LiverpoolWhat a great location and apartment
Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We had an amazing stay in Rome. The place is stunning and the weather was amazing, was so nice to come back to the apartment to relax after walking around the city all day. The apartment was the perfect location to be able to nip back in the day or before dinner as it was so central. The air conditioning was also a godsend! What a lovely atmosphere and great facilities. Would recommend Retrome to anyone.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for your great review. It was a real pleasure to host you, and we hope to meet you again in Rome. There are all the time new restaurants that we discover, and want to share with our guests, and we hope to do it with you soon enough.
Best regards,

Location is the key word for this little apartment! The welcome was nice and the staff gave us good information. This little apartment also has a kitchenette and a little courtyard. But I have to say I find the price a little steep for the 'age' of the place. Everything in and around it could do with a some renovations! The feather duvet did not have a cover on it which I found strange but there was a sheet. It would also be nice if there was a sign outside because the house number is really hard to find!
But over all definitely a good place to stay! -

Perfect stylish location and room(s) to stay when you visit Rome for a few day's!
Look at the recommendations for restaurants! They're close by, cheap and you get the best food & wine! This is where the locals eat themselves...! -

Tarrytown, NYComfortable and a great location!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Colosseum Garden Studio. The apartment was a great space for two people - we were very comfortable and found the apartment well stocked and very clean. We only stayed two nights and didn't take advantage of the kitchen space but would most definitely do so if we stayed here the next time we visit Rome. We especially loved the location and neighborhood of the apartment. We felt like we lived right in Rome without being surrounded by lots of tourists. We found the service of the company to be top notch, as well. The only problem was that we weren't able to make the internet work during our stay but that wasn't a big deal.

Very close to the Colosseum. Less than 5mins walk to Colosseum, supermarket and eating places. Nice and quite, comfy bed. Very average accommodation; nothing felt clean (except the bathroom). Kitchen lacked basic plates, coffee cups, can opener. A new kettle is desperately needed! Upside was the friendly, efficient, professional, accessible property manager supplying lots of local info on cheap eating places and sites to see - excellent! Great security.
Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the apartment is old and tired and doesn't "feel" clean, even if it is.
I would definitely use RetRome again as they are excellent to deal with for booking, payment, and returning emails promptly with information requested - faultless to deal with.
If we stayed in Rome again we would stay at RetRomes other accommodation at the other end of town closer to the trevi fountain.

New York CityMaratona Di Roma
Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This was my first time traveling to Rome for the Maratona Di Roma. When searching for a place to stay, my first priority was convenience. When a friend recommended RetRome as an alternative to a hotel, I had no idea what a gem I had found. The view of the Colosseum was priceless and the neighborhood was picturesque, safe and quite charming. When turning the key into the studio apartment itself - I felt at home. It seemed to have been tailored just for me. Quaint yet sophisticated. Simple yet chic. It contained all of the amenities that I needed. Each morning I ran throughout the streets of Rome and was able to enjoy coffee and croissant when I returned, in the comfort of my own apartment. It really did feel like I lived there. I even borrowed the neighbors for a week. They were very kind to answer any questions I had about the neighborhood or apt. Overall, I had a wonderful time and will be returning to the Garden Studio for next year's race!
Sincerely,
Wenona

ISRAELWonderful apartment and location
Left on 02/22/2011 for a stay in January 2011
This perfectly located and cool decorated apartment contributed hugely to making our stay in Rome so amazing. It's right in the middle of all the historic sights, 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and yet it's so very quiet and comfortable inside. We could walk to everything we wanted to see. Being able to use the Internet (there is a PC in the apartment) for brief Skype conversations home was a treat. We got all the necessary equipment to fix our breakfast in the kitchen, and could enjoy the small private garden that is part of the apartment. We would recommend this apartment to anyone and would love to stay there again.

Left on 02/12/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The apartment was lovely and spacious and brilliantly situated only a couple of hundred yards from the Colosseum. Nice bars and restaurants nearby and a really friendly area to walk around at night. All the sites and shopping are easily reached by foot. To top it all, Moti and his cleaning worker were all extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!

We will definitely be using RetRome in the future. This is a great apartment for two people. Nice shower, good kitchen (no microwave which fits the retro style). Wonderful location - a few blocks from the Colisseum and Metro. A great budget grocery nearby (and a regular one), as well as several restaurants. We didn't want to leave! The only downside was that the computer was broken while we were there, which was a shame. We were able to use RetRome's wifi, however, on our iphones.

reserved a pick up upon our arrival as well as a pick up for our departure. glad they had that available as an option. met with rodolfo at the colosseum garden apartment. bring Dvds to watch if you want to use the TV, but you probably shouldn't worry about staying in since you're in Rome! :) in such a convenient area, with the colosseum around the corner. it's a great place to start your journey throughout Rome. you know you'll want gelato throughout your trip and you're in luck with Mattias' Gelato right at the corner of where this apartment is. Visit the Colosseum Cafe/Bar while you're at it too, Emma is the nicest barista we met while we were there. if you're hungry, try Trattoria #4, it's family owned and a nice place for some food! this was our first time in Rome. We did like how we roamed Rome on our own, but looking back we probably should have started at a regular hotel just to have a concierge available at all times to give us tips on where to go. We made it work with the maps and books we had though. No complaints. The bed at this apartment wasn't the friendliest to our backs, but at the end of the day you do just want to knock out. i'd suggest this for those who want to have a cozy, quiet, and friendly space to yourselves and just wing it. if it's your first time in Rome, you may want to consider a hotel for the 24/7 help (if you think you'll need it). Rodolfo and the RetRome staff were very nice and easy to work with. Friendly staff.

Our family of 4, stayed for 3 nights in the RetRome Navona. The location is unbelievable, just 100-150 meters from Piazza Navona, and from there, with an easy walk to the Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Stairs. The apartment is located on the ground floor of a 18th century building, but it is relatively quiet, as it does not face the main street. In total, there are 2 bedrooms, nicely decorated, a living room and a well equipped kitchen (too bad we did not use it much, besides fixing our breakfasts). Thanks to the location of the apartment, we have not used the public transportation at all, and even a walk to the Colosseum are was just 20 minutes of a beautiful walk. This was a great alternative to any hotel (especially, for 4, it might cost you double the price in the hotel), and we can really recommend it. Stefano was a very good host, and everything that was promised was delivered with a smile. Grazia Mille!!

We arrived to a very wet Rome of November, and then it was very nice to receive a warm welcome from the friendly Imran, which was our host at this RetRome apartment. Everything in the apartment was according to description and info + service was excellent. We had a very lovely stay. The apartment is greatly located, just 250 mters from the Colosseum. We loved the local neighborhood that offered a nice variety of local restaurants, cafes, and a real Roman life feeling. The apartment is ideal for 2-3 persons, but can accommodate also 4 people. In short, we highly recommend it as an alternative to a hotel accommodation.

We stayed in the RetRome Colesseum Garden for 3 nights and had an unforgettable experience with the place.
The accomdation had all we need; large space, full equipped kitchen, clean and cozy bedroom, and a even a small private garden which is so unusual in Rome.
The place is very conveniently located, 300 meters from the Colesseum and has a very safe enviornment with a well-known gelato shop nearby.
The owner also provided an information packet regarding all that we had to know about Rome including shopping, tourist attractions and etc.
I'll definitely stay here again when I go to Rome again. -

My wife and I spent five pleasant days in this
comfortable apartment RetRome Colesseum Garden on May 2010. It is very well suited for two persons, but can accomodate four if needed. It has all modern amenities
including a well equipped kitchen and a large fridge,
The apartment has a nice small garden, which is something unique in Rome. The apartment is located in a nice quiet street, just 300 meters from the Coleseum, and from there, to all the other great sites of Rome.
The apartment is very well located as it also an easy 5 minutes walking distance from the metro station.
In the area of the apartment there are grocery stores and other shops and cafes and many restaurants.
We can warmly recommend this apartment for a
comfortable stay in Rome.
