Domus Colosseo is a big and luxury penthouse (130 m2 plus 130 m2 of terraces) arranged on three floors with a breathtaking 360° view from its roof garden over ancient Rome. It is ideal for families and large groups looking for a very central apartment.

At only two-minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, it is perfect for visiting ancient Rome while comfortably settled in a newly renovated apartment equipped with full comforts (Jacuzzi hot tub, Internet wi-fi, air conditioning, satellite Sky TV, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, elevator, iron, city guides etc.).

The apartment is ideal for a large group or a family, as the space of the entire property (260 m2) allows full ease of living for 8 adults plus 2 children under 10

In the apartment there are:

- 1 spacious living room with three sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed), satellite Sky TV, dvd-divx-cd-mpeg-mp3 player, hi fi and home theatre;

- 1 dining room for 10-12 people;

- 1 independent Kitchen with fridge, freezer, stove/oven, microwave oven/grill, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine;

- 4 bedrooms (of which: 1 double room with an additional bed and a cot; 3 rooms with 2 single beds);

- 3 terraces (130 m2), furnished with table, chairs, deckchairs, sun beds and Mediterranean plants;

- 2 bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi hot tub and the other one with shower) both with bidet and hairdryer;

- 1 outdoor shower.

---Location---

The apartment is located on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors of an eight-floor building, and includes an elevator. Situated in the Celio district of Rome (one of the famous Seven Hills), the area is quiet and full of green spaces; however, it also offers lively restaurants, pubs, and supermarkets. The building is encircled by three public parks and a garden, which includes a children's playground.

---How to reach the apartment---

Located in the heart of ancient Rome, the apartment is perfect for those who want to walk in the centre or reach any other destination by public transports. The access is extremely easy both via public transportation and private car. Fly to Rome: convenient though luxurious airport transfers both from Ciampino and Fiumicino are available. It is more comfortable (the driver finds you, he knows where you have to go and you do not have to queue in order to find a taxi) and sometimes even cheaper than taxis.

-Drive to Rome: a large paying garage is only 50 meters away.

-Come to Rome by Train: Termini (central railway station) is just two subway stops away.

-Underground stops (Colosseo line B and Vittorio Emanuele line A) and bus stops are only 2-10 minutes walk.Read more

  Our family (4 adults and 5 children) stayed for a week at this wonderful apartment for our summer vacation. The location is superb! It has breathtaking views from the roof top terrace and is easy walking distance to all the major sites. The playground just in front of the building entertained our children in the early evenings. The grocery store and neighborhood restaurants are conveniently located. Plus the Best Gelato in town is just around the corner.
  
  The owners were very helpful and responsive. They provided maps, helped arrange transportation to and from the airport, and gave great advice.
  
  The apartment itself is simple and bright. It is a bit old (this is not a five star brand new hotel), but it was clean and met all our needs.
  
  One of our favorite things to do was eat a late night snack of cheese, bread, and fruit on the roof top terrace to watch the sunset over the Colosseum. Breathtaking! On our last night there, my son (age 8), cried as I tucked him into bed. "I don't want to leave Italy!" he said. Yes, it was that wonderful.

  The Rome you have always dreamed of...

  This large, bright apartment is located just 2 blocks from the Coliseum. It is relatively simply but practically furnished, with kitchen and laundry. The real highlight are the balcony and terrace. You can spend an afternoon just sipping a drink on the roof of the building looking over to see the Coliseum or Vatican. There is a supermarket steps away from the entrance to the building, and the main tourist attractions of ancient Rome are easily within walking distance.
  This is a very large apartment, we were there with a total of 8 people and always felt that we had lots of room, and the terrace and balcony make it that much bigger.
  Highly recommended.

  I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Rome. It is great for families and has a very comfortable feeling. The neighborhood is fantastic and the owners are very friendly. The view from the rooftop terrance is spectacular!!

  Feel at home on Rome

  Superb apartment in every aspect. Wonderful views,
  great neighborhood, very clean & good - we really
  felt "at home" in a welcoming way. All amenities
  you could wish, also the internet is very helpful
  in planning trips & days. We could feel the loving
  care of the owners in every detail of the house.
  The apartment is spacious and very good for a
  group of people. With 3 terraces you can enjoy the
  views and weather outside. But we, a group of 7
  (parents, grandparents and 3 teenagers) had rainy
  winterweather, and even then the house was
  wonderful: quiet, private, with room enough to
  make everyone feel comfortable without
  embarrassing each other too much. Wonderful
  neighbourhood, we really loved it: the Collosseum
  and busstops around the corner, yet quite
  'withdrawn' from the tourists. It has good places
  to eat and very nice and friendly people;
  supermarket 50 meters, bars and gelateria around
  the corner. Park and kids playground in front of
  the apartment. We sure are longing to go back!

  Our family of four (two adults and two children ages 8 and 12) plus two grandparents stayed here for six days and were very pleased with the accommodation and location. The owner, Raffaela, made us feel extremely welcome, and both through email and in person she answered many questions and provided advice to help us get settled into Rome and enjoy our vacation. Checking in and out was very pleasant and easy. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious; our favorite aspect is the loft bedroom, which opens to a rooftop patio and garden where we loved to relax and enjoy panoramic views of the Coliseum and beyond. The location is very convenient, in a lovely neighborhood with markets and restaurants, and we appreciated having the playground across the street for our children. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and the bedrooms and bathrooms had good quality linens. The living room and dining room areas are also nicely decorated and a lovely place to have family dinners. We would love to return someday!
