This apartment is located in a splendid 14th century building located is in the very heart of the historical centre, just behind Piazza Navona and Pantheon. Campo de Fiori is literally across the road while St. Peter's (Vatican) are within a 10 minutes walking distance.
This building located on Via del Governo Vecchio, as well as its atmosphere, are synonyms with aristocracy. Indeed the apartments in this building are owned by aristocratic families who have left the imprints of their style and eruditeness on the walls and in the air of the place throughout the centuries. For example the distinctive stairwell on the right of the courtyar...Read more

Barrow On HumberExcellent City Centre Location
Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This quirky apartment enjoys an excellent city centre location within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. The accommodation is well thought out for a family of four or two couples and there is everything you need for a weeks self catering stay. I'd advise you to check out the lights on arrival though many bulbs had blown on our visit leaving it a little dark, although literally down the street is a super market selling all your needs. There are several bars and restaurants nearby offering great food at reasonable prices and the best gelato we've tasted at Frigidairum

San Francisco, CaliforniaGreat Location Location Location

This apt. has a fantastic location that is within walking distance to all the major sites in historic Rome. It is nearby to wonderful local restaurants, a grocery store and fresh fruit/vegetable market, and shopping. It is across the street from 2 popular restaurants that can be very noisy until midnight. The apt. only has one tiny bathroom which was difficult with 5 adults as the hot water tank is only good for 2 hot showers at a time. The living area was comfortable and the wifi was perfect but the beds were extremely hard, even by european standards. Also, 2 rooms have 2 kitchen tables which I found a waste of space. It would be better to have comfortable chairs or a couch in the back bedroom area. Fresh towels would have been nice after day 3 or 4!

Grafton, Massachusetts, United StatesWonderful apartment in a perfect location!
Left on 11/24/2012 for a stay in October 2012
This apartment was the heart of our stay in Rome. It was perfectly charming in a fabulous neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the piazza navona neighborhood. There is a grocery a block away and many restaurants. It worked great for our family. We were able to walk everywhere! We walked to the forum, Vatican city, the colosseum, campo d'fiori, the pantheon, Spanish steps, and Trevi fountain. We can't wait to return to Rome and stay in this terrific apartment again.

PrincetonA beautiful and quiet apartment in the heart of Rome.
Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our stay could not have been better. The apartment is on the ground floor of a 14th century building in 3 rooms, with beautiful windows and other architectural touches. But it felt very modern where it mattered. It has been remodeled recently, and has a lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water--something I have learned not always to expect when in Rome. The agents for the rental were also very friendly, helpful, and competent. The Internet wi-fi worked well for me, as did the airport shuttle service the agency arranged for us. I will definitely stay there again. It was the best apartment rental experience overall that I have had in Italy.

North Vancouver, B.C., CanadaPerfect Roman apartment
Left on 07/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This perfect Roman apartment is located on via Governo Vecchio, a lively, vibrant street in the heart of historical Rome. Via Governo Vecchio leads directly into Piazza Navona, one of Rome's most beautiful outdoor spaces. Surrounding the apartment are cafes and restaurants, shops, grocery store and a great gelato place called "Frigidarium." Right next door is Cafe Novecento, a delightful cafe with delicious coffee and home-made pastries. It's a four-minute stroll to the grocery store where fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, bread, cheese, wine are available. You have a choice of cafes for your morning cappuccino.
The apartment is on the ground floor of a 14th Century building. You enter through a massive wooden door and proceed through an arched passageway into an inner courtyard. Above you'll admire the attractive windows, crafted by Baroque architect Carlo Maderno. We especially appreciated the presence of a concierge within the building adjacent to the courtyard. Because of the foot-thick outer walls, the apartment was very quiet and no traffic or noise at night disturbed our sleep. If you exit the inner courtyard through the rear door you immediately step into another great Roman street, via di Monte Giordano and directly across find the wonderful restaurant, Il Fico. We also found the best pizza in the world at La Foccacia, a few minutes' walk away.
The apartment is clean, spacious and well looked after. One sleeping loft is equipped with twin beds and the second loft has a queen bed.
The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is immaculate.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare full meals. Although we didn't cook supper in the apartment, we made coffee and breakfast every morning.
