Come stay at Kitty by the Sea and enjoy sunrises, fishing, dolphin viewing, and bird watching from the large back yard over looking Redfish Bay. Or just relax on the deck and watch the boats go by on the Intracoastal Waterway. The fishing is excellent from the large fishing deck with two-1000 watt sport lights, benches, and rod holders. A fish cleaning stand with electricity and water is off to the side for your convenience.
Kitty by the Sea is located on Redfish Bay & the Intracoastal waterway across from Estes Flats. This south Rockport home is just minutes away, by boat, from the best fishing Aransas and Redfish Bays have to offer. O...r just cast a line out into the Intracoastal from the lighted fishing deck to catch trout, redfish, flounder, sheeps head & black drum. We are kid friendly (we have 2 of our own). We know you'll enjoy your stay!
Kitty by the Sea is a 2 bedroom/2 bath house that sleeps 6 to 8 people. The large living and dining area have floor to ceiling windows that overlook the water. A large TV with cable and DVD player are available in the living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with new mattress and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has two double beds and with the futon in the living room the house sleeps 8! There is also a second full bathroom

We enjoyed the stay. It was relaxing and had lots of fun fishing. We caught spec trout, string ray, hard heads and a few reds ranging from 15 to 30 inches from the back deck. The home was nice and the location was great on aransas bay. The only things that can be replaced are the sofas and futon mattress. Also I would like to see safety rails by toilets and hand rails in the front entrance since my mom is elderly and I am handicap. The boat dock also smells. But that will not keep us from coming back, it was a lot of fun. Mary rose Coronado
Awesome morning view, to open your eyes and look out the back po

I enjoyed spending time with my family by the water
and visiting the boiling pot.
I hauled my 19ft bay boat to the property and had plenty
Of room. The lighted bulk head was nice to fish at night with the kids.
My wife enjoyed a bubble bath while we fished in the afternoon.
Good memories were made here.

Not a good trip - mostly due to bad weather. Please notice that there are no pic's of the front of the house. It's for a good reason. House needs paint or siding, landscape attention, shutters, the boat slip needs cleaning, and the rusty/broken furniture on the back porch needs to be thrown away. It makes me angry because with just a little elbow grease this could be a cute (small) fishing cabin. Interior has some updates-master bedroom & bath are nice. Very comfortable compared to the 2nd bedroom. 2nd bedroom would be okay for kids. Sofa has a few scary stains. Kitchen is well equipped. We didn't care for the dining in Rockport and by the end of our trip, we were cooking at home. The Boiling Pot and Charolette Plummer's were recommended restaurants. Both were way over priced for what is served and not a lot of flavor. Being on the coast we expected the freshest seafood, and it just wasn't that great. The Big Fisherman Restaurant was probably the best and it's not a place to write home about. Fishing - 1st - don't plan on fishing during the day. Lots of boat traffic right behind the house. Didn't catch anything during the day anyway. Maybe it was due to the time of the year, but didn't catch anything over 12 inches. It's fun to catch, but baby trout after baby trout got old quick. As soon as you get to town, go straight to the bait shop and ask what to use for bait. Bird watching was probably the best part of the trip, and I'm not a bird watcher. Overall, I felt I overpaid for everything.

Comfortable, casual, and accommodating home with great views and fantastic fishing. Kayak fly- fisherman... look no further, as your sight casting arena is literally within arms reach here at 'Miss Kitty's Estes Flats getaway'... Or after a long day exploring the area, you simply hook into em' from the dock at night. A true fishing getaway!

The stay is very comfortable, we have been to this location several times and have always enjoyed it. Fishing is usually good and this time was exceptionally good. Literally hundreds of trout just short of keepers and a good number of ones we could keep. Also redfish, flounder and only a couple of hardheads.
Will be back in the spring!

this isn't the prettiest house in the area, but, if you're not into looks, it an awesome place to relax when the weather's nice...You can sit out back on the deck/patio and just enjoy the view of Estes Flats and or just warch the big barges pass by...Exellent night fishing , fun for the kids, but, you have to hold on to them so that they don't fall off the bulk head and get swept away with the tide. I've stayed there several times and everything has worked and we had a great trip everytime. Rap
Best location to fish with lights, Great folks to deal with!

Ideal get a way for my wife and I to bring her dad, who is a spry 90, to catch fish consistantly. More throwbacks than not, but occasional keepers in a constant bite is perfect to entertain us all. A short walk from Intracostal fishing to a cozy house with few stairs. Outstanding. Hardcore allnighters often result in a box of sand trout and some nice specks and even a flounder now and than all while the tuckered out can relax inside. Perfect.
