BarcelonaRome as Romans Do! (With help from Massimo)
Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013
I stayed at Massimo's apartment with my six-year old daughter and my parents in their seventies and eighties for five nights. As you can imagine, with a small child and elderly people, I needed a safe and convenient place with a kitchen and washing machine. The apartment was perfect... but the big bonus was Massimo, the owner. He helped me from the preparation - arranged the shuttle service to/from the airport. Just getting off from the car he was greeting with the big smile - although it was early in the morning on a weekend. Also, he gave us some valuable information on how to get by in Rome over a delicious cup of coffee and Italian pastry. (Grazie mille!) When I needed buy the shoes for my daughter because I took a wrong pair in the suitcase (!!), he suggested perfect solutions. (Again thank you so much.) On top of everything, he took care of our luggage on the day of our departure as we were leaving very late. He himself came to pick up the luggage sacrificing his lunch time while we were wandering around the town for the last time and kept them for us with him till the evening... I cannot give enough thank you for all he has done for us. He absolutely made our Roman holiday unforgettable without any incident or bad memories.
We loved the coffee shop where he took us when we arrived. It was just around the corner - 1 minute walk. There, we had breakfast and bought great and reasonably priced sandwiches for lunch. People were nice and it was so handy. Also, the restaurant next door - 30 seconds walk - was very good. Good service, great food and reasonable pricing. We went there three times! At the end of the small road where is the apartment is located - 1 minutes walk - there is a super market Carrefour. So it was very easy to manage daily meals, water supply...which sometimes becomes a challenge traveling with a small kid.
I wish Massimo and his family the best! If we go back to Rome someday, we will get touch with you!

RiyadhExcellent choice for a family stay
Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We chose to stay in this apartment based on other reviews and recommendations. I have to say that all the positive reviews and the super host badge Massimo has are just little to describe how good this choice was. The apartment location is perfect, few minutes' walk to St. Peter square and in a very safe area. Very authentic Italian life experience away from touristic hotels and between Italian people. Supermarket is 20m away and so is the bus stop and all other essentials. The apartment is as clean as you would expect it to be, and comes with all basic prerequisites a family might need. We have two young children and it was so convenient size wise. The wine and basic treats left by Massimo were so delightful and WiFi internet service completes the picture. Massimo is indeed a perfect host, makes you feel you always have a good friend to consult while in Rome. We had the pleasure of meeting him and his lovely family and I would truly recommend his apartment while in Rome.

This apartment is lovely, just steps from St. Peter's. We felt like Romans staying at this flat, as we got to know the friendly folks at nearby restaurants and markets. The bus stop is right outside the door, so it was simple to access all of Rome. Massimo was wonderful and helpful. Stay here, you will not regret it.

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This charming apartment is centrally located, within walking distance of the Vatican, and the bus stop is conviently located across the street. The windows look out over a side street, so it is nice and quiet. The apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, AC, washing machine, Wifi and TV. There is an extra pull awsy bed, making it perfect for a couple with a child. There is also a supermarket located right behind the building as well as a cafe and restaurant below. I highly recommend this charming apartment and neighborhood.

We were a party of 4 friends and we fully enjoyed our staying at Massimo's flat. Massimo himself welcomed us warmly and he bought us cappuccinos in a nearby coffee while chatting about things, although he was late for work. The house was fully equipped, clean and confortable. Everything we needed was in those closets. Thanx for the nice staying Massimo!

Massimo is an amazing host. Even though we arrived late, he was at the apartment waiting for us and spent time providing information about the city, our location, how to manage with the public buses... He even booked a taxi for our transfer back to the airport. The apartment is neat, clean and in a perfect location at walking distance to Vatican. With a supermarket and nice cafes just around the corner and some restaurants also very close, I'd definitely recommend it.

Massimo's apartment provided a great base for exploring Rome. Right around the corner from St Peter's basilica and a bus ride from the city. The apartment was clean and as a group of 4 we were able to stay comfortably. It was a fairly tight living space however was perfect for what we were looking for in our trip.

A Refaire !

Massimo was an excellent host! He gave us the most detailed and informative map of the city, as well as some tips on where to go/eat/see, and also left us with some nice continental breakfast and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Room-wise you will get everything you need (including hair dryer!), plus the apartment is excellently located - a mere 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican, with bus systems also taking you into the center of Rome. Highly, highly recommended!!

Great location for a vacation in Rome!! We are a family of 4 with 2 small children and this apartment was perfect for us. It is so conveniently located to hop on a bus or train to all of the sights of Rome and the Vatican is just a few minutes walk away. There are some great restaurants and shops just out the door including a grocery store. We drove our car and were able to find a parking space fairly easily which is tough to do in Rome! We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay while visiting this beautiful city!!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Massimo's apartment for 6 nights and found it to be virtually perfect. Massimo was an incredibly kind and accommodating host, even after we showed up over an hour late. The location, an easy walk to the Vatican, was great for launching trips to all of Rome. Massimo also oriented us to the main sights of the city, which made it much easier for us to find our way around. I would recommend Massimo and his apartment to any couples staying in Rome.

This apartment is in a perfect location, close to all the major sites but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet in the neighbourhood.
The apartment is very well equipped, wi fi, fully equipped kitchen with washer. Massimo the owner goes out of his way to be helpful, leaving some wine and food as an added extra. As we arrived late he also drove us to the main restaurant area in case they were closing.
I would thoroughly recommend this apartment -

We stayed here for our trip to Rome and Massimo was amazing. He waited over an hour for us due to train issues and still he was kind enough to give us information that would help with our tour through Rome and the Vatican and let us know he was available if we had any problems. He also left us stocked with a bottle of wine and some snacks. The place was clean, spacious, and cozy with everything you need (iron, hair dryer, converter, etc). I would totally recommend this place because it is accessible to everything (especially close to the Vatican) and a nice walk into Rome if you prefer to walk everywhere like we did.

Massimo is an excellent host - the best we could have hoped for! While he wasn't there to greet us personally, he made sure everything was in order for our arrival. We arrived a bit earlier than checkin, but we were able to leave our luggage at the accommodation while the cleaner, Helena, went about cleaning the apartment. Massimo was always in contact with us to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and we always felt comfortable to contact him if we needed to ask any questions. Definitely worth the stay, not only for the great location, but for the great host.

We spent 4 wonderful days in Rome and the appartment was perfect. It was well situated ( 5 minute wak to the Vatican and a 20 minute walk to the St Pietro metro station) and it had all the necessary amenities for our family ( 2 adults and two 9 year old twin boys). The owner Massimo and his wife made us feel at home and they patiently answered all of our questions. Thanks!!!

The flat was clean and comfortable. Massimo was an incredible host!! Spent time with us explaining the buses and trains. Unbelievably he also arranged a reasonable taxi to the airport for our departure. He even texted my at 445am to give me the taxi information that would be arriving in 5 minutes.
The buses are the main public transportation way to get to sites from this flat but everything is also within walking distance. I recommended it to a friend that was traveling with two adulut couples and they were also satisfied in their stay. -

The appartment is very conviniently located, and is very near restaurants. The host is very accomodating on the arrival times and was great to work with. We did not mind for what we paid that the accomodations are all on sleeper sofas, they are very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and would definetely stay there again.

I visited Europe with my parents and brother in May. Massimo was a fantastic host. The apartment is comfortable and very close to the Vatican (and from there you can take the Subway, or you can catch a bus a couple of blocks away from Massimo's place to the center of Rome). Massimo was checking on us very kindly and when I broke the key he came to leave a new one even when it was Sunday night. Thanks Massimo.

We had a lovely three nights in this apartment. It was spotlessly clean, with coffee, milk, wine, etc for our use provided and an open air market two blocks away for fresh bread & fruit for breakfast, as well as a grocery at the end of the street. The fold out sofa bed was comfortable, the shower good. It was a ten minute walk to the Vatican, lots of buses to get into the city if you don't want to walk, but still an easy walk to Piazza Navona. Massimo could not have been a better host. We only wish we could have met him and had that glass of wine we were talking about! Next time! Would definitely recommend this apartment.

We stayed in this flat for 4 days and it was rather good experience! The flat is situated about 5 minutes from Vatican and about 15-20 minutes to the city center, but you can get there by metro which is one minute from the apartments. Also there are a supermarket, some good cafes and grocery shop in the nearest buildings.
We stayed with a 7-month baby and Massimo provided all the necessary stuff (baby cot and baby chair) which was very nice of him.
Also I want to mention that Massimo and his wife are very nice and communicative people - if you have any questions they always ready to help you! -

We stayed at Massimo?s flat for four days in February. The flat is small but very well appointed. The furniture and household appliances are new and the flat looks as if it has been recently decorated. Massimo is an excellent host, very charming and friendly. He tries hard to make guests feel comfortable. He bought us a lot of groceries for breakfast and our first meal in the flat. There are also several staples in the kitchen cupboards such as oil, acceto, salt, sugar, coffee, rice, spaghetti, etc, etc.
The flat is very well located, it?s walking distance to the Vatican and ,if you enjoy walking, to many places of interest. If not, there are buses and St Pietro?s station two minutes? walk from the apartment. There are lots of cafes, pizza places and a Carrefour Express nearby. It?s a bit cramped for four people when the two sofas are unfolded, but it?s OK, you are in Rome to go sightseeing not to stay in. We?ll definitely book it if we ever go back to Rome. Thank Massimo very much for everything!!! -

My wife and I stayed here for about 4 days in October 2010. Massimo met us at the apartment and helped us get settled in with everything. He even took us out for a cup of coffee at a local cafe nearby the apartment.
The location of the apartment is great. Everything was within walking distance. We didn't have to take a taxi during our entire stay. The are a couple of nice cafes/restaurants just around the corner from the apartment.
The interior of the apartment was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and we were able to sleep comfortably, relax, and also use the kitchen to cook some of our meals.
Overall, I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to stay in a great location in Rome and save a lot of money compared to the hotels!
Thanks Massimo!

He even brought us a Christmas gift, really nice detail of him. We recommend you stay at Massimo's place 100%, walking distance from Vatican city, and very close to Metro stations. The flat is comfortable and has an elevator for luggage. The neighborhood is quite and really secure. We will surely go back. Thanks Massimo we will see you soon!!!

Massimo is an impeccable host. His apartment is beautiful, recently renovated. It is located near St. Peter train station, there are busses stopping right in front of the building, and there is a Carrefour (1-2 minutes walk) as well as other shops and dinners very close by. St. Peter is 10 min walk, and one could hop on a bus for a stop to shorten even that. My parents don’t speak Italian, and managed to use the public transportation to visit all touristic attractions, they also found all sort of shops around (including delicious bakery), and they took my kid pigeon feeding in St. Peter’s square every day. The kitchen is well equipped, and my mom managed to cook homemade meals regularly. Massimo was extremely helpful – we arrived on a holiday, so all the shops were closed, but he brought us some supplies, including delicious brioches, wine, and coffee. It was always pleasure to deal with Massimo – he was always punctual, he gave us recommendations, and helped me figure out how to get to my temporary work place using the public transportation. We stayed in the apartment in November, and some days I felt cold (the central air is provided by utility, which at least to me was unpredictable in terms of how it was working). As soon as I mentioned it to Massimo, he brought us an electric heater (even though I admitted that out of 4 people, I was the only one feeling cold!). We enjoyed our stay in Rome, and I highly recommend Massimo’s apartment!

My husband and I traveled to Rome for the first time in October 2010. We had a wonderful stay at Massimo's apartment. Massimo was readily available, extremely helpful and a very nice person. He gave us great recommendations for dining and suggested areas to shop when we asked for help with leather shops. He had even left a bottle of wine and fresh roses for our arrival!
The apartment is clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. There a several buses that stop on the main road right in front of the street where the flat is. The metro station is also very close by. It is within walking distance of St. Peters Square, but luckily is not touristy. This was great since we didn't have to deal with inflated prices of cafes like we found by the tourist areas. There is a supermarket, butcher shop, tobacco stand, restaurant and cafe all in the immediate vicinity of the flat. We never cooked anything more than breakfast (mainly because the food in Rome is amazing) but the kitchen is adequate and supplied with basics(coffee, tea, pasta, olive oil, seasonings, pot, pans). There were also some crossants left for us.
The area is more residential and feels very safe. There is a hotel across from the apartment. We had a great stay and highly recommend Massimo's apartment -

Massimo made us feel like we had a home away from home. For the price, the location and comfortability were great. It is just a stone's throw from the Vatican, but a quite a walk from the centre of town. If you are fit and have time, the walk is beautiful, but if you're in a hurry a taxi costs very little.
The apartment itself is all self contained, easy to do your own meal preparation if you prefer and good to relax after a hard days sightseeing.
Thanks for the good time! -

Left on 08/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This was a fantastic little apartment. It is easy to get to from Fiumicino and it is easy to get to all the attractions in Rome. Massimo is a gentleman and he was very attentive to our needs while we stayed in his apartment. The flat was clean and neat with everything we needed in it. There is a supermarket and an open air market very close, so it was easy to cook our own meals. It's hard to choose one great thing to say we liked best about our stay. If I had to choose something bad, I would say that it would be nice to have a bed instead of two sleeper sofas, but that's just me being nitpicky. This is a wonderful place to stay on a budget. I have already recommended it to a friend traveling to Rome this winter.
