Additional Location Information
The apartment is located in a corner of Trastevere area a very quiet and safe at night.
Trastevere has an ancient history that extends all the way back to ancient Rome. The area is so gorgeous that many famous and prominent people have built homes there, including Julius Caesar's garden villa Horti Caesaris. Much of its construction occurred in the Middle Ages, including the expansion of its narrow streets to make room for carriages. The area still has the feel of a medieval town, which is what gives it character and appeal to visitors.
Walking through the alleys of Trastevere, one is struck by the magic that runs through the streets and fully understand the meaning of "Eternal City". Rome grows, expands, but continues to maintain a heart and pride inherited from 'ancient Rome.
All places of tourist interest are within a short walk, Colosseo,St.Peter Vatican, Piazza Venezia, Campidoglio, Foro Romano, Piazza del Popolo ,Circo Massimo,Fori Imperiali, Campo de’ Fiori, , the Pantheon, , Piazza Navona etc.etc,
The position is strategic to reach any attraction in a very small time and very well connected by public transport.., Completely renovated and' decorated to offer the best hospitality in an elegant and eye for detail. Its strategic location makes it ideal for a comfortable and enjoyable holidays.
The neighborhood is vibrant and packed with cafes, restaurants, gelaterias, and local shops. At 200 meters there is the famous market of Porta Portese, open only on Sundays, attracts tourists for its many antique stalls. .... At 200 meters from the station of Trastevere and you can reach the airport of Fiumicino in just 20 minutes by city train(FR1) .
Entertainment in Trastevere:
A favorite place among many is Big Mama, where you can enjoy concerts playing jazz, rock and blues. Big Mama is a place where aspiring young singers hit the stage in the hopes of becoming famous. This is also a great area to go out for dinner. Not only are there plenty of authentic Italian restaurants with high-quality pizza and pasta dishes, but many of the restaurants open earlier than in other parts of Rome to cater to tourists. In other parts of Rome, it is rare to find Romans who eat before 8 p.m.
Trastevere Restaurants:
The Trastevere is known for delicious food and some of the best restaurants in Rome. The La Fraschetta is considered to have the best gnocchi in town and offers customers four different sauces to go with the gnocchi. Another restaurant, Ristorante Asinocotto, has dishes made with fresh produce, sourced at the owner's own farm.

My mum and I stayed at Gianmarco's apartment for 3 nights and had a fantastic time! The location was perfect - we walked everywhere! Trastevere is a lovely part of Rome - perfect for anyone who wants to be close to everything but not constantly surrounded by hundreds of tourists! The apartment was great , clean, very modern. We had everything we needed there. Gianmarco was also very helpful with recommendations. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone going to Rome, I would definitely stay there again!

We had a perfect time at Gianmarco's place. Gianmarco was very kind to meet us before check in and explain us everything we need to know. The apartment is lovely and equipped with everything we need, is on a quiet side street but close to everything you need to enjoy your evenings. We walked to the Vatican, Colliseum, Pantheon and other sites from the apartment but it is near a bus route. For sure we are going to stay at Gianmarco's place next time when will be in Rome ;)

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 3 night stay in Rome and we cannot recommend Gianmarco's "Trastevere acient Rome" enough! It is exactly as it appears in the pictures if not better. Having been picked up at the airport by a driver which Gianmarco arranged beforehand, we were welcomed to the apartment by Gianmarco who was super friendly and showed us around and explained how everything works. The apartment is beautiful with every need you might have having been considered down to the smallest things including an iron, drying rack and mosquito repellent plugs! gianmarco even filled the fridge with a selection of breakfast treats including muffins, jams, fruit juices, water and generously left a bottle of Prosecco. What jumped out at us when arriving is how totally spotless the place is - the towels and bed sheets smelt heavenly. This was our first trip to Rome but area-wise we feel that we could not have picked a better location. The number 8 tram is a 5 minute walk away and can get you closer to most of the main tourist sites if you don't fancy walking (everything is pretty much within walking distance though so we hardly used it). Then of course you have the little cobbled winding streets of Trastevere on your doorstep filled with lovely restaurants and bars and a general bohemian vibe. You're also a 5 minute walk from the river which in the evening turns into an open air strip of bars, restaurants and arts/crafts stalls - lovely! We were thankful to not be staying in the thick of tourist traps such as Trevi, Piazza Navona or Pantheon for example. As lovely as it was to explore areas such as these, wandering back to the apartment and stopping for a gelato or drink in the more laid back Trastevere neighbourhood was an utter delight. Thanks to Gianmarco for making our trip such a delight - we will most definitely be returning to Rome and hope to stay at the Trastevere's acient Rome again when we do. -

The Trastevere acient Rome was everything it said on the website and more. much, much more. Gianmarco is a great host, with such an attention to detail that the appartment had literally everything (even the anti-mosquito devices - we didn't use them though). The fridge was stuffed with breakfast goodies. And everything was spotless. Gianmarco met me at the appartment and showed me around. She was very friendly and helped to arrange a taxi for my parents, who arrived the next day from NYC. The neighborhood is great - has a nice local feel (and the best restaurants in town), it was walking distance to both the Vatican and the forum . It's positioned such that you can reach many major sights by foot. Of course, there's also a bus, but we didn't use it. The area itself is not overrun with tourists, so it was quiet at night and we got very good sleep everynight. There's a supermarket around the corner and about a dozen of restaurants down the street (or more, didn't get to explore this time around). I will definitely go back and stay there again! Highly recommended.

Gianmarco was a great host! He quickly responded to any question I had... he understood and was incredibly helpful when we found ourselves lost in Rome (He was hanging out his window guiding us down the street) Gianmarco was incredibly helpful in giving us useful information on the area he lives in. He gave us great tips on restaurants, wine bars, transportation, breakfast spots etc. etc. The apartment was spotless, true to the pictures and in the most amazing area! We felt like we could just move in and stay! This area is jam packed with great bars, restaurants, shops and tiny streets filled with people of all ages having a great time! Sadly, we were only there for 3 nights... I will certainly re-book with Mario when we return to Rome!

I would like to confirm with pleasure that the apartment has fully met our expectations. It is exactly what a family with a child would need for its stay in Rome. It is an excellent location - very pleasant, historic area, however not crowded with tourists, we would definitely recommend the district in comparison with what we have seen in other parts of the historical center. The owner, is very kind, helpful .

We found the apartment to be exactly as described on the Homelidays website. It was spotlessly clean and tidy. Its accommodations met our needs exactly and its location was perfect for touring Rome. "Thank you" to them for this."

The accomodation was exactly as described. The owner organised transport as we arrived at about midnight. We were also shown around the flat at that time on a Sunday night, thank you. There was plenty of coffee etc. for breakfast for the whole stay. Transport into the centre was a few minutes walk and the trams appeared quite regularly. There is a fresh fruit and vegetable market outside every day, so you didn't have far to go for milk etc. in the morning. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the accomodation to anyone

We have been very happy with the standard of accommodation provided. . In few minutes of walk you arrive to the old Trastevere and to the famous places of the historical centre. The location is very convenient to buses and trams. Even if the flat is close to to shopping area that provides you with supermarkets, shops, daily fruit and veg market, typical Roman restaurants, the area is very quiet and safe at night. "
