Rome City Center Trastevere cozy apt up to 4
Rome, Lazio, Italy
Additional Location Information
The Trastevere area consists of a maze of narrow streets that is still, despite the evident gentrification, one of the city's most authentically Roman neighbourhoods. Literally translated, Trastevere means "across the Tiber", which, of course describes its proximity to the historical centre, just southwest on the other side of the river, and just a ten minute walk away. This area includes two neighbourhoods: Trastevere and Monteverde. The first one is a modern and residential area in which you can find green open spaces (such as the huge and beautiful Villa Doria Pamphili, one of the biggest park in Rome), trading areas and many different shops. Trastevere is one of the oldest and typical neighbourhood of the city. The narrow paved streets and allays are plenty of cinemas, cafés and restaurants with tables scattered in the pavement, mostly at Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere and in Viale Trastevere. The churches of Santa Cecilia and San Francesco a Ripa are very remarkable like Raffaello's paintings in the same area.

Small cosy nest at the heart of Trastevere
Pleasant welcome description of the businesses, the restaurants and the surrounding useful points.
Quiet and restful apartment with all the conveniences.
We appreciated a lot the closeness of a however picturesque district that is Trastevere
truelly a home away from home
owner was great. welcomed us at the apartment, gave us detailed information about the place and location. offered a great map which we used throughout our stay! croissants, milk and biscuits were a nice treat for breakfast. best thing about the place was we felt cosy and safe. it had great a/c., also the plug converter we found to help us recharge our cameras, mobiles etc was a lifesaver! down side was no available wi-fi but we hardly needed it as we were more out and about. location was a little far from Rome's centre but getting a short tram ride and walking our way through was a great way to see the sites and shop shop shop! i would book this place again if we were headed for Rome's main attractions.

Location, location, location!
My husband and I stayed at "Rome Quiet Home" for 4 nights and the place was nice, comfortable and clean. Marzia had arranged a map for us with handy information and there were several guide books in the apartment to look through for inspiration. The apartment is perfectly situated in probably the most charming and nicest part of Rome, Trastevere. Very short distance from restaurants and only a short walk from public transport. Easy to find. We had no problems sleeping at night and we found the place nice and quiet. We would (Will!!!) stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay
Quiet, clean and spacious apartment. Perfect for short stays.
Well located: most of the places of interest are within walking distance. Many restaurants, supermarket, children playing ground nearby.
Don't expect much for breakfast)
And there is no wi-fi internet there. Read more

A fantastic base for the Rome experience!
Marzia was very friendly and helpful from day one-from our initial enquiries through to booking our airport pickups etc.
The apartment is small and quaint, and was perfect for our 3 night stay with 4 adults. There is a small kitchenette which we only used for morning coffees but would be fine to cook a simple meal.
The location of the apartment is brilliant. Walking distance from most tourist sites and easy access to buses. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from. Trastevere was the perfect spot to get a feel for life in Rome.
We loved it and thank Marzia for everything! Read more

Thank you very much to you, it is lovely to have guests like you :)
A great place to stay
A nice 1 bedroom apartment which was comfortable and had good storage space in a wardrobe & has a large bathroom. Kitchen facilities are good enough for a short stay with some provisions provided. Our teenage children found the sofa bed comfortable though it does ned to be folded in each day due to space restrictions.
We really liked the location, plenty of cafes & restaurants, less than 5 mins to public transport, reasonably quite apart from the odd motorcycle.
The only thing I think is needed is an air conditioner as the 2 windows are high & small. Wi-fi needs to be improved as we only had signal if we opened the front door or stood in the street.
I would definetely stay here again. Read more

Charming Roman abode
A fab little apartment in the centre of Trastevere. A comfortable living area with all the kitchen utensils you'd need and lovely little welcome pack with juice and milk. But why cook, when you can buy delicious pastries and hot coffee just at the end of the road and get delicious evening meals from any number of eateries just minutes away.
The bathroom is spacious and there's plenty of storage (and hangers) for clothes and bags. My only caution would be if you planned on staying with more than 2 people it may feel a bit like you're on top of each other. Although parents travelling with a child who could use the sofa bed would be fine.
There is a hair dryer and all home comforts available.
The location is convenient for the easy cafe culture nightlife of Trastevere and within walking distances of all major sights (around half hour amble at the most). Trastevere station is about half hour walk, although the number 8 tram is easy. It's a bit more of a trek to the Termini.
The service from Marzia was fantastic, although we did nt meet the lady herself, we had all the details and payment and 'check in' process was very smooth.
I recommend this little gem. Read more

Well appointed petite apartment in excellent location
Ideal place for 2 people to have as a base to stay and site see, in Rome. Marzia was easy to contact and very helpful, replying quickly to queries and she was able to organize a transfer from the airport to the apartment which at 55 Euros was not cheap but took the stress out of arriving in a strange city. The apartment although small with no outlook was well appointed. The kitchen area had all the necessary amenities to be able to self cater with the added luxury of a dishwasher. It was in a lovely part of Rome, small cobbled streets with lots of eating places and bars nearby. You could walk to all the main sites of Rome in 30 minutes from the apartment. The tram stop was 5 minutes away and the station which had a direct line to the airport was just a few tram stops down the road (8 euros for a single ticket to the airport)
Best bit: The location
Worst bit: Having small windows which you couldn't view out of because they were so high up (almost like a basement flat) Read more

A good place to stay
Very nice place. In Trastevere, just a few steps from main tourist routes, but silent. Clean, well equiped and homely. For a short stay - perfect. Yet, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the appartment itself(which is not very likely, seeing the attractions of Rome) the fact that windows are quite high and you can't easily see the world outside can be slightly annoying. Marzia is extremely helpful - trust her when she recommands restaurants in Trastevere. Read more

Insomma, torneremo sicuramente, magari in primavera..
Grazie per aver reso ancora più bella la nostra vacanza! Read more

Read more

Lovely apartment in a lovely neighborhood
We stayed at Marzia's apartment for five nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. Marzia was very nice and helpful throughout the booking process and she arranged rides for us from and to the airport as well, which was very convenient. She also stocked the apartment with continental breakfast, such as yogurt, milk and cereal, etc., which we appreciated. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and definitely it was great value for the price. It was somewhat smaller than we expected, but for 2 adults and 1 kid (7 yo), the space was adequate. I think if you plan to book this place for 4 adults, you might feel too crammed. We absolutely loved the neighborhood (Trastevere) - lots of great, moderately priced restaurants, easy access to Metro, cobble stone alleys with excellent small stores (Pasticceria Valzani, Fior Di Luna, Forno La Renella, Antica Caciara, etc.). Needless to say, we absolutely enjoyed our first trip to Rome (even the weather was perfect - sunny everyday around 68F) and Marzia's apartment made us feel like we had a true home away from home in Rome. The only drawback I can think of is the noise from the street at night (scooters or cars going by), and although it was non-issue for us, if you are very sensitive to noise and sleeps in the sofa bed in the living room, you may have some trouble falling asleep. The area is very safe and gives the feeling of old, picturesque Roman streets. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Rome.
handy to everything
Handy to everything but definietly not Rome Quiet Rome as the name implies. The noisiness of being smack bang one step in from the street made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The thin double bed mattress was pretty uncomfortable which also contributed to sleep deprivation. Everything else about the apartment was fine, the location meant that anything you needed - laundromat, supermarket, restaurants etc easily accessed. Also loved the proximity to the river and incredible views from the hill above Trastavere. Check in and out seamless.
Acollidor i confortable
Just al mig del Trastevere, un apartament acollidor amb tots els serveis. Tot perfecte.
Bon tracte amb Marzia que sempre esta disposada ha ajudar, et facilita llocs i informació per visites i nessecitats.

An excellent apartment in Trastevere
Stayed here for the second time and were just as satisfied with the apartment and the location this time. Marzia, the owner, also helped us with booking dinner at a very good fish restaurant and gave us other valuable advises about were to eat. The apartment is situated in a very nice part of Rome and Trastevere. It is very clean and in the refridgerator you have both juice and youghurt for your breakfast. A lot of restaurants around.

Clean, great location, fantastic vibe
Marzia had prepared the unit so thoughtfully for us. She had bought us food and necessities so that we didnt have to go shopping immediately - she also provided maps with key spots around her house penned in - i find this really helpful when travelling to know whats around me. The unit is small, neat and in the most popular and outgoing Trastevere. I think it would have been perfect for just my husband and I, however we also had his parents sleep there too. We all had space enough - however we found it a little noisy because our bedroom is right next to the front door. I didnt mind using ear plugs however my husband found it too loud. His parents didnt seem to notice. I would definitely recommend this place - clean with perfect location, but if you need absolute quiet for your sleep then reconsider because some nights here were noisy. Marzia was the perfect host - thanks very much.
Country NSW, Australia
very central, comfortable, great area to be in.
Although this is a small apartment , we found it perfect for our needs, great places to eat all around us and a really fun vibe about the whole place.
Well-equipped, comfortable apartment
My son and I really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was cool and quiet (with v. comfortable beds!) but in the middle of Rome's most vibrant area. It's only a few minutes walk to the Palatine etc and we would definitely go back there. Maria is lovely, too - very friendly and speaks excellent English.
San Francisco Bay Area, CA
This apartment in Trastavere was perfect for my husband, myself, and my teenage son. The location was great - 1 block from a busting street full of restaurants. We walked 1 block to get fresh fruit every morning for breakfast, 2 blocks to the aTM, 2 blocks to a full grocery store, and 1 block to our favorite restaurant - Pizzaria Popi-Popi. We walked all over Rome from this apartment - just across the Tiber river from many historic sites. And Trastavere was very lively and fun each evening. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Rome!
We also saved a lot of money on food. We ate cereal or eggs each morning with fresh fruit (dishwasher worked great). While we out and about during the day, every evening we brought home take-out food from a local Italian or Indian restaurant, so we didn't pay large service fees or table fees.
The apartment is very small - perfect for 3 of us. It was fun to be able to refill our water glasses or the dishwasher without having to get up from the table! The street was not noisy by Trastavere or Rome standards, but it was noisier than our american suburban home. After the first night we were so exhausted, we didn't even notice the street traffic which is not constant.
Marzia was so helpful getting us settled after a crazy day of traveling. We felt immediately at home. And communication and reservations before leaving the states was easy.
The only people I wouldn't recommend this place for is people with very small children. The door opens on to the street. Not much traffic, but do have to look before you step out. Read more

Small, Noisy but Quaint
We loved the area the apartment was located but it was quite noisy at night with Vespa's running up and down the alley all night. The apartment was comfortable but very small for family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. When the pull out couch was used as a bed there was no walking room. This was acceptable to us as we spent only sleeping time in the room. You are in walking distance of everything which is a plus. I stayed near the Colosseum once and by the Spanish Steps another time and prefer this area to feel more like a local experience.
Fantastic place to visit Rome
The flat is on the ground floor and very easily reached by public transport. Marzia is very welcoming and left plenty of food for breakfast and useful maps and information. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity but the street is incredibly quiet. We highly recommend it. Read more

Mille Grazie Marzia.

Marzia was very accomodating and informative with regard to helping me navigate through Rome. I had the opportunity to give my 16 year old daughter a true Rome experience. The location was great and within walking distance from major attractions. Additionally, cabs and bussses were nearby.
Roma Sweet Roma
While the apartment was somewhat difficult to find with no house number given, once we arrived we found the place, wonerfully clean and perfect place to stay for the four of us. The place was supplied with everything that we could think of needing for Marzia provided us with detailed maps and directions to help us make the most of our stay in Rome. While the apartment wasn't close to many of the main sightseeing locations, they were easy to get to and it was nice to come back to a quieter area to relax at night.
Perfect location, very kind hostess, bit noisy
We (me, my mother and my sister) stayed for four nights in Marzia's appartment in Trastevere. The appartment is situated right in the heart of the lively neighborhood, which is perfect, but also brings along a slight disadvantage: the area is quite busy, also at night, which means the appartment can be somewhat noisy.
However, if you are a good sleeper, or if you just bring a pair of earplugs, this will be easily compensated by the warm welcome of Marzia, and the many bars and restaurants of Trastevere. And, as Rome has to offer so many beautiful things, you will probably not be in the appartment much anyway...

An excellent replacement to boring hotels
We stayed in this lovely apartment in Trastevere just seconds away from Ste Maria church and walking distance to most of the Rome's sites (if you like walking). Just 30 minutes from Vatican. Nearby supermarket was excellent to buy breakfast food as some deli for late night snacks.
The appartment is two rooms with bathroom and shower. Kitchen has all you need for cooking. Two beds were enough to accommodate our family of four. Children shared one queen sized foldout sofa and we used full size bed in the bedroom
A lovely location
This are of Rome provides the perfect base for any holiday in Rome. The community setting is amazing, with wonderful little shops, bars and restaurants to visit - all cheaper than a short walk away across the bridges in central Rome. The apartment provides everything you need for a short stay.
This was the first time we've stayed in an apartment and it may have spoilt us for our next choice.
Everything was lovely - a warm welcome from Marcia, with helpful maps and guides to make the most of our stay in our comfy apartment in the heart of Trastevere - it felt like a home from home.
As well as the generous breakfast choices we had most staples - oil, vinegar, chilli, pasta, rice, even a panettone because it was Christmas. We ate out, but our favourite meals were put together using the Billa basement supermarket (below a department store, Via Trastevere 62). No need to pack cleaning products or shower gel either.
There were lots of TV channels on both TVs, though not many English ones. The shower was a little fiddly at first.
We had snow, storms and heavy rain during our stay so it was lovely to get warm and dry then head out again for more adventures.
We enjoyed the Porta Portese Sunday market, queued to put our hands in the Bocca della Vereta, ate fabulous St Crispino icecream by the Trevi Fountain (best in the world? Certainly some of the best I've tasted), toured the Vatican Museum in the snow, walked back from Villa Borghese and its gardens via the Spanish Steps through the shoppers and revellers, and much more. We enjoyed observing the office Christmas parties at Luzzi's behind the Colosseum. Wear sensible shoes, as you'll want to walk miles.
There is so much to see and do in Rome that we must go back. I hope there will be a vacancy for us when we do. Grazie mille, Marzia!
Excellent location right in the heart of Trastevere within walking distance to many important sights. Spotlessly clean. Have recommended it to friends coming later in the year.
Great location and little apartment

Enjoyed the experience of staying in the Trastevere area of Rome
We stayed 4 nights. Enjoyed our stay very much. Such an excellent variety of eating places within blocks. And the best prices in Rome! Easy access to tourist info booth, buses and trams. You can walk to most attractions. Accommodations were comfortable. Just right for 2 people.Traffic was loud because you are located very close to the street (ground floor) and it is a narrow cobble stone street. (But this is part of the Trastevere experience.) Although enjoyed having a TV we wished we could have found an English speaking station.
We had absolutely no complaints. Everything was in order. Glad we found this apartment. Had a great time in Rome. Would definitely recommend this to our friends. Read more

Restful, well maintained accommodation in heart of Trastevere
A small but beautifully maintained accommodation in the Centre of the Heart of Rome. Heartily recommended to all!
Just like coming home!
The apartment was lovely, everything we needed (except a washing machine) but the laundromat isn't far away & they offer a really good service at a reasonable price. It was a little noisy when a car or motorbike went past at night, but only because the surroundings are normally quiet & the apartment is quite close to street level, but traffic was very infrequent anyway. Some earplugs we had used earlier in our travels solved any issues we may have had with noise.
Marzia was lovely! When we arrived to check in, it was like we were being greeted by an old friend. The supplies in the fridge & kitchen cupboards were great too - a really nice touch.
Mr Giovanni, who is the doorman for the building, was also very friendly & helpful.
The location was fantastic! We did lots of exploring around the area & felt like we were part of the neighbourhood. Really enjoyed wandering the cobblestone streets to discover the shops, cafes, markets & delis. In our 7 days in Rome we only caught the bus & metro once. The rest of the time we enjoyed seeing & experiencing all the main sites, & some not-so-well-known, on foot from our little apartment. We just wandered, taking it all in, & 4 or 5 hours just passed by without even noticing.
Thank you Marzia for giving us such a warm welcome & enjoyable stay! We will be back for sure & we have already recommended your apartment to four lots of friends who are planning to visit Europe this year or next, & we hope they get to experience some of the joy we had in Rome. It was awesome!!!

The location of this apartment couldn't have been better. We were within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see in Rome. It was fun to buy fruit and vegetables from the stalls in the nearby piazza. We visited St. Maria di Trastevere with its beautiful frescoes and mosaics, ate gelati and marvelled at the architecture. Our one bedroom apartment was very comfortable, situated in a small street opposite a restaurant. The kitchen enabled us to cook up a storm with the local produce. The apartment was very clean, and Marzia made us very welcome. Highly recommended for a quiet stay in Rome. We would return to this wonderful base from which to explore Rome again. The cost was very reasonable.
Very nice little appartment, great location
Trastevere is lovely & quaint & this is a nice little apartment conversion in one of the streets. It is a nice conversion, done in a simple ikea style. the breakfast making provisions are really great, maps, tourist guides etc.
It is a small place so would not think to go if 4 of us, but for taking my father on a birthday treat it was ideal.
The furniture is adequate & in good condition, but not luxurious - bed / sofa bed is firm and no bath for soaking the tired legs after a long day, but for the value it is great.
Marzia is really helpful and remains contactable by phone all the time.
The apartment was great, in a very lively area. There were plenty of places to eat around the apartment. It was near a bus stop with easy access to downtown, and within walking distance. However, it was a little noisy at night as there were people out until 1 or so in the morning.
Manhattan, New York
After three days here I felt like a true Roman!
After our stay we almosted moved here. I did't need to take any public transportation with this awesome one bedroom apartment near everything! Not only is it on an awesome block in a great neighborhood with shopping and bars, it was clean, renovated with aC. The bathroom was so nice. The kitchen is fantastic with a Dishwasher etc. The tall doors open right on to the cobble stone street. Marzia, the owner is stupendous! I could not stop talking about her for the first day and a half. She left a map she marked herself to let you know where the supermarket (bring your bag) and wine store are. She was so helpful. We walked to The Vatican, The Coliseum...everything! One of the best restaurants in Rome is right across the street and the best pizza is around the corner. The other great thing about this neighborhood is that it's young, inexpensive (beer and wine will cost almost nothing) and full of life. I am a New Yorker born and raised and I would say that Trastevere is like the Village in NYC. Fun!!! Read more

More than I expected!
We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our apartment. We would definately stay again!
Very pleasent staying in Quiet Home
The apartment is small but functional. It was very clean. Location is near most of the turist attractions. Mrs Marzia is very friendly.
Nice weekend in charming trastevere
We arrived a very hot Rome, and then it was very nice to receive a warm welcome from friendly Marzia and her son.
Everything in the apartment was according to description and info + service was excellent. Aircondition functioned well and we had a very lovely weekend stay b4 our Mediterranean Cruising. Only negative:The living room with sofa-bed was a bit noisy at night. But; for 2 persons (using the double bedroom) the apartment would be top-rated 5* !

Great Rome experience
Very nice modern apt. well equipped with even breakast supplies in the kitchen. Extremely well located and marvelous area. Cant say anything negative except the guitar duo outside the restaurant in front play till quite late. It is Rome after all! Marzia was very helpful and accomadating.Cant wait to go back! eric, Christiane and Henri Paul
In the heart of Rome
We've had a beautiful stay at Casa Marzia while we were staying for a summer weekend in Rome. Central location right where the action is in Trastevere, small but well equipped, cosy and comfortable appartment within an amazing city palace, perfect for two nights. Everything important in walking distance. Excellent hospitality by Mrs. Lapadusa. We'd might go back one day...
Short family trip to Rome
We arrived on a Wednesday in Rush Hour Traffic in Rome and were guided in by Marzia by mobile when our GPS developed a mind of its own. The apartment and location are first class as are the little touches, fresh milk, orange juice etc. Air conditioned which is a must in Rome during the summer. Marzia was just fantastic and I will use this apartment again
Lovely apartment in a great part of the city!
My husband and I spent four nights in this lovely apartment and were very pleased. From checking in to checking out, Marzia makes everything so smooth. The apartment is very modern and is very clean. Marzia even supplied treats for us for our stay. Only complaint is it can get fairly noisy during the day due to passing traffic. But honestly it is Rome and how often are you in the room! We will def. return. We enjoyed our stay and think the world of Marzia!
Great location, small apt
Grand Rapids Michigan USA
Service is great; apt very small
Marzia couldn't have been a better hostess-warm welcome, apt clean, breakfast goodies provided. Only issue was that we were really cramped with 3 adults. Would have better with just a couple. We had too much luggage/bags & that left us challenged to move around . Very small apt, location worked well for bus & taxi. Thank you for your gracious welcoming, however.
Very pleasant, friendly, central location. Great Marzia !
Thanks to Marzia for her informations, well-thought interiour.
modern decor and practical; friendly reception
Seniora Marzia Lapadula was very helpful and charming. The apartment for
rent is practical and has been recently refurbished with a pleasingly simple and
modern decor. It was generously stocked with coffee, tea, pasta, cereal, jams,
milk and yoghurt. Its location is practical, Trastevere charming. Its only
drawback might be that it is not as quiet as one might expect from the
advertisement. Everything echoes in a narrow street: cars and motor cycles
zipping by, the receptionist from the hotel opposite talking loudly on his cell
phone for hours, and people returning in the middle of the night.
However, I would happily return to the apartment.
Good apartment, perfect location
Very nice to get good information before arrival. Check that the adress is not complete (but it can be found on the internet or by sending an email to the owner).
Apartment is small but clean and modern.
It was a surprise that a breakfast was included.
Location is perfect. Convenient to use the tram.
My wife and I recently spent four nights in Marzia's apartment from March 31st, I would agree with all the positive comments which have gone before, in fact I would be hard pressed to find fault with anything.
Marzia met us on our arrival and explained all that needed to be explianed. Because we were arriving late she had also made a dinner reservation for us at ai Spaghettari (5 minute walk)we enjoyed our meal so much we ate there on two evenings. There are numerous resturants and bars within easy walking distance in this area, one other resturant you should not miss is Ristorante "Alle Fratte di Trastevere" another five minutes from the apartment, Marzia will tell you where it is, make a reservation as there is always a queue.
The apartment is ideal for a short stay, maps and tourist information are provided. An adequate breakfast was provided. The apartment is centrally located to all major sites and shopping. within walking distance to many attractions 20 min walk to Colosuem same for St Peters, Trevi,Sunday open air market.
I would consider it an excellent safe apartment and location for 2 people.
I would recommend this apartment, will will hopefully be back again. Thank you again for everything Marzia.
Great area and place to stay with lovely breakfast included.
This apartment is ideally suited for 2 people. Trastevere area is very vibey with great restaurants which come alive in the evening. There were 4 of us sharing, but it is more suited to 2 people. The breakfast included was a lovely touch. We definitely recommend this apartment for a stay in Rome.
My friends and I recently spent three nights in Marzia's apartment and would highly recommend it for a short stay in Rome. Marzia gave us a lovely friendly welcome, providing us with great maps and tourist information. Also, everything needed for breakfast was provided...croissants, juice, yoghurts, etc! The apartment is within walking distance to many attractions and is very close to lots of retaurants, a taxi rank, bus tour stop, ATM, supermarket and tourist office. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay...thanks Marzia! Read more

Central Apartment, Clean & Well Equipped
An ideal base for 2 people, centrally located to all major sites and shopping. Convenient public transport to Fiumicino Airport.
Numerous restaurants within a few minutes walk of apartment.
Apartment is clean & well equipped with a good supply of provisions on arrival.
Marzia was very welcoming and anxious that we would enjoy our stay.
We highly recommend this apartment. We'll go back again.
Early Spring in Rome
Casa Marzia was in a wonderful location, with many fine and reasonable restaurants around and the Trastevere was a wonderful area in which to stay. It was easy to get to and from the airport via train and tram, and the directions given were easy to follow. Rome is such a walkable city (despite the sometimes less than comfortable cobblestones!) and it was easy to get anywhere from Casa Marzia. Marzia was there when we arrived and was most helpful. The apartment was very reasonably priced with no hidden costs and cheaper than many hotels but with more space. Overall, the apartment was very comfortable. The kitchen was more than adequate and the bathroom very spacious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment.
We arrived to the airport on time, but since we had to wait a little for the bus, we arrived to the appartment later than expected, but Marzia was there waiting for us! She explained everything perfectly and was very very nice. The house was clean and neat, with all the furniture quite new and all the things we needed and more.
The appartment is perfect for staying a few days in Rome since it is close to the city center. It takes less than five minutes to go to the nearest bus station or tram; but anyway we went walking a couple of days and it was a very nice walk and it doesn't take very long. Also, the appartment is located very close to Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the most beautiful churches in Rome; as welll as plenty of restaurants and little shops.
To me, the best was the location and how comfortable and clean the house was. The only thing that was not outstanding is that you can hear most of the noises coming from the street kind of loudly... but since we were out all the time we couldn't complain about that much.
I would definately recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a really nice time in Rome.
Great place in Trastevere!
We loved our stay at Casa Marzia. Perfect location in the heart of Trastevere. Newly refurbished little apartment, so very fresh and clean. We were two persons and that was perfect. For bigger parties the place may be a bit small. Whenever I get back to Rome, I would definately stay here again. Thank you.
I loved the city and for the next time I come back to Roma, I'd rent this same
Well placed, very clean, with everything you need to feel comfortable.

Convenient and comfortable
Casa Marzia was a great apartment for our four day visit to Rome. It's location is very convenient - a 10-20 minute walk to many key sights in Rome. The apartment had all the comforts that we needed for our stay and Marzia (the owner) was a lovely lady to deal with, and to meet. She made sure that we had everything we needed including tourist information and maps. Some fabulous restaurants in this area too.
Our home in Rome was fabulous.
We stayed for three nights in Casa Marzia in Rome in the Trastevere area. Everything was within very easy reach of the apartment, which was beautifully appointed. The kitchen was well-stocked and the standard of finish on everything was exceptionally high. We (a couple in our mid-thirties)were accompanied by our 2-year old daughter who really appreciated the pastries Marzia had left for breakfast as well as the DVD player and comfortable, new cot. The area has plenty of restaurants to suit every budget and were all baby-friendly. Public transport is easily accessed at the end of the road as is the local tourist office all of which Marzia had marked on a map for us. She greeted us herself when we arrived and explained how everything worked. She is very pleasant and welcoming. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
Thanks again Marzia for a wonderful stay, better than any hotel I've ever stayed at. Read more

Thank you so much...
Charming place in the most amazing area in Rome
We had a really nice time in Casa Marzia. The apartment was very comfortable,
and it was fitted with all the necessary to enjoy our stay.
It is located in the centre of the Trastevere, the most charming quarter in
Rome. The only thing is that unless it is a quiet street, in the night it becomes
a bit noisy because of the cars and trucks. But I highly recommend apartment
Marzia for a stay Rome, I´d certainly come back!
Nearly all the best
We had a nice stay at your apartment. The location is well situated in trastevere reachable with bus and tram and nearly the supermarket and most of the restaurants.Nevertheless it isn'n a loud street.
It was a nice welcome with a very big cake and somethingin the fridge for having breakfast.
Unfortunately there is a very dark light in the main room, one of the lights was broken und it was a pity, that the CD-player and the radio didn't work.
Response from Marzia Lapadula RomeQuietHome Casa Marzia - 01/19/2010
Dear Brigitte, thank you very much for the review I'm happy that you've enjoyed your stay at the apartment. I'm sorry that you didn't call me during your stay to tell about the bulb of the light that brokes, so that I could tell you that in the drawer there were new lights, and it is a pity too that someone before you has broken the radio without tell me, and again just call me and I should remeber/tell you that the television is also radio and cd reader! Sorry and thanks a lot again, ciao Marzia
nice studio in Trastevere
We very much enjoyed the studio, the neighbourhood and Rome in general. The apartment is newly renovated with lots of extras and its location is ideal for walking to the major sights.

Marzia is the best
The service was great, beyond expectations. Marzia included a very helpful map of the city with indications for useful spots: internet, supermarket, trasportation, tourist office, laundry, etc. Marzia helped us beyond our expectations specially when the airline lost our luggage on arrival. She not only helped as a phone contact with them (the apartment does not have a phone), but was attentive that there was somebody around to receive it when it finally got there three days after. She was a relief!
The apartment is very small, ideal por two, maximum three people. Cozy, clean, well equipped. Neat lovely linen and kitchenware, all we needed. The food supplies for breakfast were nice and more then enough. Location is great, walking distance from main attractions and near tram and bus stops. Not recommended though for people with walking disabilities (pavement in surroundings is rock made). Nice restaurants nearby. Quiet place. The only disadvantage we could find is it has scarce natural light, windows are high and the apartment has no view, but this is not to be considered a big problem on an overall balance.
Thank you Marzia!! Warm regards.
L'appartamento è molto accogliente e si trova nel cuore della città eterna. Ci è piaciuto molto per la pulizia e la gentilezza della proprietaria e del portiere. Possiamo raccomandarlo a tutti.
Good equipped, clean and very cosy home.
The location of the apartment is very good. This is very interesting part of Rome. The house was good equipped, clean and very cosy.

This was infinitely better than a hotel
Casa Marzia is the best place we have stayed in our three visits to Rome. The pantry and fridge were well-stocked, and the heating worked very well, including a heated floor in the bath. A large supermarket is very near. It is easy to get anywhere in Rome from this location, either on foot or public transportation. The neighborhood has good restaurants and is very safe and well-lit at night. Be sure to visit San Chrisogono and see the crypt and archaeological area below the church. Read more

Or alternatively for the self caters have a nice dinner in the apartment listening to the restaurants entertainment. Very romantic. It also had good connections to get around the city. thank you very much,
ciao from Rome,
Enjoy your real Rome...)
I think one of the best places visited...located in the center of trastevere quartier, near most attractive sights of Rome. Appartment was very clean and there were all you need for life ).
Safe place in general with lot of people or restaurants around. During the evening enjoyed listening the typical popular italian songs played by restaurant at the opposite side of the street).
i think will back there soon...
best i liked: food for breakfast, and beds very comfortable.
least i liked: maybe just there re no windows for outside view(
Great apartment, wonderful quarter

We found everything OK, starting from the hospitality of the managers to the position of Casa Marzia - very close to the Piazza Bocca della Verita and Piazza Argentina, good connections with the center.
We enjoyed the vicinity of good places where you can eat specific foods, including very good and various kind of ice-cream.
Very nice was to listen Italian music, later in the night - it was so nice going to sleep with these sounds in the "air".

Lovely place in Trastavere
This is a very clean and well equipped little unit in a wonderful part of Rome, close to countless restaurants and within walking distance of many sights. Four of us stayed there comfortably and Marzia was very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable too. A definite recommendation!
A very good choice if you go to Rome/Trastevere
We would really like to stay here again! Very nice welcome and very useful suggestions from the owner of which retaurants to chose in the neighbourhood. The apartment was very clean and situated in a calm street in a very nice part of Trastevere. The refridgerator was filled with youghurt, juice, jam and more to have for breakfast. Good location - we could reach everything we wanted to see by foot.
