My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Gabriela, a friend of Walter and Natalia. The apartment exceeded all our expectations and we spent a most enjoyable week there. It was so quiet, comfortable and safe -- a joy to return to after hours of sightseeing and walking. We would love to return some day, perhaps for a little longer.

We felt like we were renting from friends. We received many informative emails preparing us for our upcoming visit. When our flight was delayed Walter and Natalia were very helpful and assisted us with our change of plans, phoning the cab and helping us to meet our tour. The cell phone that they loan to their clients was indispensable and helped us out more than once. The accommodations were immaculate and tastefully decorated with Natalia's wonderful artwork. We loved being awoken by the birds singing in the early morning air. The location was perfect being a stone throws away from the Cavour subway, wonderful restaurants and shopping. I only wish that we had had more than 2 1/2 days in this fascinating city. We hope to return soon.

Walter and Natalia's conscientiousness enthusiasm makes the Roman Forum an ideal apartment. My wife and I spent seven nights in Rome and highly recommend the apartment. It is small, but well laid out and functional. If you are a big person, you may want to reconsider. The kitchen is small but also functional.
The location is ideal. The apartment is within walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine, and just about every other major site. We only took the metro one time to the Vatican-every place else we walked. A metro stop (Cavour) and several bus stops are very close, within walking distance.
Walter handles most of the booking arrangements and is very prompt in returning e-mails. During our stay he even told us about an impending strike during which public transportation would be shut down. Natalia seems to manage the guest relations, and she is very good at it. Upon arrival she sits down with you spends the time necessary to familiarize you with the area. She reviews locations on a map, and suggests places to visit. She recommends her favorite (non-tourist restaurants) and points out markets, grocery stores, etc.
I highly recommend Roman Forum.

My family and I stayed at Natalia's apartment and it was great! I loved the ample space for a family of 4 and the cozy location. It's a short (real like 8 minute walk) to the Vatican and near a lot of restaurants. The space is clean, big enough for all, and got a working kitchen. Love it!

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Colosseum apartment, and once again it has delivered everything we hoped for. Walter and Natalia are the perfect hosts - nothing is too much trouble (they even leave you a mobile phone to use). The flat offers all the amenities you need, is comfortable and in a perfect location: 2 mins from the metro and 5-10 mins walk from the Colosseum and Forum. The immediate surrounding area is packed with bars and restaurants. We have stayed in many places in Rome, but after this flat was recommended to us by a friend, we've never looked back (and if the guest book is anything to go by, we're not the only ones). Next time we're in Rome, we'll be staying here yet again (and again, and again).

Walter and Natalia was truly wonderful. Our driver brought us straight from the airport where Walter mets us and spent an hour making us feel right at home in both the apartment and the city! The apartment was spotless and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring. In short we loved it and not only would we stay again... We would recommend this apartment to any couple looking for the perfect stay in the perfect city. We had the entire city at our finger tips! Magnificent! -

CopenhagenAnother wonderfull week in Rome
Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in September 2012
During the last 8 years+ we have been regular guests at Natalia and Walter's apartments. The ones in Via San Giovanni were excellent, and we were certainly not disappointed at our first stay in this apartment. A quiet street, very close to ancient Rome, a lot of small nice restaurants with well cooked food to reasonable prices, and a cosy apartment with a view to a small garden in the backyard. A few meters to the Metro station, and only a little longer to a medium size supermarket. What more can you ask for in the middle of a big city with millions of tourists. Of course we know our way around, and we already had our favourite places to go and to eat, but again, as usual, we were well guided at our arrival, ( this time by Walter ), were to eat, and what to see. Walter knows, that we have seen all the main tourist attractions, so he always have some suggestions to visits, that we haven't thought of. Maps, business cards and other info is available, so it is just up to us what to do. This time was the first for us in Rome without any visitors, ( that is why we have rented the other apartments ), and this apartment was certainly big enough for two people, and considering were it is situated, we think the price is very fair. There is a small "kitchen", but - who wants to cook themselves when they are in Italy ? Bathroom, living room / bedroom are perfect, and if you really have to stay at home, there are plenty of Tv-channels. Next time we are having a two-some holiday in Rome, this will be the place to go.
Many thanks to Natalia and Walter.

This was our first experience renting in Rome. The apartment was wonderful for our needs. Conveniently located just steps from the subway, but on a quiet street with several good restaurants nearby. Air conditioning that worked well during a heat wave. The lift was great after a long day's touring. The unit is small, but cleverly designed to make efficient use of the space. Plentiful storage for our clothes. Lovely garden and small balcony. Natalia and Walter couldn't have been more helpful with transportation and orientation. We'd definitely recommend the apartment to a single or couple.

My husband and I stayed at this Roma appartment last august from friends' recommendation. We loved the cute appartment and it's location. The Monty neighbourhood is very artsy and happening and the appartment is close to everything; the sites, restaurant, shopping. We were greeted by a friend of the owner who was extremely friendly and helpful. She even made our dinner reservations and called cabs for us. The apartment itself is small but cosy, comfortable, very clean and very nicely decorated. We will go back to this appartment someday. Our experience was perfect is every way.

Left on 12/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed at the Roman Forum apartment in September of 2012. Walter and Natalia were quick to respond to any of our questions prior to booking and provided us with all the information we needed to feel comfortable about comfirming our reservation. Natalia helped arrange our transportation from the airport to the apartment on our arrival day which was a huge help. The apartment is cozy, clean and very well maintained. It was even stocked with some essentials (coffee, tea, biscuits, jams etc.) that we really appreciated. Natalia met us at the apartment upon our arrival and spent an hour with us providing all kinds of useful information and advice on the neighbourhood and surroundings. We were given a detailed orientation on the apartment itself and were left with all kinds of maps and restaurant information. What a great way to start our vacation! We were also provided with a cell phone that had local prepaid minutes included.
The apartment is a short walk to the Colosseum and just steps from the Cavour subway station. Our neighbourhood, known as "Monti" is lovely, clean and you get a real sense of what it's like to live in Rome. Shops and restaurants are plentiful in this casual, hip area and we always felt safe. You can walk anywhere in Rome from this neighbourhood and if walking is not your thing, cabs are plentiful and the subway system is easy to use.
The evening before our departure Walter went out of his way to contact us and warn us of a pending transportation strike that was to take place the next day. Walter's timely call allowed us to plan accordingly which saved us from a huge inconvenience. Thanks Walter!
We would not hesitate to rent from Walter and Natalia again. They are a lovely couple and would do anything to help make your vacation in Rome a success.
Thanks Walter and Natalia for making our stay so special!

I came, I saw, I loved. This is a great description (appropriately partially borrowed from Julius Caesar)of our stay in Rome and of our accommadations at the Roman Forum apartment. My husband and I were met upon our arrival via Termini Station at the apartment by Walter. He was very helpful and spent over an hour helping us settle in and explain a map of the city and the many ruins, eateries, museums, churches, etc. and how to find all of them mostly within walking distance of the apartment. The apartment is centrally located between the Termini Station, the Colosseo and the Capitoline Museum. If our destination was not within walking distance we had the convenience of the Metro Line B close to the apartment. The apartment was a cozy studio style apartment beautifully painted and equiped with all the conveniences we needed for our stay. It was clean, homey and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day of touring. Walter had even suggested a grocery just a block away that supplied us with groceries, snacks and the all important Italian Fanta. Although we had the option of cooking, we only ate breakfast at the apartment and delighted in sampling many of the fine restaurants also within walking distance. We were so close to the Colosseo that most of our evenings ended with a trip to see it and the Forum illuminated under the night sky (it was absolutely breathtaking). I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to friends and look forward to returning again to Rome and the cozy studio soon!

Edinburgh, United KingdomOur Experience
Left on 12/21/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We booked this apt in Feb for Nov. In august, our Son died in an accident. We were going to cancel, but decided to go as we visited Rome with our son five years ago and thought it would bring us comfort as our trip with him was such a happy one. Six days after our arrival, our Father died suddenly.
We booked this apt on the strength of good reviews and emails from the owners ensuring us the apt was clean, quiet. Since our stay would be for 1 month, comfort was important. Nov 1st, our flight from the UK was delayed 9 hours due to mechanical trouble. We called to explain we would be arriving late. Walter was there to greet us at 11pm and seemed to think we missed the flight, despite explaining to Natalia. After all this, the apt was very dirty. We spent 2 hours cleaning late at night. The apt is a small studio with a sliding door. The small fridge is old and not frost free. Stove and work top were dirty and the sink was grimy. The soft furnishings were stained and worn throughout. The floor space is limited and on 3 levels. The dirty bathroom was cluttered with half empty toiletry bottles. All floors, surfaces were dirty. The garden is neglected. The front door had 7 rules taped up, crooked. The tape was old and curled. This made the apt look more like a hostel. We removed them and put them in order so it would look nicer.
The area is commercial, but the noise can’t be heard when the windows are closed. However, the people who live upstairs are up all night slamming, stomping. No insulation. We met the owners on day 3 and told them about the condition of the apt. They were apologetic but blamed it on the fill-in housekeeper (Nov 1st is a holiday in Rome). We explained we cleaned the apt. and would maintain it throughout our stay. The owners were with us 15 min. We felt as if we were a bother to them. Natalia took several phone calls and left 5 minutes before Walter. They spoke to one another in Italian while they were with us. We mentioned our son, and Natalia rolled her eyes. This offended us and made us feel very uneasy. When we received the news of our Father’s death, we called and asked the owners to arrange a taxi to the airport the next morning. They seemed aloof. We never mentioned money and neither did they. Our concern was to return to the UK. The apt was very clean when we left.
We later emailed the owners. They didn’t email back, but sent a refund of 1 wk. We emailed and inquired about the possibility of them renting the apt for the remaining 3 weeks. 1 wk later they sent us a rude and insensitive email. We felt as though we were being bullied. The owners said hey were not obligated to return any money. Fair enough, but it was their attitude. We’ll never forget the way they made us feel.
We rely on reviews and contact with owners. We were misled about this property and cannot recommend it. We left a review on the Vrbo/Homeaway website and the owners were dishonest in their immediate response saying that they paid our taxi transfer to the airport - they did not!! We paid the driver 60 Euros when we arrived at the airport the next morning. The cost of a taxi to the airport is 50 Euros. Furthermore, if the owners did indeed pay the driver, then why didn’t they tell us this? It’s a shame that the owners felt compelled to mislead prospective renters in this way. We paid both airport transfers, to and from the apt!
Despite this apt being rented consistently throughout the year, there have been no reviews for this property on this site since January – nearly one year. We feel it is because most people simply won’t leave a bad review, choosing instead to leave no review at all. We have left many reviews over the years on Tripadvisor and Vrbo. We believe in commending a hotel or vacation rental owner for a great experience, but we also feel an obligation to other prospective renters to make them aware when we have had a bad experience. We feel a complaint is a gift for it gives the owner a chance to improve their business and gives people an honest choice of where to stay.Response from Natalia - 01/05/2013
Owner
I always take advice and suggestions from our guests, but this review sounds more like an attempt to destroy our reputation and our business. We take pride informing travelers and guests, that for the 2nd year in a row we have been recognized with "Top Vacation Rentals" award from Flipkey, and we have more than 80 positive reviews. The allegation that we are in any way dishonest is unjustified and very upsetting because we take pride in going out of our way to be fair and honest with our guests. Our reputation is so very important to us and this guest has unfairly attacked that.
Here is some history :
In Feb 2012 we received a request for a one month rental for Nov 2012 and because for part of the month was low season it was given with a large discount. On September 10th, we received the family’s terrible news. Of course we understood the state of mind of a couple hit by such a tragedy. We gave them all the time to decide if they would cancel their vacation, offering to give back the entire deposit even beyond the cancellation policy was over. In the meantime we continued to receive requests for the apartment which could have been rented but we wanted to hold it for them.
On the 1st of November the day of guests arrival, Rome's city center was blocked for the entire day due to a violent protest. For this reason we were unable to send our regular housekeeper, so we were obligated to arrange a backup. Guests also called to say they would be 9 hrs late. Maybe due to the language barrier I could have misunderstood the reason for the delay. Nonetheless we were still very accommodating and re-organized the new transportation and check-in. Walter met them at the apartment for quick, late night check in, promising to meet again when they were rested. When we met, guest said that the apartment was dirty when they arrived. This seemed strange because our backup housekeeper is very reliable. Still, we apologized and offered to send over my top housekeeper right away. They refused. Instead of cleaning in the middle of the night, why not inform us immediately and show in order to resolve the situation?
In the review they made numerous complaints, which they did not mention when we met them in person.
Studio with Sliding Door, Small Fridge : All that is clearly stated in the site.
Furniture: Our apt are decorated with a mix of modern and antique furniture, not worn throughout
Neglected Garden: It belongs to another property
Apt split over 3 levels: only the kitchen and bathroom are separated from the living area by 2 steps.
People upstairs are noisy: Never had any complaints about them.
Their claim that our orientation visit lasted only 15 minutes it is simply untrue. We sat with the couple for an hour giving them ideas and places to visit, even offering to take them for a day excursion in the countryside. Walter and I take pride in being good hosts who care about our guests, which all of our other reviews mention.
As for the complaint that I was rolling my eyed and being aloof, it is a very harsh and unfair accusation. I am very empathetic as last year I almost lost my own son in a terrible traffic accident. Sometimes my lack of words could only be because of the language barrier not because I am being aloof. This situation is a very delicate one and I didn't want to say something that can be misconstrued due to our difference in languages.
When we were asked to organize transportation back to the airport, we asked the company to bill us. Although the guests now claim they paid themselves, I have confirmed with the car company and the driver that no money was collected. Is this a good reason to call us dishonest?
As far as a refund for the one month rental: I spoke on the phone with the gentleman the day prior departure and informed him that I would offer a partial refund, although we were not obliged to do it. When he stated that it was not necessary, I insisted. No actual amount was discussed but I felt that it was a nice gesture. We sent the refund, the amount of one week out of three remaining, and immediately after we have received an email complaining about the amount. I emailed back explaining that what we have sent was a reasonable amount, since we took a loss as well. Immediately after they began to post terrible reviews about our apartment and ourselves.
Thank you for listening to our side of the story. We take our work seriously and this attack on our reputation is painful.

My husband and I have stayed in this charming apartment twice -- 3 weeks in 2010 and one week in 2012. It is as beautiful as it looks on the website. Walter and Natalia are fabulous hosts who do everything possible to insure that their guests have a wonderful visit. The apartment feels like a real home and not an impersonal rental. While small, it has everything we need. The bed is extremely comfortable and the apartment is blissfully quiet when the double glazed windows are closed. The neighborhood could not be better. It is the "real" Rome. There are excellent local shops for groceries and other essentials. Good and reasonably priced restaurants and cafes abound. Buses and the metro are practically at the door. In short, this is a perfect base for discovering the cultural riches of Rome.

We had a brilliant few days exploring all of the main sites in Rome. The appartment is ideally situated for the metro and tour bus. A five minute walk to the Colluseum. Natalia and Walter go to a lot of effort to make you welcome and comfortable. There are some lovely restaurants very nearby and yet the appartment feels very quiet at night.
Having a seperate room to sleep and our own kitchen and bathroom allowed us to relax much more than in a hotel. A lovely little Juliet balcony with a view of a garden and trees gave it a relaxed feel too. -

This apartment was everything I had hoped for when looking at photos and reading reviews. The only thing I will caution about is that it is small. That being said, the owners maximized the use of space and it was fine for my husband and I for 8 days.
The paintings that Natalia did added interest and elegance to the apartment. There are two large windows and a patio door, which made the apartment light and cheery. The walls are painted a soft yellow, the floors are a burnt-orange tile, and part of the ceiling is high with exposed beams--felt very Tuscany! Kitchen is small, but we only used it for coffee and snacks. Bathroom is also small--especially the shower.
The apartment is in a great location--right across from the metro station, and within walking distance of the Colosseum, Forum, and a number of other sites. St. Peter-in-Chains Church is right around the corner. Actually, we walked all over Rome from that apartment! There are four restaurants within a block, which we ate at; the Elite grocery store is nearby and fun to go to.
Natalia and Walter were wonderful and very responsive throughout the reservation-rental process. We took them up on their offer to arrange transportation to/from the airport, and that was well worth it. Natalia and Walter met us at the apartment and acclimated us. They also gave us a local cell phone to use, and also to reach them if needed. We felt we had friends in Rome if we needed help in any way.
Visiting Rome in November turned out to be perfect. There were no lines at the attractions, and we had good weather. We fell in love with Rome and would love to return and stay in this apartment again. I almost hate to write this review, as I'm afraid that this apartment won't be available when we go again!! -

Trip advisor/Flip Key have never let me down! This was the perfect place to stay while spending 11 days in Rome. The apartment is well located, clean (Very Clean!), quiet and comes equipped with everything you need to enjoy your visit. Flawless internet, washer, microwave, comfy bed, next to Cavour Metro Stop, market nearby, Mailboxes store below for shipping books home, in short everything is thought of...including many maps and travel books. I brought mine, then shipped them home! Trust Walter and Natalie to furnish what you need.
Walter met me at the apartment, and though he was leaving for the us in the morning, spent two hours going over what and how to see the sites of Rome. It was invaluable. Left a note on a good place to eat...though truly, being alone, I ate most evenings in the apartment.
A great oasis in the people and traffic filled Roma!!! Thanks for a great experience! -

Left on 04/03/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This apartment has a perfect location just a short walk from the Colosseum and the Forum and several of the major not-to-be-missed churches and museums of Rome. But perhaps even more importantly it is half a block from the Cavour Metro Station from which you can reach Termini in one stop and from there all over Rome and catch the Transvesuvianno to Herculaneum, Pompeii, Naples, etc. It is located just where Julius Caesar was born and raised in an area called Subura in Roman times. The neighborhood restaurants are delightful and inexpensive by Roman standards. The owners do everything possible to be of assistance and provide complete tourist and living information. The apartment itself is small but much larger than the average hotel room and has sufficient space for unpacking. It is well maintained which you cannot say for many rentals. It has plenty of light and a view of a lovely inner garden from the bedroom area. It is warm in winter and has aC for warm weather. We would not recommend it for a stay of longer than 10 days but it is perfect for a stay of that length or less. It could use more comfortable chairs and sofa for reading if you plan to spend time in the apartment. The kitchen is small but serviceable – everything works well but cooking a full meal is tricky. All in all we would recommend it highly for a short stay of less than 10 days for people who do not expect to cook full meals or work in the apartment.

My husband and I stayed in the Forum apartment for 5 nights. We liked everything about the apartment. It was very clean and comfortable. So much more space than your standard European hotel room. It was great having a kitchen and although we didn't cook any meals in the room, we did eat breakfast and snacks in the room. We could also store fresh fruit and water bottles in the fridge to take with us as we toured Rome. The location was perfect for sightseeing. We were only a few blocks from ancient Rome - Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill, etc. Also the Cavour metro stop was steps from the apartment making getting to other parts of the city very convenient. The apartment was very quiet (this is very important to me). The street outside the apt. is a side street with minimal traffic with just typical city noise. The windows have great sound insulation, so when they're shut you can't hear any of the noises from outside. Natalia and Walter are wonderful hosts - helpful and accessible without being intrusive. We spent two weeks in Italy and Rome was our favorite spot thanks, in large part, to our wonderful accommodations.
Hints: Buy the Roma pass. It includes free admission to two museums and the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine hill count as one. Make the other the Borghese Museum. It also includes unlimited public transportation for 3 days. Plan to walk, walk, walk. It's the best way to see the city. -

I traveled to Rome with my fiance for a short three-day stay. After several hostels and cheap hotels, this apartment was just what was needed. It is not a large space, but for two people, it was plenty. The bed was quite comfortable and we very much enjoyed Natalie's decoration of the interior. The hosts let us know of good spaces to eat and the must see (but not often visited) places nearby. I would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to a friend.

We carefully selected the Dolce Roma Romantica apartment by reading reviews like this - and we made absolutely the right decision. Natalia and Walter had organised a taxi to collect us from Ciampino airport, which made our arrival so easy. We were whisked in through the Roman traffic straight to the apartment where Walter made us very welcome, showed us how everything worked and gave us an extremely comprehensive introduction to the area, potential sights to visit and local restaurants etc. Invaluable for first time visitors like ourselves.
The apartment is pretty, airy and comfortable, and the location is excellent. we loved the peace in the evening and the fact that the area - whilst being very central - is not touristy. The deli in the Via Cavour - an easy stagger - is extremely well stocked and there are a wide range of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity, ranging from a very cheap eaterie a stone's throw away - get there early. It's very popular - to angelletis round the corner (house wine, food and service excellent but a bit pricier). We even went to one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Rome which was, again, super and good value.
The central location of the apartment meant that we were able to walk everywhere and really got a feeling for the city, as well as discovering gems that are not on the average tourist trail - Trajan's Market was amazing. Walter's tip about visiting the Colliseum and the Forum via the Palatine Hill entrance saved us a lot of queing (If you're a teacher, Rome is enlightened enough to believe that you need to be educated, and gives substantial discounts in many locations, making it cheaper for me not to buy the Roma pass.)
We got hooked on Rome and would love to return to the same apartment and see some more. Walter was a marvellous host, and our emergency contact phone gave us a feeling of security, even though, fortunately, we didn't need to use it. -

Natalia and Walter met my husband and me to welcome us in person to their
wonderful apartment. The apartment was warm and cozy and it was a great
treat to return there, whether during the day for a break or in the evening
after a very full day of sightseeing. Natalia's helpful suggestions of where to
visit, including several churches that were not originally on our list, were
greatly appreciated and added to the enjoyment of our time in Rome. We also
appreciated learning more about the bus system, which was so convenient for
us. The apartment was in a wonderful location -- steps away from the subway
and close to bus connections. We felt very safe and enjoyed every minute in
Rome. If we return to Rome we will definitely try to stay here again. -

Thankyou so much to Natalia and Walter for helping make our stay in Rome so special. From the moment Walter met us in the lovely apartment, and his introduction to the city and its highlights we new we would have a wonderful stay.
The apartment is beautiful and so centrally located that we were able to walk to all major sights from the Colloseum to the Piazza Navarona on to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. If you wish to go further afield you are only 50m from the metro.
The apartment is very well equipped, clean and the ideal spot for a romantic stay in Rome.

This trip to Rome was lovely and without the help our host Stepanie we would have been truely in trouble. My husband's billfold was stolen the second day of our trip. She helped us through the whole experience with endless patience. Having the phone was really nice as we could immediately communicate with our bank etc. We also trave with C-Pap air machines for sleep apnea and needed supplies and converter plugs which she provided. The apartment was lovley and having the washer was just the ticket. We spent time touring effortlessly as the Via cavour station of the Metro was just steps from our door. All in all this was a lovely trip. Kate and Bob Mass

Excellent airport transfers pre booked by Walter and recommend this service.
Very helpfull arrival information package and friendly briefing - including coffee and pastries.
Great location near metro (Monti) with good selection of restaurants and cafes including a good supermarket near by (via Cavour).
A location that invites you to become a local and explore some of the not so well known parts of Rome - all with very easy access to the metro.
Lovely, quiet and secure appartment with small balconey that opens on to a tree filled courtyard. The only challenge was the very small shower. We had a wonderful and relaxing time and look forwrd to returning soon. -

This was our first trip to Italy/Europe. Natalia & Walter greeted us with a WARM welcome and made us feel right at home. They went above & beyond by showing us the do's & don't's of Rome with maps, restaurant & site seeing recommendations. It felt like we were being greeting by family & not strangers. The apartment was charming, clean & spacious. Nice location & good to be near Ancient Rome sites since that is a long day of walking. You can just walk a few blocks home to relax before getting ready for dinner. It was nice to be very close to the subway stop as well although we only used it late one night to get home from the Spanish Steps as we were too tired to walk. LOVED THE APARTMENT! LOVED NATALIA & WALTER! LOVED ROME!! Thanks again!

The Roman Forum apartment was in a perfect location - 5 mins walk from the Colisseum, 1 min from the nearest metro station, and 2 mins from a luxurious supermarket. Our welcome was immediate and friendly by Walter and Natalia, despite the late hour of our arrival. We were given a list of tips and advice on places to eat, sights to see given our short stay, even how to use the coffee percolator. The apartment was perfect for 2, clean, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. Because of all this attention to detail we had one of the most enjoyable and fulfulling holidays ever. We were able to plan our excursions quickly and effectively, saving valuable time and effort and using the invaluable local knowledge we'd been given on our arrival. We have no hestitation in recommending this to our friends - we've been enthusing ever since we returned! Thank you very much - we'll be back.

We were met by Natalia and she guided us to the apartment and pointed out many good restaurants and sites in the area.
The apartment was very nicely decorated and very comfortable.
We really liked the bathroom with the easy to use shower. We enjoyed having a washing machine.
The area was very nice, however it is not centrally located so you must learn to use the Metro.
Overall, the apartment was a great find!

We loved our comfortable stay at this apartment - it was so personalized, unlike a hotel room. Natalia arranged transportation for us both arriving and departing, which truly made it hassle free, and she went over everything with us when we got there, which was very helpful, especially the restaurant recommendations. She even gave us a cell phone to call her if we had any difficulties, which is way beyond the norm. The location was perfect and we walked a good part of the city. When we were tired, we could just hop on the metro and we were literally within minutes of our place. It was very quiet and off the beaten track for the typical tourist, but close to shopping and eating. Thank you, Walter and Natalia, and we hope to be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Roman Forum apartment. It met all our expectations. Cooking facilities were great and we often cooked meals from made from local produce. We very much appreciated Walter assisting us with orientating us around Rome and his hepful local knowledge. As a result we are sure we saw more of the local life of Rome and some very interesting sights. We also appreciated all the helpful tourist information available in the apartment and info left by other guests. Followed up on some great restaurant recommendations! The apartment was very comfortable, loved the artwork and it was great to overlook the garden. Very central to all sights and within walking distance and close to transport, very secure and amazingly quiet. Would recommend and plan to return! Walter was very helpful and Natalia was easy to deal with and professional. Everything was just as arranged. Thank you!

Natalia and Walter's apartment Roman Forum was amazing. Close to everything, including a good grocery store and a metro station. The apartment is beautifully decorated with Natalia's frescoes. Windows look onto the street and a lovely courtyard. It is cozy, perfect for a couple, although there is a divider so that the living area and the bedroom can be separated and a third person could stay on the pull-out couch. The hosts were very charming, helpful and available for questions. I had a small technical problem and Walter was there immediately to help. The queen size bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fairly well equipped, and there were so many extras, such as guidebooks and wireless internet access. I stayed there 2 weeks, while at a conference in Rome, and I will definitely return!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Natalia and Walter's apartment. Walter greeted us on our arrival and provided tons of information on what to do in the local area and in Rome as a whole. The apartment itself was just as lovely as it appears in the website pictures. It's small but well-appointed, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It's located just a two minute walk from a subway station, and the area around it is lively and interesting and feels very safe. The apartment itself is very quiet though. You'll sleep well after a busy day in the heart of Rome.

The apartment is very well located, near to an underground station only 2 stops from the main railway station, and surrounded by reasonably priced restaurants and cafes. The local supermarket is excellent with everything you could need. The owner provides lots of information at the beginning of your stay which is very helpful, and a mobile phone is provided in case of emergency. A 10 minute walk brings you to the colliseum and Roman forum, so you are truly in the centre of things! However, the apartment itself is quiet and there is no traffic noise. We walked everywhere and found the location to be just what we wanted. Inside, it is clean, well decorated with lovely frescoes and has all necessary utensils for a making breakfasts, drinks and simple meals. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to any independently minded couple.

My husband and I stayed in the Roman Forum Apartment for 5 nights and it was a truly wonderful experience. Comfortable, cosy, beautifully equipped as are all of Natalia & Walter's apartments in Rome. The double glazing is fantastic in such a busy, noisy city, the generous supply of linens, the marvellous breakfast 'basket' which virtually kept us supplied our whole stay! The amount of sightseeing information supplied to guests is limitless and all so incredibly helpful - even down to a mobile phone for use should there be an emergency or you need advice from Natalia or Walter during your travels around Rome. Nothing is too much trouble for this charming couple! The area is incredibly convenient for the Metro connecting to the Termini and is also surrounded by a marvellous selection of restaurants and interesting bars. This is the 3rd of their apartments we have stayed in (on previous trips and on this trip, we have stayed in the 2 apartments in Via San Giovanni in Lateranno - they are equally superb and brilliantly located for all sightseeing!) - I have recommended Natalia and Walter's apartments to many friends & fellow Italian students who have used them on more than one occasion and they have all come home to New Zealand raving!!! Natalia & Walter, hopefully next year we will be back to see you, ciao a presto! Noreen & Mike Brandon, Auckland, New Zealand
