeping supplies in stock.

I will for sure be back

Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in July 2010

Great View and fishing. Nice Quiet get away. The interior was clean and very nice. It had all the extras we needed such as pots pans. Sleeps plenty of people comfortably. We spent most of our time fishing on the lighted pier, with green lights submerged in the middle of the canal where we caught and saw several trout.
