This property is a charming first floor Romaldkirk cottage located in the wing of a detached, stone-built barn conversion on the edge of the village and just six miles from Barnard Castle. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Stayed here for a midweek break mid July. A very well equipped cottage, nice quiet surroundings in a lovely village. Owner lives next door although was away when we stayed so had some friends looking after guests, the hosts were lovely!
The owner has an amazing garden with a gorgeous dog and a few cats scattered around!
Cottage has all you could need and added extra's too.
Lots of lovely walks to do nearby along the tessdale way, an old railway line now converted for walkers, very safe for dogs too.
The owner supplies an excellent guide on things to do and places to stay.
We look forward to visiting again -

Excellent property. Just big enough fot 2 people. Great locoation no shops in the village but only a few miles from Castle Barnard. Had a good break although it was cold for april and snow was about most of the week. We would go again.

Henberry is a delightful first floor cottage apartment, well fitted out with all the creature comforts. It has superb views and a lovely garden and is situated in the picturesque village of Romaldkirk. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we were so impressed we have booked again for next year.

We took our dog with us for the first time and the cottage was brilliant as a base for lovely walks.

The upstairs flat was well fitted and the decor was
cosy and "country comfortable". The views were
lovely and peaceful.
We brought our 1 year old son with us, and it was
perhaps a bit too cramped with the required cot and
high chair... but the weather was nice, so we
indulged in the bbq as much as possible.
Nice walks in the area, and the quality of the food
in the local pub was second to none.
