Auckland, New ZealandGreat location
Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Most reviews start with the good news, then go to the bad news, I'll do it the other way
The bad news, it is pretty dark, you will need the lights on all the time so if you want to see the outside world, this is not for you
That's it
The good news, the location is superb, the owner arranged pickup from the airport and although we had an agreed fee, the taxi driver took us on a tour around with a commentry. Check in was easy, although we didn't meet Fabio, Jason was there to run us through everything we needed to know. The apartment has everything you need and is quite spacious. The beds are comfortable and the wifi great. We ate out most of the time but the kitchen facilities were good. About the only thing missing would be a washing machine, but nothings perfect I guess -

We were amazed by the location and the beautiful apartment. It was everything Fabio said it was and more. He not only met us at the apartment but he rode with us to the car rental drop off and walked back with us close to the apartment! The street this apartment is on was quiet and there is a wonderful place a couple doors down to buy breakfast pastries. The bus stop is very close and the castle is just across the river. The only down side is the basement bedroom is damp but what can you expect when staying in an old Roman building! The upstairs is spacious and beautiful!

This is a very nice apartment we stayed in during a three days vacation in Rome.
The place is clean, elegant and very well equipped. The owner, Fabio, is a very nice and helpful person, he provided important tips about the city and the neighbours.
This place is very convenient for its location, it is close to the Vatican, just few steps from all nightlife, Campo dei Fiori, Spanish Steps...
I recommend to everybody. -

Vicino a tutto!! La vita notturna di Roma è a due passi siamo stati a Campo di Fiori tutte le sere abbiamo preso l'aperitivo in tutti i piccoli localini vicino l'appartamento. Raccomando questo posto a tutti soprattutto ai giovani.

The location was perfect!!! The free Wi-Fi was great and we felt right at home. They even had 2 umbrella's to use while there. Fabio and Laura were very helpful and they recommended a fabulous hotel for our last night on our return to Rome.
The down side was the musty smell in the basement bedroom. -

Miami,FLamazed by our experience ...
Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Where do I start??? The apartment owner Fabio was wonderful to work with. He was able to meet with us even before the designated check in time. He took his time showing us the apartment and even showing us some of the surrounding area (restaurants/shops). The apartment was well above my expectations. The pictures provided do not properly display the true charm of the apartment. The location of the apartment was incredible. We walked everywhere! All major historic center locations were within walking locations. The only location that I would consider taking public transportation to is the Colosseum.
Back to the apartment... there were 2 of us and we had more than enough room. I would say the apartment has enough room to comfortably house 4 people. Large living room area with 2 couches, one a sofa bed, tv, dining table, a small but COMPLETE kitchen. Fabio provides plates, cups, pots, pans, silverware, fridge.... it really is a complete kitchen. Downstairs is the bedroom with a king size bed and air-conditioning. There was one complaint: the humidity in the apartment!!!! It was raining the days we stayed in the apartment so I’m sure that something to do with it. Again the humidity in the apartment was somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that the entire experience was amazing! The price, location, quality and amenities of the apartment all surpassed my expectations!

Left on 05/17/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We are back from a wonderful vacation in Rome and can't wait to write a review on what we call "our home in Rome"
In fact this is what we were looking for...feeling like home and this is exactly what we get
Tired of Hotels all similar we looked for a different solution and we rented this wonderful apartment in the heart of the historic centre. We looked for something in the Vatican Area and we found this apartment very well located. It allows you to reach every site by foot, expecially Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori wich is were we spent all nights, full of small restourants and nightclubs. During the day we visited the Vatican which is right in front of the apartment, you just cross one bridge. And then all Rome, I mean Colosseum, Piazza di Spana, Panteon... Rome is a wonderful city and this apartment is a jewel inside it. Why waste your money for a standard double room in an standard hotel when you can have a flat 33' Tv, wifi internet connection 24h for free, (when all hotels we stayed in, in Europe let us pay for it) and a wooden ceiling in the livingroom that we have never had in other places.
We easily in english with Fabio, the owner,he is very helpful and make everything easy for us. We do recomend this apartment. -

ConnecticutGreat for family
Left on 04/25/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We are a family of 4 and we thought the appartment was really great. Without artifical light, the bedroom in the basement is completely dark, so it really helped us work with the jet lag. Rome is hopping until late at night, so we slept in every morning and stayed up late. The appartment is very clean, charming and well appointed. The location is fantastic! We could walk everywhere through the old city which has traffic restrictions. We walked to the Pantheon, the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, The Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and The Piazza Novona. Only the Colosseum was a bit far and we took a cab for the return trip. Tell cabs to drop you off at the Piazza Coronari, which they can get to with a taxi and it is only steps from the appartment. There is a little grocery store right across the street and a gelatissimo in the Piazza as well as many lovely little stores all around. There must have been a dozen places to eat within 100 yards of the appartment, and yet it is a quiete, residential area, where italians make their homes. We also took advantage of the appartment's proximity to the Vatican. We hired an excellent private tour guide from Rome Illuminating to show us around the vatican one day and then on the last day of our stay, we walked across the river to see the Pope speak in Saint Peter's Square. After that we stopped by the appartment on our way to get Gelato and met Roger Federer at Champanini. The appartment is also very good for allergy sufferers. All floors are tile. Beds are firm, but comfortable. Everything in the appartment was like new, except the ceiling which is ancient! We felt safe all the time. My children had a bit of trouble adjusting to sleeping upstairs in the living room. The streets in the old city are very narrow and the door from the appartment opens onto a tiny side street. Although the traffic is very infrequent, when anyone goes by it feels like they are too close when you are not used to it.

Awesome location between the Vatican & Piazza Navona. The apartment was clean and nice inside too! We are grateful that the apartment managers warned several times that a cab ride from the airport should cost 40 Euro, bags included. The pushy cab driver wanted to charge us 60 euro plus 2 euro per bag!

Left on 04/10/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Fabio and Laura communicated with us very well via e-mail and we
appreciated that. They were also very courteous, and helped us book a car
ride to the airport. This is our first trip to Rome: a couple with 2 teenagers,
and we all loved it. The place was better than the pictures on-line, mainly
because the apartment was roomy (by European standards) with high
ceilings, and very clean. Like Rome, it respected the old (exposed antique
wooden beams) but with a new bathroom and a small but complete kitchen.
There is a large private bedroom in the basement which is stylishly
contemporary with adequate air conditioning and heat, but it can be a little
damp.
A few steps away there is a Tabacchi shop (for simple breakfast of
cappuccino, pastries and good paninis, drinks). a bar around the corner, a
Sushi place, a deli and a Pizza restaurant. (The bar did get a little loud at
night, but we stay up late anyway.)
The San Pietro (St. Peter's Basilica) Metro station is a good 15-minute walk,
20 minutes to the Vatican Museum entrance on the other side of the
Vatican wall. Castel Sant Angelo is a closer landmark - about 7 minutes
away. Piazza Navona is a nice 5-minute walk through hip boutiques selling
home furnishings, antiques, and fashion, and of course, gelato: all of which
we enjoyed very much.
We liked that it was in the heart of Rome and it was not by any large hotels
that are obvious tourist traps. The only difficulty we had was locating the
apartment. Perhaps they can describe better the landmarks or the stores
we described above, because even when we asked around, no one seemed
to know the place. It was a challenge finding it, with our luggage through
tiny cobblestone alleys. All part of the Roman experience, which we will
remember fondly forever.
Thank you, Fabio and Laura -

Very good and comfortable apartment.Everything is qualitative and clean.

A very nice accommodation in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much and were able to be within walking distance to everything in Rome we wanted to see. So very convenient to be able to take an after dinner stroll to Trevi Fountain or Piazza Navona. Great take away café food nearby as well as good restaurants and food stores and bakeries. Interior was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this place and would return here next time I am in Rome.

Whoever wants to live an unforgettable time in Rome should book this appartment.
Venue is just unbeatble. Straight in the heart of the center but still out of the noisy crowds. So you will just feel like someone living in Rome since ever (that's real inhabitants' choice).
The apartment is incredibly clean and comfortable not to mention the kindness of the owners (rare in town) ready to provide you with all necessary support.
In short, just don't miss it!
