Henberry is the upstairs level of a small barn conversion. It is an ideal retreat for two and is priced correctly for this size of accommodation. If you want more room, be prepared to pay accordingly.
Access is up an old stone staircase with entry directly into the living room/kitchen area. The bedroom is compact with a normal sized en-suite beyond.I found the bed to be particularly comfortable. Every room is tastefully decorated and fitted out.
The owners are very friendly and helpful - they live in the main house next door and were there if we needed them but left us happily to ourselves most of the time.
The village has a popular, though quite expensive, pub / restaurant. There are other places within easy reach up and down the valley. Romaldkirk itself is delightful - pretty village greens and church. The location is great for walking - the Tees Valley Way passes right by the cottage. We hardly used the car all week, preferring to walk straight out of the door into the lovely surrounding countryside.

The upstairs flat was well fitted and the decor was
cosy and "country comfortable". The views were
lovely and peaceful.
We brought our 1 year old son with us, and it was
perhaps a bit too cramped with the required cot and
high chair... but the weather was nice, so we
indulged in the bbq as much as possible.
Nice walks in the area, and the quality of the food
in the local pub was second to none.
