Afforable, cute gem
Our stay was in a different apartment than this, but same building as all the properties from Paola in Ponte Lungo area. The apartment we had came with a private PATIO which was heavenly to sit outside. If I stayed again, I would request this apartment due to the patio.
RENTAL: The apartment was fine, but really was a steal of a deal for the price. I really enjoyed hearing the little neighborhood kids playing nearby. The place was super quiet and just really nice, safe and adequate. It wasn't perfect... but was perfect enough for our week long stay. Paola, please add a couple of firm, foam pillows as some Americans prefer them, and a hair dryer!. The bed was great. My only complaint was that it was a bit musty (I suspect someone had smoked in the living room or maybe it hadn't been used in a while).. but because it included a PATIO, we were able to air it out. I can't begin to tell you how lovely it was to have a private, gated, walled patio... really awesome. The wifi worked well and is really a must to have free wifi due to phone costs. I'm so glad we had a private apartment versus a typical hotel stay.
LOCATION: The location of the building is good! We were out of the hub-bub of Rome and in the quiet neighborhood areas (I'm a light sleeper). If you've just arrived in Rome, don't be freaked out by the graffiti and think the area isn't safe. It's Italy, and unfortunately they have much more graffiti than we do in the US. It's not an indication of the quality/safety of a neighborhood. The restaurants were very nice and good to eat with the locals and the prices were awesome. The metro stop was an 8 minute walk from the station (we are in our mid 40's)... easy to walk with luggage and a PIECE of CAKE to navigate all of Rome (and rest of Italy) from. Staying here, we were forced to used the metro... something I don't think I would have done otherwise, and didn't do the last time we were in Rome. When Americans think of subway, they think "NYC" and this IS NOT the same kind of subway. Everyone uses the metro in Rome and trains in Italy. Once we became masters of the metro, our entire time in Rome was the easy button. Why take a taxi to the Vatican... hop on the metro. Now hop back on and go here and there. It was wonderful! The metro tickets were $24 for the whole week!
We saved SO MUCH MONEY staying at Paola's place that we used our savings in other ways (took a two day trip to the Almafi coast, took a tour trip to Tuscany). The apartment wasn't as perfect as a more expensive hotels or places in the center of Rome... but it was cute and the savings far outweighed any flaws. We would absolutely stay here again and were fortunate to have found this gem. Read more

We had all that is necessary for the researcher of Rome
Our honeymoon was started in Rome, so this quiet, cozy apartment in 5 minutes walk from the metro station for reasonable price was just what we needed (though we had a little lost at first, the owners met us and conducted to the house). Also it was nice to know that we live in a historic building (1927), and to have all modern facilities - an electric stove, a necessary set of ware, wi-fi, TV, and even boxing bag to be in good shape! (some humidity in the basement after rain was removed by air-conditioner).
So we saw a lot of interest places in Rome, and hope to return again. Thank you, Paola and Claudio! Read more

Breve soggiorno a Roma
Cari Paola e Claudio,
Read more

We loved our stay at Paola & Claudio's apartment in Rome, Italy. Very comfortable, easy walk to Metro, restaurants and shops. We liked the Puntos Supermarket where we bought a lot of our groceries. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and always enjoyed coming back to our cozy apartment. Paola was very nice to work with and made our stay very easy and pleasant. Read more

We stayed in this flat for 5 nights in Rome and had a wonderful trip :) The flat is very clean and has everything you need for a short stay. It is also conveniently located near the Ponte Lungo Metro stop which will take you quickly to all Rome's attractions. Paola was very warm and friendly, especially in being very understanding of our later than expected arrival! She was also very willing to help wherever needed, although we found everything to be straightforward, especially with the helpful map she provided with details of nearby restaurants and shops etc.
Overall a great trip with only good memories! Many thanks to you Paola and Claudio! :)

... Et Paola est très sympathique !! Read more

First time in Rome
Apt and Landlords made our trip to Rome a wonderful time.
As a family of 5 we stayed in the lower back apartment. We had a kitchen, 3 beds and a bath.
There was also an enclosed private patio.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable.
One of our sons is 2 meters tall so the ceiling was a bit low for him but the rest of us were comfortable.
It was fairly quiet. We may have made more noise for others, since there were five of us.
The railway is close but was not a bother. And it was fun to hear the church bells.
Paola gave us great directions to places to eat and visit. We walked everywhere; to grocery and restaurants.
To the Colosseum, the Forum, and the Palatine; all in one day, and then to the baths of Caracalla on another.
(Go to the Palatine first and your ticket will get you into the Colosseum as well.)
I had forgotten that we would have our luggage with us after we checked out when our flight left late in the day, but Poala allowed us to leave our luggage with her so that we did not have to drag it around town
and then gave us great directions to the old part of Rome: the baths.
Tell your taxi driver that the street is only a block long. But it can be found on GPS and Google maps.
Paola and Claudio were very hospitable. We had a great stay. Read more

We arrived very late at night and departed very early in the morning on the last day and there were no problems. Flat was nice and calm, with all the ammenities one would need for a few days. Really nice place to hang your hat in Rome
My husband and I just returned from 2 weeks in Rome. We stayed at this apartment and were very happy with it. The owners, Paola and Claudio, were very nice and extremely helpful. They supplied us with answers to all our questions about the area and Paola was very helpful with arranging our taxi back to the airport the day we left. The apartment was clean and comfortable. If there was a negative it was the small bathroom, but since we were out and about most of the time, it wasn't a big issue. The neighborhood was a nice neighborhood. We found a really good butcher, baker and produce market, along with a grocery store thanks to Paola's great directions. We couldn't have asked for better hosts and if we return to Rome and need a place to stay, we'll be sure to contact Paola and Claudio again. Read more

Great apartment, great location
Stayed for four nights with our 8 year old son in Paolas studio apt. Were met by Claudio who gave us all the info we needed for local area and how to get into Rome. Apt is 5 metro stops from Termini which takes 10 mins. If you wish it takes 20 mins to walk to Colesso. Apt has everything you could need - although may be a couple of wine glasses - and is in a great location, bakery on corner is good for nice breakfast cakes/pastries/breads. Cocos pizza is 5 minute walk away and was really good value (approx 35 euros for two starters, three pizzas, ice cream, two large beers and a fanta) and it was really tasty. Paola was really helpful and booked a taxi back to airport for us and kept our luggae in their office so we could have a morning walking around before taxi arrived.
This was our first visit to Rome and we look forward to returning soon as its a fantastic city with so much to see and do. When we return we would love to stay in the apartment again.
Many thanks Paola and Claudio for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Great location, very pleasant owner
We stayed here this September for 5 nights. Location is great, Paola is very warm and welcoming person. This place has more pros: you can reach metro in 10 minutes and bus in 3 minutes. Safe neighborhood. Many local shops, pizzerias, cafes and restaurants.
Cons: for those who like quite places- railway is nearby, so you can hear trains (especially during nights). Shower is in the front of toilet, it's not very convenient. Read more

thank you for your time in writing such a good review for us.

Wonderful vacation apartment!
Our family of 7 stayed for almost 2 weeks in apartments a & B, which are right next door to each other and perfect for our needs. Our teenagers liked having their own space (and bathroom!) and the dining table in our apartment was plenty big enough for us to all eat together comfortably.
We initially found Paola's apartments because of the very reasonable price, but the biggest deciding factor for us was the large number of positive reviews which were very reassuring to us. We are so glad we stayed there! Just as the many other reviewers mentioned, Paola and Claudio are wonderful, we couldn't have asked for better hosts! Paola answered all of my emails very quickly and both she and Claudio were attentive and available if needed during our stay.
The apartments are clean, beds are comfortable, the kitchen met our needs (we cooked most meals in), A/C was nice and the wireless turned out to be essential for planning our daily outings, so we were very grateful for that! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but a very easy walk to the Metro and even closer for the bus. At the beginning of our trip we walked to the Colosseum, which isn't a hard walk but with all the walking we did every day we ended up getting Metro/bus passes which were very convenient and allowed us to pack in even more sightseeing.
We highly recommend a stay in Paola and Claudio's apartments and if we ever make it back to Rome we will check their availability first! Thank you so much Paola and Claudio for your care and concern which helped make our first visit to Rome such a pleasure! We hope to be back some day!

Great for the price!
My daughter and I just stayed in the basement apartment for 6 nights. Very cute and really large enough for the two of us. Wish we had more than one bath towel each and one dish cloth since we were there for so many days but we made do. The electricity cut off every time we tried to use more than one burner on the stove and/or the oven but once again we were able to make do. Maybe with time there will be more helpful items in the apartment like a broom/dustpan, mop, ice cube trays little things you don't think are important until you need them! But overall it was a great little apartment especially for the price! It was the most inexpensive place we stayed during out two week stay in Italy so we were definitely okay with it all. Very clean and Paola was great! Great a/c and great chinese restaurant on the corner!!! Read more

We spent 4 nights in this apartment. It was small from what we were used to, but efficient. It was close to the Metro, and within walking distance to grocery stores, shops and restaurants.
Our only caution is that the toilet is right in front of the shower, so a little awkward for getting in and out.
Otherwise, the owner was very accomodating, and had maps and tour info available for us. Also gave us wi-fi access, which was a bonus. Read more

Wonderful stay in Rome august 17 & 18 2012
We spent 2 nights in this cute little apartment after having spent a week with a large tour group. While the hotels we stayed were very nice and exciting, this place was just what we needed to unwind. The neighborhood was quite and location was great. We had a wonderful dinner not far from the apartment and easy access to the train allowed us to spend the days getting out of the city and seeing other sites.
The apartment was perfect for what we needed: clean, AC (what a blessing)comfortable bed and easy to find. We met Paola at the apartment where she had maps and info to help us get around and she gave us the access code for the Wi-fi (another blessing) I would highly recommend this apartment-we felt like Romans not tourist! This is a wonderful bargain and we would certainly stay here again! Read more

Re: pleasant flat with good local shops/market
We were welcomed warmly by Paola and given plenty of useful local information. She suggested (among other things) a very good local restaurant and a market - with two hobs and plenty of saucepans in the flat we were able to do all our cooking here, and that makes eating out a treat rather than a necessity. (No kettle, though, which would have helped.) The air conditioning in the flat was very welcome (we visited in July). If you're travelling from the train station (Termini) with luggage, take the metro to Re di Roma (rather than walking), particularly if it's hot. The metro service into the centre of town is easy to use (you can select English on the machines that sell tickets) and cheap. You can walk from the flat to St John Lateran cathedral and the ancient appian way - probably best to take the metro for other sites. We had a noisy family nearby (crying/talking when we were trying to sleep), but they quietened down when we asked - and maybe we were just unlucky. The size is fine for a young couple like us, just as long as you don't expect much leg room when you use the loo - if there are more than two people it would be a bit small. Read more

Fantastic, secure apartment - 7 days in Rome!
My daughter (age 24) and I stayed in this apartment for 7 days. It had everything we needed and was very clean, comfortable and secure. Our holiday was more pleasant and enjoyable knowing we could come back to the comforts of home.
The apartment was near many shops and restaurants, a supermarket and a great laundrette, and was only a 5 minute walk away from buses and the metro station (Ponte Lungo) into the city centre!
We would like to thank Paola and her family for all the assistance they gave us while we were there, and a special thanks to Paola's son who waited for us when we arrived very late at night. We would love to stay there again the next time we are in Italy!

Welcoming, convenient, comfortable, spotless, nice amenities; lo
Absolutely great place to hang one's hat. The owners, who clearly take real pride in their homes, have done much to create a wonderful up-to-date space to live in, and totally succeeded. The charming and friendly Paola greeted me on the spot, gave me a tour of the air-conditioned apartment--which would keep me cool and comfortable in the record-breaking heat which hit Rome the day I arrived and never abated--and a wonderful map, carefully annotated, with a list of nearby high points such as fine restaurants, markets, etc. The location, in an historic neighborhood (walk to the sublime San Giovanni in Laterno, for example), is ideal if you wish to avoid touristic trappings and live and shop and worship in a real Roman neighborhood. And yet, by bus or metro you are at the Esquiline Hill or Colliseum in five minutes. The price represents a tremendous value--in Paris, I paid much more for much less--and I cannot overstate the value of this basement apartment, which opens directly onto the flowering courtyard. Bravissimo! Read more

Perfect house for a pleasant and relaxed stay in Rome!
Since the first email, Paola was always available and answered all the emails very quickly and helpfully. This continued when we checked in, as she was very welcoming, showed us a map with everything we needed to know about nearby shops, transports, pizzarias, restaurants etc
The house was very clean and tidy. She left us saying that we could contact her anytime either via mobile or email, and on that same day we had a problem and straight away she fixed it.
Well what else can we say?
We loved the house, the location, which was away from the madness of the city centre but still very close by transport (metro and bus, around 10,15min maximum).
Everything in the house works! Plasma TV, air conditioning (which was essential in the 33'C heat),microwave and the fully equiped kitchen with two gas hobs! We cooked 6 days out of 7 there!! The house is perfect for a couple but could easily fit another couple on the sofa bed.
The surrondings were very safe and quiet.
Paola and Claudio really know how to welcome guests in their cosy house in Rome.
If we return to Rome, we will certainly ask Paola to have us back.

Our wonderful weekend in Rome
My 2 friends and me decided to stay at Paola's comfy apartment for 4 nights in May 2012. We loved that she was very welcoming and kind to us, there couldn't be a better host than her!! She offered us with a map of the area we were staying in, and it was very useful during our stay. She was always there if we needed help or directions. Also, she recommended us a very good breakfast cafe (traditional italian) very close to the apartment, and also one of the best tiramisu shops of Italy.
The area we were staying was Ponte Lungo, it is 5 min walking from the Metro. The center is easily accesible, and it only takes about 8-10 mins to get there with the train.
The apartment was very comfy. Bed lines were freshly washed, and the state of the place was clean. Everything we could ask for we found in the apartment. We also had unlimited access to the internet! The only remark but very trivial, that we would have to use shoes in the apartment, because we would otherwise get our feet a bit dirty. Therefore we recommend Paola that she should tell her cleaning lady to pay more attention to the floor.
I would highly recommend one of her apartments. Staying with Paola made us feel secure and happy (acknowledging that foreign cities can be sometimes puzzling, she helped us feel that everything was reachable and simple).
Thank you very much Paola, and hopefully till next time Read more

Perfect apartment in Rome
We stayed in a very similar apartment that we rented from Paola. It was exactly as she had described it. Instead of a stuffy hotel, we got to feel like we actually lived in Rome.
Paola was kind enough to give us many recommendations from transportation, local restaurants and grocery stores. We loved her recommendations for restaurants- even above any other suggestions we received.
The location was perfect. It was a short walk to the metro or bus stop and it was just far enough out of the center that we were not inundated with tourists.
I would definitely stay here or one of Paola's other properties. Wonderful experience. Read more

many, many thanks also for your time!
We really appreciate your friendly kindness especially the lovely card you left me:)
Best wishes and best regards,
We stayed at this lovely apartment from May 12 to May 19. It's very comfortable place near to a metro station, supermarkets, pizzerias and coffe bars. We finded the adress easy thank's to the owner Paola. She was very helpful and always reacted fast to our questions and needs. The appartment is perfect for two persons (even for two with a kid), there is a nice kitchen fully equiped and in the bedroom you could relax so good that sometimes can wish that in Rome does not have so many things to see :). The bathroom is also nice. During our stay we spend the time between sightseeing at the appartment watching TV, eating good italian food and relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet and you don't hear the noise of the city, even that the appartment is close to the historical center and to the main Rome attractions. We want to say many thank's to Paola and Claudio for their warm hospitality. We strongly recommend the appartment for people who's looking for great place at reasonable price. Read more

Fantastic location and hosts - very highly recommended!
Our hosts Paola and Claudio were extremely friendly and helpful! Upon arrival, Paola provided us with a map and a list of useful information - where we should go for the best pizza, tiramisu, etc, and where the nearest supermarkets, bus stops were. We referred to Paola's information several times when we were lost in Rome! (Thanks, Paola!) She was also extremely helpful when we needed extra amenities. The apartment was well maintained, very spacious and located near a metro station and bus stops. Convenient to supermarkets and great restaurants. Very highly recommended :) Read more

Dear Yuen and Ajita,
i'm really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at our place, it's the best answer to our lovely work.
We do appreciate your review and we hope to welcome you again in a futute.
Many Thanks & Best Wishes,
Paola & Claudio
We stayed at this apartment for a week and it was a really nice place for two. The owner of the apartment, Paola, was very helpful and kind. She could help us with information about different tourist sites, local amenities, and even ordered a taxi for us (thank you!). Paola was always easy to contact, and she was always willing to help.
The apartment is conveniently located close to San Giovanni, and the metro, but still far enough away for a comfortable rest at the end of each day. There are two grocery stores, a market, a bakery, and several restaurants nearby as well. We thoroughly enjoyed having the option of cooking for ourselves or eating out during our time there.
Though not exactly as I would have expected, it was the perfect place for us to stay, and was a good home base with free wifi access. We have no hesitations recommending this apartment for any active people looking for a convenient place to stay. Read more

Cute, quaint and very affordable.
This little apartment was very convenient to the Metro, and nice and close to several very good restaurants and two grocery stores.
The apartment is very clean and nicely maintained. The kitchen was small, but 100% functional and easy to use. The bathroom was also small but we had no problems. The bed is very comfortable, especially after spending all day sightseeing in Rome!
Our hostess Paola gave us many tips and recommendations during our stay, and was very quick to respond to the one question we had when we had forgotten to pack a travel electrical adapter.
Paola recommends the Pizzeria Cocco, which indeed is very good - but if you would like a wonderful food experience, go to Baldus about 4 small blocks away. It's a bit expensive (40E for 2 people, but that included everything), but worth it.
All in all, we would definitely stay with Paola (a fantastic hostess!) and look forward to our next visit! Read more

Hi Howard & Linda,
What a wonderful review, i'm really proud of it!
Many thanks for your stay and for your time:)
We stayed at apartment#11 close to this one and a similar one that belongs to Paola & Claudio. It was a cute apartment at the lower level. We stayed there for 4 days/nights with my family. Overall we found it was a good value for the money we paid, especially since it is in a good location in Rome which is a little walk to the metro, grocery shops and pizzeria's. Paola provided good directions and tips that were useful. Being able to cook our own food was a big plus. It is really good choice for anyone looking for a cheap and reasonable place to stay in Rome for a short time. Read more

Pleasent stay at Rome
We stayed here for 4 days with a kid and i must say that stay was quite good and comfortable in the apartment.
The apartment has a nice kitchen for cooking and the place was near to the metro station(re di Roma).
The apartment is best suited for family with kids and the owners are very good in providing the information about routes about the metro and the super market.
Overall we had a very pleasent and nice stay in rome and would recommend for tourists travelling with kids.

Grazie e a presto,
Great accommodations for frugal traveler
An excellent choice for anyone that is comfortable in a small space, that offers big advantages. All necessities are there for preparing meals, internet access, and rest after a full day of sightseeing. All retail, food and transportation needs are within a few blocks. Main tourist sights are within 30 minutes walking distance, yet the apartment is outside the central tourist zone, which translates into a lower impact on your travel budget. Our hosts, Paola and her husband Claudio were genuinely friendly and helpful, both before and during our stay. I will most definitely be staying there again and have already recommended this spot to those I know will be visiting Rome in the future. Read more

Great value for the price.
The location was great. We were away from the tourist area yet close to the underground station, and there were nice restaurants, bakeries and stores near by with great prices. We stopped each morning at a local cafe for a pastry and cappuccino and then stopped by the bakery for some fresh bread, cheese and sausage to pop in our backpack for lunch. It was only a short walk from there to the metro which gave us inexpensive access to Rome for the day.
The local restaurants were well priced. We could get a litre of wine, an appetizer, pizza or lasagna, and dessert for about 25 euros.
I appreciated how quickly Paola answered all of our emails and her efforts to take care of any thing we needed. She definitely was attentive and wanting to take care of everything. The price was definitely right and I would stay here again.
We stayed here for 5 nights during a cooler period in Rome. At first we found the place a bit damp because the bathroom isn't ventilated and the moisture was coming into the rest of the residence. The second day we opened the bathroom window and got the heat going and it was all great after that. The place was clean, the beds comfortable and the area was very quiet.
The one thing I want to give others a heads up about is how small the space is for the toilet. You basically have your knees pressed up against the wall in front of you when you sit down. If you are tall or large it may be a bit tricky. Personally if I was designing that bathroom I would have put the toilet where the bidet sits.
Overall though, I was very pleased with our experience at this place. Again, great price, clean, with a location that gets you to the rest of Rome easily and quickly.

Fantastic!! We stayed in Rome for New Years in apartment IX, Service was great from the minute we booked the apartment till the moment we left. Paola was very helpful and always contactable, within minutes of sending a text or an email she replied even when we ran into a little trouble and lost the keys to the apartment in the early hours in the morning she sent someone with a new set within 10 minutes. The apartment was very cute and very clean, the bed and recliner leather sofa were very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent the apartment had both heating and air conditioning which was also great. The Ponte Lungo Metro stop was only a few minutes walk away which allows you to reach all the major tourist destinations (Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Colosseum etc...) within minutes probably faster than if you were staying in the city and since we bought tourist tickets for €16 euro each which allow you to use any form of public transport in Rome for a full week including Trams, Metro and Buses we must have used them at least 30 times they are the best thing in the world and public transport is the way to go in Rome especially the Metro. I will highly recommend Easy-Roma to all my friends and will no doubt use them again on my next visit to Rome... Fantastic ! 6 Stars :D Read more

Apartamento y trato perfectos

Cozy and Cute - Perfect for 2! Great Location and Value!
We spent two weeks in Rome at the Easy-Roma apartment, and were very pleased with the entire experience. From the minute we contacted easy-Roma to inquire about the apartment, the communication was excellent. We were given great directions, and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the charming owners, Paola and Claudio.
The apartment was clean, quiet, secure, and the location was really convenient for exploring Rome. The Metro was only a few blocks away, as was a nice, large supermarket. There are small, neighborhood markets for breads, veggies, and meat.
The apartment is a cozy 1-bedroom with an open plan living/dining/kitchen area that works great for 2 people. It's nicely decorated and you can tell the owners gave a lot of thought as to the best way to make the most of a small space. The living area has a love seat/futon and a breakfast bar with 3 stools. The kitchen was also well equipped, complete with a 2-burner gas cooktop and a full-size fridge - a rarity in a short-term apartment!. There was a separate bedroom with a very comfy bed and two large wardrobes. The bathroom was compact and well appointed with fluffy towels and supplies. The sink and bidet are a few steps up. And as other reviewers have noted, the shower and toilet are in close quarters to each other.
Paula and Claudio were a real pleasure and joy to deal with, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We're in our second month of a Round the World trip. Therefore, finding clean, comfortable, good value lodging is important to us, and this apartment met all of our needs nicely. It's great value for money, very cozy, and you get to meet Paola and Claudio - a real bonus!

ciao a presto,
After booking online I received prompt confirmation from Paolo.I e-mailed for instructions on getting from the airport to the apartment which were simple and easy to follow. It was close Ponte Lungo station and easy walking distance to cafes and great shopping precinct. The owner gave us a wealth of information about the local buses and best shopping locations. We had easy access to all the tourist attractions in Rome. The best Pizza I had in Rome was from a restaurant just around the corner. The accomodation was surprisingly large, very neat ,clean and quiet. The weather was fine and hot during our stay so the efficient cooling system in the unit was appreciated. The accomodation is perfect for Tourists who like something homely and not over the top expensive as accomodation usually is in capital cities around the world. If you were not born with s silver spoon in your mouth and you want excellent value for your hard earned money I thoroughly recommend you try it. We arrived late for the check in but Paola was there waiting for us, the place is not in the center of Rome, its a little far away but public transportation si really next to the accomodation (bus, subway, train) the zone is really quiet and you have a few shops around two blocks away. The apartment is really nice, a nice bedroom, kitchen fully equipped, and a nice bathroom. Read more

Comfortable homely stay and a friendly host
It was a nicely done up comfortable apartment (with kitchen) for 2 people. The owners were very friendly, helpful and warm. The apartment is well connected to the city center (Bus no 87 goes to Colloseo and Bus no 649 goes to Termini). A door for the shower cubicle instead of shower curtain would have been convenient.
