It has 2 large airconditioned bedrooms. The master bedroom, furnished with antique furniture, has a decidedly romantic feel. The other bedroom, with twin beds and a study, is comfortable and contemporary. It has a modern and very spacious living/dining room with a sofa bed that can comfortably sleep two, satellite TV, DVD player, and a stereo CD player. There are two tastefully appointed bathrooms, one with a bathtub, and the other with a shower and a hair dr...Read more

Northern CaliforniaWhat a wonderful experience!
Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My friend and I stayed at Casalili recently and found the experience absolutely wonderful.
Marmi was extremely hospitable, arranged our tour to the Vatican and she was right, our tour guide was the best in Rome! She also arranged car service for us and her recommendations for the local restaurants were right on target.
The apartment was extremely comfortable, clean and the neighborhood was perfect and walking distance to all the sites.
I'm looking forward to returning to Rome and when I do, I hope to stay at Casalili! -

PrincetonGreat location, great landlord
Left on 10/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Perfect for a family visiting Rome. We visited with our three grown children. We particularly appreciated the transportation to and from the airport. Marmi was a fabulous host meeting us when we arrived, giving us a tour of the neighborhood and even helping us purchase Roma passes. She also encouraged us to schedule a private tour guide for one day which she set up. I was a little askance because of the cost, but in hindsight the value of the private tour was well worth it.

Marmi - Thank you for letting us stay at Casa Lily, we had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic and we loved strolling through the neighborhood at night. The Gelato store on the corner was a favorite! We enjoyed our stay.
We were there with another couple, pre-cruise - a great way to start our adventure! -
First time visitors to Rome!
Eureka, CaliforniaComfortable apartment in the center of old Rome.
Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We enjoyed the central location and ease of getting around Rome. The apartment was clean, had air conditioning and a washer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Marmi was very helpful, even before we arrived. She arranged two tours for us, the Vatican tour was especially good. The bottle of wine and fruit were a nice surprise. We had to buy a light bulb and paper towels, and the drip coffee pot didn't work, small inconveniences. We had our own gelato and caffe spot, on our block! The best part of the apartment is the delightful terrace. We give this a big thumbs up!

CanadaCasa Lili - A Great Stay in Rome
Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
My family had a great time in Rome when we stayed at Casa Lili. Marmi was a great hostess to the nice Italian home that has: great location- under the shadow of the Colosseo, near to convenient stores to buy bus tickets, snacks, or other basics and near to bus stops yet not in the heart of major traffic quiet neighborhood, clean and homey ; great service- little thoughtful pluses like welcome tray of fruits, city maps and tips of dining, and even a fair and convenient provider of tour and transportation services. The best thing was that the place itself was thoughtfully designed to make our stay stress free. The only thing we didn't like was the power that trips when we use the washing machine. But- we are staying in a real Italian apartment older than we are... it was not designed for all the modern conveniences we have today. So overall - it was a small price to pay for an awesome stay. Thank you very much, Marmi.

Saskatoon, SaskatchewanTremendous rental
Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The apartment was very clean with large bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The most valuable part of this rental was the owner, Marmi. She did eveything and more to make our stay pleasant. In fact, she went far above what we would evr expect. She gave us restaurant recommendations, which were tremendous, made arrangements for tours, and had us driven to and from the airport. We highly recommend this rental.

Windsor, Ontario, CanadaNice apartment near the Colosseum
Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Very (overly) friendly owner. Great location. Clean, nicely furnished apartment.
I do have a few complaints. Some sort of scum in potted plants, owner noticed this when I first arrived but did not clean it up. Whatever it was it was quite offensive to the olfactory system.
The owner was almost insulting in reference to some of our vacation plans. Granted these plans, from a travel agent, were not very sensible but this was the fault of the travel agent. I did not appreciate the oft repeated criticisms of these plans.
A friend of the owner gave a tour of the Vatican. It was a good tour which was conducted rather quickly which was suitable with two teenagers in our group. I would have liked more detail, I do not know if the tour would be adjusted depending upon the demographics of the group. -

Moss Beach, CaliforniaDelightful apartment in Rome!!
Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We had never been to Rome so we searched Trip advisor and another website for an affordable apartment there. Marmi Fuentebella and I established communication via email prior to our trip and she offered some very helpful suggestions. She greeted us upon arrival, helped us with our luggage and then showed us around the lovely neighborhood with its various shops and restaurants. We visited the gelato shop at the corner nearly every day! Yum! The apartment itself was very comfortable, has all the amenities, plenty of linens and towels and it has a nice outdoor terrace. We walked mostly everywhere in Rome and there is a taxi stand and bus tour stop just 3 blocks away to go to areas not within walking distance. I highly recommend this apartment!

NCAdequate for our needs
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The apartment was certainly adequate for our needs. The owner was very willing to talk prior to our booking via Skype phone, and it was certainly handy having an English speaking owner. I had put off finding a Rome apartment until two weeks prior to our leaving the States, and we had limited choice compared to how many properties seem to be available a few months out.
The apartment was advertised with free limo service for transfers, and that was amazingly helpful! Both limo drivers were punctual and friendly, and we got from the train and then back to the airport with no problems. I misunderstood the advertisement and thought it was for both transfers which I spoke about in our emails; the owner did tell us when we got the keys that it was actually supposed to be for 1 transfer only, but that she was honoring what we had discussed in our emails with each other, which was awfully nice of her.
The owner was a bit insistent that we book at least one tour through her. We had been in Rome several times before, and felt that we would do fine with no tours booked. The owner stated that she was losing money if we did not book a tour, and that she had been counting on that, but my husband simply told her we were not interested in that. We felt that the tours were a bit pricey to begin with, and I was a bit surprised that her rental profit would be that affected by our booking or not booking. As it ended up, we did the Vatican, the ruins, and Rome itself with no problems and saw everything that was on our "must see" list.
The apartment was a bit smaller and a bit shabbier than we were expecting. The sofa is covered with a slipcover, and what the pictures indicated was a 'L' shaped piece on the end was a fold-out twin bed. So sitting for 4 was tight with the layout; my husband usually sat at the dining table. The balcony is very small with zero view (the washing machine is out there), and not totally conducive to sitting out with coffee or a glass of wine in the evenings. The queen bed was very hard, and the twins were very soft, but the bedding was all nice and very clean. Lighting was dim, and there was a missing fixture in the twin bedroom.
The baths were very nice. The shower bathroom is very small, but the other one with the tub is a good size. We had an issue on our last night with the water backing up through a floor drain when the bath water was let out, and I emailed the owner but never a reply; since it was when we were leaving, I just cleaned the water up and left the dirty towel I used in the tub.
The kitchen seemed more than adequate. We did not cook while there, but did stock the frig with cheeses, meats, beer, wine and soft drinks from a very handy grocery store. Restaurants were plentiful and good, and the gelato shop downstairs was great.
The a/c kept up with the outside temperatures, which were scorching! Hot water was plentiful, and we never had any issues with electric outages (which can happen in Italy).
All in all, we did not spend that much time in the apartment, so it worked out well for our needs. Had we spent more time there, it would have been a bit cramped for sitting and a little dimmer than we were used to at night. While we hated badly to leave (the entire italian vacation was spectacular!), it was wonderful go get back to my mattress! -

We felt like we were part of the Italian culture by staying in this place. I will never forget being out on the patio of the flat and hearing an upstairs neighbor singing in Italian!
The flat had all we needed and was so close to shops, dining, groceries, and of course, the Metro and the Colliseum!!! We always felt safe and walked the entire area both during the day and at night.
Marti was so nice to meet us on arrival and very accomodating to arrange the driver and tours we wanted. Would definitely recommend it to others!!
I would honestly say that where we stayed made this one of the best vacations we have ever had-and we travel quite a bit. We loved it! -

We were not able to stay in this apartment (our group was too large), but I wanted to recommend both the neighborhood and the owner of this rental, because we worked with her in another capacity. We stayed in the same building and the owner of this apartment, Marmi, was recommended to us by friends (who did stay in the apartment and recommended it very highly) as someone who could help us book guides for sightseeing in Rome. Marmi was extremely helpful and warm and got us a fantastic guide for the Vatican (Raffaella)... we loved our tour and were thankful for Marmi's assistance. Not only that, but Marmi answered a ton of questions I had about booking Hypogeum tour tickets for the Colosseum... for a tour she hadn't booked for us (I just wanted to ask a local). Way above and beyond the call of duty... The apartment is in a fantastic location - just a few blocks from the Colosseum, but a quiet area and lots of good places to eat nearby and not far from Colosseum subway stop. We loved the neighborhood!

Everything is as stated. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Maria was wonderful to meet and very helpful as she arranged taxis from the airport and to the train station for us. Gave us great directions to the places we wanted to find. All around a great place to stay and we would stay here again

This apartment is very pretty, with high ceilings, minimal street noise, lovely amenities, and a pretty little patio. The cost is not cheap, but the absolute best part about this place was the location - easy walking distance (even in the heat!) from the Coliseum, the Palatine Hill, and St. Peter in Chains, not to mention a few other really fascinating ancient sites. There are some great restaurants nearby too, and the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. The location really could not have been better.

This was our second time staying at your great apartment. Can't say enough about the location (walk outside and see the coloseum!!), love the patio area, feel like a real local when staying there. Shopping and veg markets, meat markets, etc are all so close and great selections. Marmi and family are the best. They will go out of their ways to accomodate you, and are available at any time to assist. Have already given two friends the email for Casa Lilli, so hopefully you will hear from them soon Marmi...all the best to you and your family, thank you again for everything...and hope to see you again soon..Sandi Carrarini and family ~
