The property is on the first floor of a 19th century palazzo, with doorman, in a private oasis sheltered from the hustle and bustle where you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere just in the heart of the city. The quiet found inside is unusual for this lively section of Rome.

Fully renewed, it is tastefully furnished with fine modern fittings and the same remarkable equipment. The apartment has a very warm atmosphere. It has an entrance that leads to a bright living-room with sofas, a dining area with open kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom and a wooden's room wardrobe . The sofa is a comfortable sofa-bed (King size, excellent quality), there is also a single bed. The kitchen has all modern fittings and it is fully equipped with all necessary cooking supplies. The bedroom has a King size bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The beautiful bathroom has a big box shower.

Just a few meters from the property you'll find the famous mediaeval basilica church Santa Maria in Cosmedin (or de Schola Graeca). The church was built in the 6th century over the remains of the Templum Herculis Pompeiani in the Forum Boarium and Its bell tower is the tallest medieval belfry in Rome. In the porch of this mediaeval Church, on the south side, there is one of Rome's symbols, the so-called 'Bocca della Verita' Mouth of Truth that draws many visitors: this is a large round stone, with a grotesque face in relief with holes through the eyes and the nose, and a larger opening for the mouth.

While in Rome you may like to re-enact the scene in the film Roman Holiday and put your hand over the Bocca della Verità or Mouth of Truth which hangs in the portico of the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin.If a jealous lover wanted to test their partner’s fidelity, they would put their hand in the mouth of the stone river god - it was thought that a liar would have his hand bitten off but the faithful lover would go untouched.

And this 'test' is still a must for all tourists and the queue of visitors for to have their photo taken with their hand in the mouth of the statue.

It’s a fun thing to do though and everyone seemed to emerge with their arm intact - why not give it a try?

  This apartment was perfect for the five days my husband I and spent in Rome. A bus stop is a very short walk from the apartment and from there, especially if you prefer to not walk as much, you can get anywhere in the city with easy. The subway line is also a short walk or you can let the bus take you right to the metro station. The neighborhood is precious! There are many locally owned Trattorias nearby (easy walk) and, if you eat there twice, they will think of you as family! The owners are very accomodating and lovely people. The bed is very, very comfortable and the linens are exquisite! The only complaint we could possible have was a little loud music from one of the other apartment dwellers but it really wasn't much of a problem. You will really get a chance to see what it is like to live in a Roman neighborhood verses in the areas most frequented by tourists.

  Be aware that is apartment is nearer Trastevere than shown on the Flipkey map. It is an excellent location, with frequent buses to all the sites (2 or 3 stops). There are restaurants and small supermarkets close by. The accomodation is as described and is on the ground floor (a few steps) off a lovely courtyard with trees and flowers. The owners arranged for us to be met at the airport and taken to the apartment , on departure they took us to the station.

  My husband and I and our 13 year old daughter stayed here for 7 days in september 2010. We found the flat really delightful, beautifully appointed and equipped, quiet and close to everything. It was very clean and well maintained, the beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. It was also great to have Wi-fi internet and a washing machine! We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.

  We spent a month in Italy this year and the highlight was the time we spent in this beautiful apartment in Rome.
  The location is great! We really enjoyed the neighborhood and couldn't wait to return after a day of touring the other historic sites. You will find easy access to local open air markets, cafes, bakeries, grocery stores and restaurants, plus you can walk to anywhere in Rome. We were enchanted with the apartment decor. The accommodations are wonderful and the rooms are clean and welcoming. The bed was incredibly comfortable (loved the linen sheets) and there was not a sound through the night! There was no noise from the street. The wifi worked great on our Mac. The apartment had a lot of touches that made it feel like we were staying in a friend's home. We feel lucky to have found this place and hope to visit again some day. Thank you for helping us create a wonderful family memory.

  Apartment is fully equipped with all necessary things.Very nice bathroom, kitchen, big bedroom...
  Absolutly sufficient for 5 persons. It is really full renovated - beautiful.
  It is located in the quiet old courtyard, therefore you dont hear any noise from the street.
  The part of Roma, in which is apartment located, is very nice, it is in historical centre of Roma.
  I would like also to thanks for all services, which were offered ( transport from and to the airport, cleaning, towels...and I cant forget for coffe, tea, jam and everything, what was prepared for us). For us it was the perfect holiday without any problem. I recommend it to everybody

  5 minute walk....?amazing!

  Two of my friends and I stayed at this beautiful, safe, clean and well located condo in Oct 2009.
  It is extremely well located in a beautiful residential area and is gated. Excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood. Only a few blocks from the subway station....
