Additional Location Information
Re di Roma Holiday House is a nice apartment for vacation rentals situated in the heart of Rome, in the middle of Re Di Roma square, on Re di Roma metro and bus stop. Also Tuscolana Station is very close; this means that the apartment is really well connected to the city airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and to the main train stations in Rome. In 10 minutes by foot, or just 1 metro stop, is possible to reach San Giovanni basilica and the Scala Santa.
Newly renovated, the apartment is only few meters away from bars and pizzerias for good food and aperitif but, at the same time, really close to fashion shops and the famous Sannio street market.

Rome has two metro lines and many bus lines. All plagued by pickpockets. The Di Roma apartment is 25 yards from the Di Roma metro station. All sites in ancient Rome are at most 20 minute walk from a metro station. Getting about and getting to the apartment, even for a first time visitor to Rome is quick and easy. I have sent Wanda detailed instructions on how to find the place based on our experience as first time visitors.
The supermarket across the road is good. Their cheeses , cold meats and breads, excellent and make for some very good meals.
The apartment is slightly underground and has very thick walls indeed. Although it is on a busy street it is quite.
Advertized as self catering the kitchen appointments are very basic. Luca was very quick to respond to slight hot water difficulties late in the evening.Response from Wanda & Luca - 05/17/2013

This place had everything you need. It was even more spacious than we thought it would be and it was very cozy. We felt very safe and secure. It was very conveniently located, literally right outside a metro station. There's a nice park at the metro station's exit, which was very family friendly. There's a large supermarket directly in front of the apartment. The owners were very friendly and helpful! Very well priced for such a great place!

LondonFantastic place to stay in Rome.
Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed at this apartment for 5 nights in September and enjoyed it very much. Although there is no balcony or outside space, the apartment is spacious and well designed and suited our needs perfectly. The owner was welcoming from the start of the booking process, and always made someone available if there was ever a problem. Very much recommended.

Unfortunately we only stayed in this appartment for 2 nights, but its location is great. Only few steps from the metro and the bus stop and most important, the supermarket was just accross the street. Amazing! Lucca was waiting for us at the scheduled time so everything went very smooth. Neighborhood is nice and save. We enjoyed very much how big is the bedroom and the dinning area. The kitchen is completely equipped and all appliances worked well. We do recommend this place.

We stayed in this apartment for 10 days and it was a brilliant base for exploring Rome. The Metro is just down the road and was very reliable, we were in the city centre in 10 mins. The apartment is comfortable, the air conditioning was fantastic! The only downside is that there isn't much of a view from the apartment itself, but it wasn't a problem for us. Luca and Wanda were so friendly and helpful both when making the booking and on arrival.

ChicagoFirst Visit to Rome
Left on 09/26/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This was our first time visiting Italy, and Rome specifically, so we were a little hesitant to go the route of an apartment, versus a centrally located hotel, but once we met up with the host and received the keys/tour of the apartment, we knew we had made a good decision. The apartment was spotless, pretty comfortable, and located right next to the Re di Roma metro stop, so we were able to easily navigate the city, with nothing more than a little pocket map. Great value and space, located steps from public transporation - all made for a great stay in Rome! The only element that would have enhanced our stay is wireless internet. Since this was our first time traveling to Rome, we brought our tablet PC, in hopes of lining up restaurants/tours from our apartment, but were unable to do so due to no connection. Plenty of cafes around though to link up, if you're willing to go out and search.
Overall, a wonderful stay! -

Left on 06/14/2011 for a stay in May 2011
So it was our first visit to eternal city and we were travelling with kids, so I guess this tells a lot;)
We rented apartment for couple days and we were really happy about it. It was easy to communicate with owners in English, they were flexible to change meeting time (as arrived later than expected);
Apartment really looks like in the pictures, that was surprising . And it's located very convenient - almost next to metro (line1 - which goes to allmost all must-see places); there are 2 supermarkets in nearby; really great Italian desert cafe-shop. Most probably there is also good night club - we ddn't had a chance to visit it this time. Our kids enjoyed playing in the playground, while we were having morning coffee at home...
Not to mention - that place is accesible by foot from almost everywhere. -

USAGreat Place to stay if you have been to Rome before
Left on 06/02/2011 for a stay in May 2011
I had been to Rome several times before, so this was a great place. It is no where near the city center. You are very close to the subway. So as long as you know your way and have experience with the subway, This is the place to stay. There is a little shop down the street that is open pretty late called Pompi it has great gelatos and you have to have the strawberry tiramsu. All the locals go here at night. The street is very active at night. But you can't hear it inside if you close the windows. The people I was traveling with had never been to Rome before and were a little stressed about the location. Since I had, it was very easy for us to get around and feel comfortable. You pretty much on your own when it comes to getting around and for recommendations. It is decorated very nicely. There is no phone and no internet. I was not able to find a internet cafe nearby. I really enjoyed the apt. I will be staying here again in the future. I enjoyed the stay. If you have never been to rome stay near the center of town. Luca was very nice and helpful at check in. We understood each other with signs. I had been delayed and was stressed because I had no way to call, but Luca was waiting for us when we got there.

The apartment was perfect for a quick sight-seeing visit. It was close enough to attractions, clean, and affordable. two small gripes were that there was no internet connection and the hot water only lasted for a few minutes.

Left on 05/07/2011 for a stay in April 2011
I stayed here with my cousin for 6 nights. It is walking distance to Rome - about 20mins from the Colosseum. Alternatively there is a metro station round the corner, but be aware that until april 2012 the line shuts at 9pm!
The supermarket is across the road which is very convenient.
The appartment is comfortable and very convenient if you don't mind a reasonable amont of walking vs the extra cost of staying more centrally.
There is some road noise but the bedroom is double glazed and I think this is an inevitability where-ever you stay in Rome.
The only criticism was that the gate was very stiff to open and I couldn't open it from the inside. Also the toilet leaked which wasn't too pleasant but if these are fixed then a great place to stay.

Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in April 2011
The apartment was a wonderful, modern santuary in the middle of the city. It was conviently close to the metro and right across the street from a grocery store. The room was spacious and comfortable.
My only suggestion would be to very carefully work out the check-in process. I was unaware that the owner wanted to be called 20 minutes prior to arrival so we could be issued keys. But after that was situated everything went smoothly. -

My wife and I along with our two kids stayed here over the weekend. The apartment is in a great location. Right across the street is a market for groceries. You are 5 minutes, walking, from the Metro. Right down the street is perhaps the busiest coffee shop in all of Italy that has the best Cafe and Tiramisu. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The pull out sofa was perfect for the kids. I highly recommend this place to a single person, a couple, or a small family with one or two kids.

We were happy to stay in Re Di Roma for five nights in Feb 2011. Location was good, there's a metro station in 100 meters, supermarket (a good one) just over the street) and it's located near to the city center (for example, we walked from apartment to Colosseum). We travelled with one small child and it was nice to get a baby cot and a baby chair for her. Also there's a playground in 100 meters which was very nice. Apartment was nice (just renovated) and clean and did fit well to us. I will tell to my friends about this apartment when they are planning a trip to Rome.

Re di Roma Holiday House is a cosy apartment situated really near metro stop "Re di Roma". My husband and I stayed there with our 2 children this May. The thing that made Re di Roma HH such a good place was the high level of service that the hosts, Wanda & Luca, provided during our stay. Their hospitality changed our stay in Rome from good to fantastic. They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants, bars, transportation, and tourist attractions.
The location of the apartment is great. It is essentially 10 minutes walk to San Giovanni's Cathedral and Scala Santa and 20-25 minute walk to Colosseum. The area has many restaurants which are a lot cheaper than other areas of Rome. They are also a lot less touristy.
We travelled Rome on a cheap budget, and Re di Roma HH fitted in well with our budget. But I do believe that if we come back, even on a bigger budget we will still stay at this fantastic Holiday House.
