    Additional Location Information

The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and characteristic areas ofRome Historical Centerand its strategic position permits to reach in few minutes the most important points of interest of the city: the Campidoglio, the current administrative seat of Rome Municipality, the Fori Imperiali, the Jewish Ghetto, the Lungotevere, Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
The foundation of the building rests on antique basements of columns belonging to a temple named "Tempio di Via delle Botteghe Oscure” and probably once known as "Nymphs Temple". The columns, still standing, were found during the excavations in the nearby archaeological site and have been relocated in the meanwhile. The building itself is located in a larger area known as “Porticus Minucia Frumentaria” dating back to the first half of the 1st Century a.C. (it was the grain administrative and distribution center).
In front of the building there is another point of interest open to the public: the Crypta Balbi.
Various bus lines and the tram line number 8 stop in Largo Argentina, where you find a taxi station as well.
Numerous bus lines stop in Piazza Argentina as well.
The apartment is located in a limted traffic zone. Non residents can access the area by car just from 6.30 pm to 6.30 am, on Saturday until 2 pm and during the whole day on Sunday. It is difficult to park in the area but it is possible to park in the private garage of the neighbourhood with daily or monthly tickets.

very comfortable and safe sleek modern apartment in central rome

Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012

This central rome apartment was very comfortable for three with excellent facilities and large living areas. We were well looked after by Francesco ,Chantelle and Marija ,the Halldis team in Rome and the whole process was smooth ans worry free. The only negatives were a lack of instruction manual for general household running and the beds were very firm! Ps The aryudevic rstuarant nest door has great food.

      An excellent stay in Rome

Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in April 2012

I was pleased to discover that the apartment was exactly as described; a good size, well equipped and central. The organisation of the taxis, key collection etc was very well done. I would have liked to see an information pack about the Rome with suggestions of good local places to eat and visit and I would have liked the opportunity of a welcome pack of food basics. I would also have liked to know that there was a bar which had a couple of loud live music events until very late at night just to the side of the apartment! That being said, central Rome is always going to have noise, but it was very loud and late. All in all, however, a great place to stay and very good for visiting most of the historical sites on foot. Lastly, it would be a good thing to tell future visitors that the name on the apartment is not Halldis as we spent 10 minutes outside trying to contact someone to tell us which bell to ring!

      Center city accommodation

Left on 04/07/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The apartment itself is excellent, very up-to-date, and conveniently located in the Centro Historico. It appears to be a complete rennovation in an older building, and it features great facilities. The kitchen was well equipped with microwave, pod coffee maker, five-burner gas stove and electric range, and a full-sized refrigerator with ice-maker and water dispenser.
      The bathroom were very up-to-date.
The down side also deals with location. First of all via Celsa is a much used connection throughout the day by pedestrians and at night with some car and motorcycles traffic. Secondly, the apartment is located beside a theater-night club and often has rock music until after midnight. We knew the later when we rented, so we brought earplugs that helped a little. But the location would not be good for light sleepers or for children who might be disturbed by the sounds from the club.

Beautiful, large, modern very well loocated apartment

Left on 10/17/2011 for a stay in October 2011

I spent a week at Via Celsa with my family. The apartment has been totally reburished and looks brand new. We were very impressed when we walked into the apartment. It is large and spacious with all the mod cons. It is very well located with a great cafe downstairs, supermarket around the corner and very close to major attractions including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome.

      Surpassed our expectations

Left on 10/02/2011 for a stay in September 2011

I was met by friendly, helpful Nino when I arrived at Via Celsa # 3. My husband joined me the following day for our first trip to Rome. We had no idea that this apartment was so central, but we found out as we walked through the streets of Rome over the next week, that we could not have chosen a better location even if we had known our way around!
The apartment is beautifully appointed, with modern, clean, tasteful furniture. The gorgeous Siematic kitchen is a cook's delight and we enjoyed being able to walk a short distance to the Compo di Fiori market and buy fresh fruits and veges of a very high calibre. It was also important that we could prepare some of our own meals with great ease.
We loved the feeling of being able to unpack fully, spread out in comfort and really feel as though we lived in Rome (albeit briefly).
The two bathrooms were gorgeous and, though smallish, were clean, modern, worked well (something that does not always happen in Europe we have discovered) and suited us perfectly.
It was important for us to have internet included(we both needed to work) and also to have an in-house clothes washing machine. I loved hanging our laundry outside the dining room window on a line 3 stories up.
We had "our own" ruins outside the dining room window and down the stairs.
There was occasional noise at night from the lively streets, but the apartment is extraordinarily sound proof.
The aC was a blessing since it was around 28-32C most days.
The only thing that did not work was the elevator which was being worked on intermittently for the entire week. We are fit, able and welcomed the exercise, but it could be a problem for people with mobility issues. If you are considering renting this lovely apartment and have mobility issues, make sure the agency checks on the elevator before you arrive.
We were so sorry to leave and look forward to a return in as short a time as possible.
On our last day, lovely, friendly Nino came back to check us out.

      Superb - Exactly as described

Left on 09/05/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The appartment was perfect for our needs - very clean and fully equipped (worth the expense in our mind). Location was excellent - walking distance to all major attractions. Elevator was unfortunatly out of service - but it was only a minor inconvenience. The appartment is located 2 floors above a night club that was open a couple of nights until the early morning - a bit noisy those nights. There was also a great little cafe as well which was great in the mornings and a small restaurant. It was very hot and the air conditioning was great to have after a long day of touring. Having access to the computer was also awesome. The beds were a bit hard for our liking. But overall we were delighted with the accomodation and simple and timely check in and check out process - I would highly recommend this to anyone.
