ZürichFantastic location, everything you need, wonderful hosts
Left on 03/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Our family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed here for several days in mid-February 2013. We initially chose the apartment for its great location, which is in a quiet street off the Campo de Fiori and therefore central to Vatican/Trastevere as well as Via Condotti/ Spanish Steps/ Foro Romano. You can walk anywhere you'd want to, really, from this apartment. Once we arrived, we were impressed by the wonderful hospitality of Uncle Franco, who came to meet us near our car with umbrellas in the middle of a brutal, summer-style thunderstorm-- and then helped us negotiate with the owner of a nearby garage. The apartment itself is darling and has everything you'll need. There's a grocery store just around the corner and a few good restaurants nearby for nights when you are tired of walking-- we'd also recommend the Syrian hookah bar and glass shop that is next door. There is public and garage parking available nearby, which is a huge bonus in the City Center. They have beautiful things. In short, stay here!

Left on 02/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Good communication prior to arrival. Warm welcome on arrival even though plane delayed 2 hours and we arrived at midnight. Takeaway pizza around the corner as we were starving on arrival!
Snowed for the first time for years in Rome. It was freezing, the flat was beautifully warm. Not enough duvets due to mix up which Sonia brought straight over for us.
The location is superb, very quiet. Everything as advertised by owner.
Our experience was that the best is just to catch a taxi for 30 Euros door to door, but use a white taxi outside airport or find one in a rank in city centre. Unless you book in advance the coach transfer to the Rail terminal is 6 Euros unless booked in advance at 4 Euros. Don;t know what others did as buses stop at 11.30 pm and we arrived late from East Midlands so no buses.
Don't fit in too much, there is enough to see just locally without rushing around everywhere. Book the Vatican Museums online to avoid (without feeling too smug!!) the enormous queues even at 10am in February. It is so satisfying walking to the front of the queue and walking straight in. Unbelievable.
Enjoy it. -

This was a great place to stay to explore Rome on foot. We were met at the apartment by 'uncle franco' as promised, who was very friendly and welcoming. He showed us around the apartment and local area and gave advice on places to visit/local restaurants etc. The apartment was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The best thing about it was it's location - just off the Campo di Fiori and within easy walking distance of all the main sites. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay for a short city break and would try to stay here again if we visit Rome in the future

A trouble free rental experience. Sonia gave great advice and help oline, especially regarding having a taxi pick us up at the airport. Franco met us at the apartment as promised, showed us the apartment features and where to find a supermarket, banks, taxis, bus stop etc. The apartment was quite suitable for 3 adults, was within walking distance from many must-see Rome attractions and a short bus ride to others. The apartment was cosy, with central heating and a reverse cycle air conditioner, the bathroom was large and there was lots of hot water. Small but serviceable kitchen for making breakfasts or light meals. Close to lots of cafes and restaurants and to Campo di Fiore and lots of equisite shops and only a short walk to Trastevere. Had a great time - sad to leave. Thankyou Franco and Sonia.

We were welcomed to the apartment by Franco who showed us both the apartment and the neighborhood. He was extremely helpful and a great welcome to Italy. We shopped at the nearby grocery store everyday. Franco's advice to get a taxi for our trip to the train station was invaluable. The apartment was within easy walking distance of a number of major sites and Franco gave us advice on how to use the transportation system to get to the rest. The bedrooms are not completely divided so the apartment is best for families or two friends, but maybe not for two couples, as the privacy is limited. The apartment is in an historic area, which attacted me in the first place, but the cobblestone streets were tricky for my father who is disabled. Campo de Fiori is very attractive and is a popular place for Romans as well as tourists. I would recommend this apartment to friends and would stay there again in traveling with my husband alone.

This was a wonderful experience staying at this apartment. The communication with the landlady was excellent, timely, helpful and kind. The apartment itself was in a great location, quiet, air conditioned, clean. good kitchen, sleeping comfortably 4 adults. We went to the fresh market everyday and we were in waling distance of the two beautiful piazzas: Navona and Fiori. Bus transportation within a 10 min. walk, and walking distance to all the great sites: Vatican, Forum, etc.

Merci. Nous le recommandons ! -

Upon arrival uncle Franco was there to greet us. We didn't know too much about the neighborhood and Franco took the time to show us around, and make us feel comfortable.
The apartment is adorable! I was traveling with my sister and it was exactly what we needed. There are lots of cute shops on the street, and an amazing restaurant called Bric enoteca a couple of doors down. The apt is very central to all of the sights in Rome.
Overall we had a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back!!!
