Additional Location Information
The area of Torpignattara was, in roman times, a part of the imperial property and here Emperor Constantine had a mausoleum built for his mother Helena. In the underground area below the building there are a great number of catacombs with beautiful wall paintings: the SS. Marcellino and Pietro's catacombs. These buildings form the complex historically known as "Ad Duas Lauros" and today as Villa De Sanctis Park. It is 500 meters from the apartment.
The zone is famous because in 1950-60 a lot of famous films were filmed here. The zone still has the fascination and the characteristic houses of those years.

The apartment is very spacious. A family of 8 people can stay there having plenty of space. 4 rooms in which people can sleep and a private garden in which children can play.
From the apartment you can easily reach the historic center. The best way to reach the historic center is by bus 409 and metro. you can qu?ckly reach Piazza di Spagna, Trevi´s fountain, the Coliseum and Vatican -

We had 7 people in our party and the house was a great size for us. The bus stop was about a 7 minute walk from the house and then a 10 minute bus ride to the metro. They even had a good bit of tourist information for us when we got there. We took a couple of their suggestions and we were glad we did. San Clemente was a amazing church to see, very unique and for a day trip we went to Ostia antica, about an hour train ride from the house. Go in the morning though, all outside and it was roasting. The house came well equipped, we could have used one more fan but besides that it meet all of our needs. The garden out back is a great place to have breakfast or supper and there was a small fountain that kids played in some with our help. We ate a couple different local restaurants to the house, both were delicious- Aurora-great pizza place and Casale Del Buongustoio-Italian food of all kinds. Not touristy at all and they worked with how little we knew the language, great with all four of my kids too! The owners of the house even left us a bottle of wine and arranged for our shuttle to and from the airport. We will recommend this house to our friends here. Thanks for such a lovely stay in your house!

Bozeman MTlovely apartment, a bit farther out than expected
Left on 06/19/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The apartment was lovely, in a very peaceful residential area with a terrific bakery, pasta shop, vegetable stand, internet cafes, and laundry all close by. The home was spotless and very comfortable, and the hosts provided plenty of information. Owners were very pleasant and drove us and our luggage to the bus stop upon leaving. A great place to live in a typical Roman area. Negatives: Buses into Rome run every 5 minutes, but unless there is zero traffic (almost never), it takes a good half an hour to get to the Termini station in addition to the 10-15 minute walk to get to the bus stop (with stairs). No laundry or internet, but both are close by.

Thank you for your review.
In the apartment there is wireless internet but there isn't the computer. So guests can use internet inside the apartment, only if they have a mobile computer. -

Lonehill, South Africa and Lancaster, California USAA wonderful home for our stay in Rome.

Anna and Luigi were gracious hosts meeting our family as we arrived and helping us with all the essential information regarding the flat. It was well equipped and maintanined. A 5 minute walk to the train or bus stops and we were off to the sights of Rome. It took approximately 30 to an hour to get to most places from door to sight.
It's a bit difficult to get to from the airport. So take their advice and allow them to organize your taxi from the airport to the apartment. They arranged for our taxi to the airport for 50 euro, half of what I arranged for coming.
This apartment is in an Italian neighborhood and very few people speak english but we had no difficult getting needed groceries and sundries. It was a very nice experience. Thank you anna for all you have created! It is a great value for any family desiring a visit to Rome especially on a budget. -

AvianoSpacious stay for a family of 6!
Left on 11/29/2011 for a stay in November 2011
This apartment is exactly as described. We brought our 4 children (12,6, 2 and 5 months) and everyone had enough space. The metro is about a 1/2 mile walk from the apartment but the bus is closer. We just opted for the metro because we like walking, the weather was beautiful and there was more room on the metro for the stroller. Keep in mind that the walk is a little harrowing along the road with no sidewalks with little ones in tow. Anna will give you a map and show you exactly which bus to take and where to go.
The kitchen is well stocked and there is a grocery store, bakery, tabacchi shop very close. We bought our food and cooked dinner every night. A nice touch was the bottle of vino waiting for us when we arrived- it was very much appreciated!
The area was very quiet which is a huge plus if you have kids. We all slept well! There was plenty of hot water for baths and comfortable beds with a lot of extra blankets if you need them. The crib was all set up too!
If you drive, you have a place to park right in front of the apartment-this is a huge perk in Rome.
You cannot beat the price, quiet neighborhood and clean, spacious accommodations for a family with kids. We would definitely go back and stay there!
Ciao

We are really very content with our stay at Casa Vinceza in Rome. The house is fully equiped, clean and comfortable for 5 persons (our family). With Christmas it was cold in the night. Inside the house the temperature is warm also by the heating in the floor. The owners are very supporting. The house was decorated extra for Christmas. We are very pleased

NYGreat holiday
Left on 09/13/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We had a fabulous holiday, and the apartment was a great base. It was great, very clean and with all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable and the area nice and quiet. There's a lots of information provided about the local area, and how to get into the centre of Rome, which was very easy to get to. There was a nice little courtyard out the back. There's a very good restaurant just round the corner, as well as a bakery and a supermarket (which we used often). The owner's son was extremely friendly, and helpful and (for a fee) arranged transport to and from the airport, a fact which we were very grateful for. In short, we were provided with everything we needed for a great holiday in Rome. Thanks for everything
