Wanting to introduce my friends to their first saltwater fishing experience, we chose this home to stay at. The location was perfect for fishing, we caught everything from black drum to trout. And of course the ones that got away.
The house was great for guys, we especially loved the screened in porch. We cooked out by the dock most nights.
It suited our needs for the worst snorer to have a room away from everyone else, and the underwater lights for the night owl fisherman.
Great to have a place to park the boat trailer and tie up our boat, both on the property.
And the neighbors were friendly too.
We will always remember this trip and plan on coming back next year.
The bathroom had mildew around the faucets & significant mildew in the shower, enough so that I had to make a trip to buy mildew remover. The downstairs had weeds growing through the bedroom wall. The screens on the porch were torn. One door wouldn't stay closed. The stairs going to the backyard needed repair to make them safe. The outdoor furniture was mostly unusable, either broken or cushions so torn & rotting that you didn't want to sit on them. The mattress in the master was so worn out that a short nap gave you a backache. Overall, the entire house needs updated & major TLC. Read more
After your stay, we made recommendations, and the homeowners did major renovations to the downstairs, back patio, and stairs. They have also added new patio furniture and a new screened in porch - they are really making an effort to bring this house back to its old charming self. We appreciate your honesty and giving us that push to get these things taken care of.
