First the good. You can hardly beat the location. Literally steps from the beach, and good ocean views from the deck & upstairs area. You can leave the windows open at night and listen to the ocean as you sleep. The swimming pool is nice - it has little built-in benches in the deep end which are a real nice bonus.
Now, the bad.
The property has safety issues. A plank from the hot tub steps broke off as my daughter was climbing up it. Electrical outlets are hanging out of the wall. The deck railings are wobbly and in one case, bungee-corded together. I bashed my finger while closing the back door (by the bunk bed room), because someone installed the storm door so that the latch matches up with the handle - if you don't let go of the door handle when closing the door, your finger gets caught between them, and it hurts!
Although we loved the location and pool, the property seems not very well cared for, and is missing basic amenities (ice maker, certain kitchen supplies, outdated TV in living room, broken off moulding in the kitchen that cut my husband's foot open). The hot tub jets barely worked. The bunk bedroom is poorly laid-out and feels like a bathroom - it has linoleum flooring and zero coziness. The baby booster seat is too tall, you can't push the baby's knees underneath the table. The Queen mattress in the room opening up to the beach is horrible - it sags in the middle and is really uncomfortable. The screen doors are a mess - broken in many places, and the screens are hanging on by a thread. We kept finding small pieces of screen throughout the house.
Also, it wasn't really clear on the website that the two twin beds upstairs were just out in the open with no privacy, which rendered them useless to us in terms of sleeping for anyone over the age of 7.
