Description from the owner
My tasteful, bright and brand new 70 sq apartment is centrally located and a few steps from Saint Peter (2 minutes), Trastevere (2 minutes), Angel’s Castle (3 minutes), and all Rome most famous sightseeing points. It is on the 1st floor of an ancient building, belonging to the 1600's and situated just on the banks of the river Tiber, with its typical hundred-year old trees. Recommended for those who want to stay in a comfortable place and discover Rome on foot.
It is perfect for friends or families up to 6 people; the flat can be rented as a whole unit or it is also possible to rent separately the 2 double rooms with ensuite bathr...ooms on a B&B; basis. it is fully-equipped and it is divided in 1 spacious living room with 1 sofa-double bed, 1 kitchen , 1 double/twin room with private ensuite bathroom and 1 double room with private bathroom. It is possible to rent also 1 room instead of the whole apartment! The apartment has been recently renovated and re-furnished but keeps typical wooden traves on the ceiling and has double-glazed units (very important in Rome!). You can cook and eat your own meals thanks to the fully-equipped kitchen with many cooking basics, new top appliances and a dish washer! There is a dining table with 6 chairs.
There is no elevator (1st floor).
The apartment has the wi-fi, air-con (2-speed ceiling fans), hair-dryers, flat TVs (2), cotton towels an bed linens, final cleaning all included in the rent..

Cozy apt by the river, very close to Vatican, walking distance t
I could not have asked for a better host for my first visit to Europe and abroad. Silvia is very well prepared and had everything ready to go and sits down with you right off the bat to go over rules and suggestions on what to see. She gave me plenty of other suggestions when I asked for it. I really felt like a local walking out of the BB like it was my own apartment. You will be very close to the Vatican as well as the Trastevere district which has a great nightlife.
Fabulous location and layout
Location, location, location: This apartment is about 3 minutes' walk from the Vatican, and no more than 10 minutes from the top tourist district for restaurants, gelato stands, people watching and exploring. It's about a 15-minute walk to Trevi Fountain and 20 minutes to Campo de' Fiore. You may want to take a bus or taxi to the Coliseum and Forums but you can walk that if you motivated. (Our group could not walk that far because it included people ranging from 8 to 82 years old.) Bottom line: I don't think you can get a better location unless you are paying top prices for a hotel in the center of town. And for the Vatican itself, this place is perfect.
The apartment has a very convenient layout for families or for anyone who wants to cook occasionally. The kitchen is small but very well stocked with equipment (this is fairly unusual on airBNB, in my experience). After walking to two fabulous nearby markets, we cooked a big meal complete with a roasted whole fish, pasta and grilled vegetables -- this would have been impossible at any B&B; or hotel and made us feel more like "Romans" because we weren't constantly eating out. In addition, this place has two renovated bedrooms and two bathrooms (wow!), which made it ideal for our party of five. The bedrooms face a busy road, so the lightest sleeper ended up sleeping on the fold-out couch, which is facing the quiet courtyard.
Finally: Silvia is a gracious host who met us within a minute of our arrival with a big Easter basket of chocolates and Italian treats -- a super nice touch that we appreciated quite a bit. What a lovely host! We would happily stay there again without a doubt.
Only warning (and this has nothing to do with Silvia or her apartment): If possible, avoid Rome in april around the Easter holiday. It is packed with tourists, and the huge crowds detract from every pleasure. (Think of the Sistine Chapel full of at least 1,000 people.) Go off-season -- you will find Rome much more pleasant.
Nice & great location
Silvia is helpful and friendly and met us as planned, gave us a map and showed us around the apartment. The kitchen is stocked with staples such as coffee, olive oil, and cooking utensils. The room was comfortable and the building is quiet, although the rooms face a busy street. The windows are tight and double paned which helps reduce the noise. We had no trouble sleeping, and were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again-
Lovely b&b; located in close proximity to most attractions that
We had an absolutely terrific stay at Silvia's apartment; overall a wonderful experience. Silvia was a most gracious host, very responsive and helpful; Silvia made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed. I had emailed Silvia several times for information before arriving and she graciously addressed and answered all of my concerns. Silvia was also able to arrange transportation for us to and from the airport on our arrival and departure. Now that's a great host, being greeted at the airport!!
The apartment was very clean and comfortable, exactly as shown in the pictures. Table and chairs for coffee, juice, rolls and fruit in the morning, a kitchen with all needed utensils, comfortable bed and private shower and restroom.
One fantastic feature of the apartment is the close proximity to some of the most popular ancient Roman attractions. We stayed 5 nights, didn't use public transportation once, so easy to walk everywhere. The apartment is in such a great location for exploring the city by foot. Five minute walks to the Vatican and Castle Sant angelo. Very close to Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Fountain de Trevi. We were able to walk to all of our other places of interest such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palentine Hill, Piazza Venezia, Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, and Piazza del Popolo. Also there are a lot of great restaurants within a few minutes' walk.
Silvia helped make our visit to Rome very enjoyable. The city is amazing. The apartment is in a great location, in a great neighbourhood, in a great city! We will not hesitate to recommend Silvia to our family and friends, and when we return we will be staying with Silvia.

Perfect Roman Getaway
Silvia's apartment was perfect for our 3-night stay in Rome. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and were glad to be so close to all the delicious food in Trastevere (about a 10-15 minute walk). Silvia was a very welcoming host and gave us a bunch of restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations and a city map (no need to buy your own!). The only downside for us was that the bedroom was a little noisy at night, especially for light sleepers. This was understandable, however, given that the apartment is on the main road near the Tiber - which also adds great views! :) Other than that, the apartment was cozy and quiet; we didn't even hear the guests staying in the other private room. Overall, this is the most hotel-like airBnB apartment we've stayed in so far and we really appreciated Silvia's professionalism and thoughtfulness. We would highly recommend the apartment and hope to return soon!
Brightside of Rome was perfect
We stayed at the Brightside of Rome and it was an excellent choice. Silvia is was wonderful and welcoming and left us amazing muffins for breakfast. The Brightside of Rome was very clean and nicely decorated and had all the conveniences of home. It is in the perfect location to walk to all the major sites in Central Rome and the Trastevere neighborhood was wonderful. Thanks Silvia for a great stay. We hope to come back again some day! Had an amazing time in Rome ! Beautiful place and this flat was prefect for our stay. Silvia was very helpful. When we go back to Rome we will be staying here again
Made our stay
We just loved staying at Brightside of Rome. It was so much more than we expected and Sylvia is so nice I wanted to take her home with me. Little things that mean so much, cakes, presents, communication, she has it all.
Staying there in the future is a no brainer ...
A real home in Rome
Excellent location, clean, very nice, spacious, warm, good breakfast, comfortable and very well attended.
We went to Rome for 4 nights and staying at Silvia's place was a great experience, we would choose it again definetly and we highly recommend it.
1. Location is perfect, very near Vatican and at maximum 30 mins walking to the farest site of interest (e. g. Colosseo) 10 mins from Trastevere. And walking through Rome is great! 12 euros to take a cab from Termini.
2. Room well equiped, warm and clean. That is essential for us and we didn't have any to complain here. You maybe share the department with others, we were lucky to find real nice people on our stay. Heating was a bit irregular but wasn't a real problem.
3. The flat has a nice kitchen, easy to cook and clean. There is a minimarket downstairs with fair prices. Crossing the River trough Via del Corso you can find a Carrefour, far cheaper. Breakfast was good!
4. Finally is the nice attention of Silvia. Didnt have any problem of communication, she waited for our arrival and was available for our requests. A real charm!

Wonderful place to stay in Rome
Silvia's B&B; is the perfect place to enjoy Rome. Very central, 2 minutes walking fron San Pietro and Castel Sant'Angelo, very closed to the most important city's attractions and Trastevere, a very nice area with excellent food and animated nightlife. The room is bright, spacious and cozy. Silvia is a great guest: she's a very nice person and she gave us some tips to explore Rome. We had a wonderful stay and we hope to come back soon!

Great Place and Great Location
My wife and I made a last-minute trip to Rome and Silva was great! The directions from the bus station to her place were spot on and easy to follow. She had a work engagement that took her away and we actually never got to meet but she had it completely covered and never missed a beat. Like the title says, it truly is a great place and a great location.
Great Host, Good location
Silvia was a great host! The flat has a great location. It's walking distance to all the major historical sites. She is very organized and punctual and she gave us very useful tips about restaurants that locals go. I would like to stay there in the future.
Wonderful week at the Brightside of Rome
We have had a wonderful week in Rome. The apartment is well located. It is very easy to visit most of the places without taking Public Transport. We only used the bus to the Coliseum: Direct bus 50 m from the apartment. We were 4 adults and 2 children. It was OK with the place. The apartment is perfect for 4 adults. Silvia had arranged transport from and to the airport and everything were just perfect. On top of that the weather was just perfect 25 degrees at the end of October :-)

Good location for site seeing - friendly atmosphere
We enjoyed our stay at the Brightside of Rome. The apartment was very comfortable and the location was very close to the Vatican and we were able to walk to all of the sites we had hoped to see. We also loved our quiet walks along the Tiber River, which is just across the street - a change from all the noise and activity of Rome. Silvia was very helpful, even arranging taxis for us when we arrived and when we left.
Great location. Clean. Silvia gave us good reviews for meals. I loved the maps available at the apartment. I have a few comments on the gap to Excellent. The showers were very small. It was difficult to even get in and out. The futon was broke, but we made it work. Silvia said she was replacing it. We also used the shuttles provided by Silvia. This was very convenient, but I noticed the prices were quite a bit higher than taking a taxi. All and all a very good experience.

Most charming and cozy apartment and a great hostess
This delightful apartment in the middle of Rome (just few minutes walk from St. Peters basilica) offered us a bright and roomy bedroom, bath with modern amenities and a shared living room and fully equipped kitchen. A window overlooking Tiber river and an air conditioner kept us cool and a Wi-Fi kept us connected with friend and family. Rome was very hot during our visit, being so close to literally everything allowed us to return to the apartment for a mid day siesta and recharge for the evening strolls and eventually dinner. Our hostess, Silvia, masterfully guided us to great eating spots, from charming inexpensive taverns to luxurious upscale restaurants. Her friendly and warm personality made us feel like we were at home away from home. Read more

Thanks a lot Emilios!
Cute and convenient
We stayed at Silvia's apartment in early September and had a fabulous few days. The apartment is cute and simple but generally roomy (apart from the showers) with good airconditioning.
The apartment is very conveniently located, just a short stroll from St Peter's and Piazza Navona as well as the bars and restaurants of Trastavere. It is near a fairly major road but we weren't troubled by noise and benefited from having major bus stops within 50 metres to easily get around the city.
Silvia was a wonderful help in the lead up to our arrival and during our stay, booking transfers and recommending and booking restaurants for us.
Great location and great apartment
Perfect location in Rome. Walking distance to most of Rome's highlights and also close to the nightlife area of Rome but without the noises of that area (you save a lot in taxis thanks to that). The appartment offers many ammenities and the landlady, Silvia, is really nice and very helpful. I would recommend the apartment to a wide range of people because it provides a wide range of possibilities. Read more

Perfect 4 night stay in Rome
Me and 5 friends went to Rome for a four night trip and had the whole of the apartment, two in each room and the sofa bed also slept two.
Silvia arranged transfers for us and the driver met us at the airport an dropped us right outside the apartment where silvia met us and spent 30 mins giving us recommendations of where to go and marking them on the map for us so things we easier to find.
She also gave us some great restaurant recommendations, we went to both places she recommended and both were lovely.
Apartment was spacious and clean and in a perfect location, just a 5 minute walk to the vatican and about 25 mins walk to the coliseum. It is also a 5 minute walk into trastevere, which is full of some great restaurants, bars and shops. This area is less touristy which we enjoyed!
Silvia made our stay great, we would not have seen half the things we did had she not pointed us the right direction. Apartment was modern and lovely and clean with everything we needed!
I cannot recommend this apartment enough and will not hesitate to stay again when I next return!
Thanks silvia for making our holiday perfect :) Read more

Once again thank you Silvia for the honeymoon painting, it was soo sweet. We also would like to thank to Ricardo, amazing driver!!

We loved our time at Silvia's Bright side of Rome. The house was very clean and modern and close walking distance to many sights with the Vatican right around the corner. Also a 2 bus stops right outside. Silvia also gave great recommendations on places to eat etc. If we did our trip over again we still would choose to stay there. I highly recommend to all.

This was the perfect spot for our first time in Rome. Was glad to be out of the crazy city center and closer to Trastevere district. We enjoyed close walks on the river and the Vatican area. The apartment itself felt very private even though there was another guest staying there during our stay. Our room had its own bathroom which we appreciated. The personal touches and interior design of the space gave it unique charm. We would definitely come stay here again next time in we visit Rome..
Great Rome Location
Silvia is the ideal hostess. She is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to make sure your visit to Rome meets your expectations. The B&B; is ideally located: a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and less than 15-20 minutes from many of the major tourist sites you came to see.
Her breakfast is fantastic as she personally serves it with a smile, and if you are lucky, it may include a homemade baked good by her grandmother. Read more

You will not find a kinder more helpful host than Silvia. She will make you feel right at home. Private bedroom and bathroom. Delicious and generous breakfast. Less than ten minutes from the Vatican and reasonable walking distance from everything else. Located near markets, restaurants, etc. Good WiFi connection. We truly enjoyed our 5days here
and would recommend it to others. The only negative is the street noise and we solved that problem with earplugs Silvia went out of her way to accommodate our wishes. We will miss her smile and pleasant conversation. Read more

Best we've ever had!
My family (me, my lil sis, and my 64 y.o. parents) stayed at Silvia's, last month, during our Euro Trip. Silvia helped us arranging a car and driver to pick us up from the airport, and greeted us in front of the house with her adorable dog.
The apartment is sooo, if not very, beautiful! It has that Italian style decor in front of the building, but once you get inside the apartment, it's another different setting... it's well-furnished, well-designed... meticulously tidy, creative, and homey all at once!
It only took us 10 minutes of walking to get to Vatican and even less to the dazzling Old Rome area. You don't really need to use the public transportation. Should you need additional info about where else to go or to eat, Silvia has the answer. You can either take the free map of Rome, or read the book of recommendation wrote by travelers who once stayed at the apartment, too. Such a great help!
There's only one bad thing, though.. we only stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights only! The place is way to awesome, we should've stayed even longer! :)
Thanks a lot, Silvia! My parents still can't stop talking to everyone we know about just how perfect your apartment is! :)

Location, Location, Location!!
When it comes to a Rome B & B location, Brightside of Rome is the best! So close to the Vatican, Tiber, sites and wonderful dining options... Silvia was very welcoming and offered excellent advice for getting around Rome.
The breakfasts were wonderful and kept us going thru the day. It was so nice to have access to a frig to keep water and wine chilled. At times it was like having our own apartment in Rome!
The room and bathroom were spotless! The door locks were at times tricky, but we always made it in... The Wi-fi was certainly a bonus we enjoyed...
The vehicle street noise was louder in the afternoon and calmed down at night.
I would definitely choose Brightside again! Thanks, Silvia! Read more

The Vatican BB Centre is really central, easy to reach and a great location to start exploring Rome. The BB is very nicely decorated and you feel at home from the very beginning. We had to leave early (6am) and it was no problem to serve ourselves breakfast and take out of the fridge anything we needed. Thanks! The only downside is the noise from the main street, but the view onto the river and the trees is balancing it well. Read more

Thank you for staying with me....see you for the next anniversay :)
We miss this place already!
There were four of staying here, and each couple had their own big bedroom and bathroom. The shower stalls are small and cute, but it's the best hot water and pressure you'll find in Rome!
The living/dining area is much bigger than I expected.
We made our meals in the kitchen space, that has a spacious refrigerator, toaster,
coffee maker and a dishwasher! Plenty of towels available.
Clean, clean, clean!
The apartment is very close to St. Peter's Basilica. And a short walk to Campo di Fiori and Trestevere. We walked to The Colosseum which was a nice good walk.
There is a bus stop very close where you can take the tiny elettrico #116 bus for a fun, amusement-park type ride through the cobblestoned streets of Rome. We took it to the end if the line which drops you off at Borghese Villa.
The apartment is sweetly decorated, and you can tell how much Silvia the owner
cares about her place!
We will stay here again!
A Bright Spot in Rome!
We came in as a family of six, four teenagers, me and my wife. The place is excellent for going around Rome as a bus stop is only a few steps away. Silvia and the flat are everything what the articles say and more. The flat was big enough for the six of us, well kept, and a really lovely place full of charm. Silvia made sure that every little detail was attended to, even making sure that we had the little treats such as pasta, pasta sauce, olive oil, sugar, coffee, salt, and of course, the lovely cake which my kids are now addicted to. Silvia does her very best to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Her flat is clean and a great place to stay for a family. It is close to all of Rome's major attractions. Everything is within an hour's walking distance. The Vatican City is just five minutes away.
Silvia shared some great ideas for things to do and see in Rome and is a great resource for your trip.
Your bedroom faces the street and traffic noise can, at times, be noisy, so bring some earplugs, but this adds to the charm of the flat, and you can't beat being part of the street scene. We stayed for six nights and got used to the noise, and appreciated the location.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends and acquaintances. Read more

You have TV in the room and private bathroom. And the breakfast is very good. Silvia, the host, is very nice and helpful. Absotutely recommended.

Absolutely great apartment!
From our very few moments in the apartment we knew we are going to have a wonderful stay! Silvia's apartment was not only beautifully decorated, hospitable and warm but also located in a great location near the Vatican and beautiful Trastevere.
We were five adults and all found the apartment to be really comfortable with the two separate bathrooms, great kitchen equipped with everything we needed and more, great beds and all together our first great success in Rome.
Around the apartment are several bus stops with lines that go around the city allowing you to get to main attractions with ease (although we would recommend walking for the full experience).
Lots of nice places to eat in a short walking distance in Trastevere , and just walking around the area is really nice.
Silvia was very easy to contact and helped us with anything and everything we needed.
We are extremely satisfied with our choice to stay there - would definitely recommend it to families, couples - anyone!
The apartment (and Silvia and her nice parents) deserve every praise - don't hesitate to book it - you will not regret it.

Excellent bnb in Rome!
This is the best bnb I stayed in my whole trip in Italy!!! Silvia is a super nice host she waited for our arrival in front of her building in midnight even though we were not able to give her a call, Bcoz it was the first night we arrived we did not have any sim card to make any call as we landed Rome from a late night flight... And then she had everything prepared like map, recommendation of spots, restaurants, how to get around, and explained everything in detail very clearly without rushing... Breakfast is very nice with large variety of drinks and bakery, the room is very nice with private bath and lovely decoration as we saw in the photos. What you see is what you get. Very good location too u can go to basically most places by foot, and there are bus stops nearby if u don't wanna walk. Highly recommend this lovely bnb with very reasonable price too! Read more

Appartment is clean and cozy, furnished and decorated with a good taste. We felt very comfortable staying in Brightside for 5 days.
Location is absolutely great. We didn't have to use public transport, just walked a lot. One day we walked to Coloseum, next day to Spanish steps. Vatican is a neighborhood. We can't imagine better place to start sightseeing when in Rome.
But the best of all is Silvia herself. She is a wonderful hostess and a great person. She welcomed us with a big smile when we arrived. She adviced where to go for dinner, what is the best place for shopping, etc. She was making our mornings sweet (breakfasts) and cheerful. Yes, Silvia is really special :) Read more

Excellent accomodations and close to fantastic eateries, wonderf
We really enjoyed our stay with Brightside BB. It was a close 10 minute walk to the Vatican. If you wish to experience Rome as a local, look no further than staying here.
Room was clean, the host was simply amazing, so much so when we returned from Sorrento, we purposely stayed an extra night with Silvia - Brightside BB hostess.
There is a bus (#571) at her doorstep that will take you to the Colosseum, and bus (#64) that will take you to the train station Termini. So it's very convenient travel wise. Even walking from her place to Colosseum/Roman Forums was a mere 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Breakfast is very "Italian", what North americans would call a "continental breakfast." That said, coffee was really good, and her homemade cakes were yummy.
We'd go back in a heartbeat! Read more

Go back soon!!!
Cute apartment in a fantastic position
An immaculate apartment in a great position. What a wonderful apartment literally minutes from the Vatican city. This is a cute, clean and comfortable apartment, easy to get to, within walking distance of the Vatican and the old city of Rome, within minutes of restaurants, shopping and anything you could possibly want. Silvia was a lovely host, we had nothing we had to even think about except enjoying our stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and was perfect for our family. Thank you Silvia we would recommend it for anyone visiting Rome

Best spot to visit Vatican museum
Sylvia is very kind to prepare our cozy room and tasty breakfast. Her house is very close to Vatican and you can enjoy typical Roman traditional city view from the window. She is a good adviser for museum and restaurants. I am sure to visit her house when I stay in Rome. Read more

When in Rome...
Silvia is the best hostess! She is very organized, helpful, and friendly during our stay here. She welcomed us and showed us around the flat when we arrived. She also gave us a few recommendations for local food and drink. Her lovely flat is located literally 10 minutes walking distance from the Vatican. Bus lines outside conveniently take you to the city center (Coliseum) Her flat is beautifully decorated and very neat and tidy. Amenities that really made our stay enjoyable: air conditioned rooms, TV in rooms, use of the kitchen, and a bidet in the washroom. Roman breakfast every morning was splendid as well; she has a great selection of teas and coffee available for use. Silvia checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything. She even helped us book reservations for a local family restaurant that served really amazing pasta (20e for two, highly recommended). If you want a pleasant stay in Roma, Brightside is the right side! Read more

Thank you very much Godwin for your review! It was also nice for me to host you, and I hope to meet you again the future!
A brightside experience!
The room, as well as the entire apartment, is very comfortable with a delicate design, fresh feel and very friendly host! It is also perfect for people traveling together in a group: two rooms, each with its private bathroom, and a nice and well equipped kitchenette.
It is just in walking distance to several great areas of Rome, forgetting car and public transport.
Silvia, the owner, was polite and always available helping us to have the best stay in Rome, advising what to eat and where to eat avoiding the very turistic places!
Delightful place, warm and helpful hosts, perfect location!
What more is there to say? We booked Brightside for a last minute vacation and knew from the moment we heard from Silvia that we'd made the right choice. She provided us with essetial advice pre-arrival, and a warm welcome was waiting for us when we finally arrived. The bed was wonderful, the neighborhood quiet and yet a quick walk from all the sites. We could walk from Trastavere and delicious dinners to the apartment in fifteen minutes! I also want to mention that Silvia helped us secure a rental car when we sadly had to leave Rome. We hope to return and Brightside will be our first choice!
This is an unbeatable location, a perfect accommodation.
I've been to Rome before and Hotels are always overrated, never what you would expect from them. But Silvia's house is a charming, beautiful in a typical Roman environment with all the comforts you will need for your stay.
We have spent great moments here!! Silvia is the best hostess you can imagine, sweet and nice and always worried about make you feel comfortable.
You won't regret it!
