We had been given directions from the metro station but they could have been more specific as we were unsure of which street exit to take from the underground.We were greeted by the owner who provided us with good information regarding the neighbourhood. We visited in December and I had made a point of asking how to adjust the temperature yet it didn't seem to make a differnce as the appartment was still a little cold in the evenings.
The thing we enjoyed most about the appartment is that it is indeed very close the the Colosseum. Just a short walk to the end of the street and through a lovley park and there it is.
We had booked the double apartment as we were a family of five traveling with another family of four. Plenty of room and well equipped. I hadn't noticed personally, but our friends did complain that their bathroom and floors were not clean. This was discouraging as our only other complaint was the hefty cleaning fee of 80 euro for the double appartment.Response from Paola & Valerio - 05/08/2013

Hi, I'm sorry that you report that one bathroom was not clean, because the apartment is always cleaned carefully.
In fact we have never received this kind of complaint.
I have to specify that in the cleaning fee (80 euros) are also included towels and linen. -

We came to this rental and needed all three rooms as well as the kitchen area. We split our stay into 2 parts-as we left for 5 days to head to the Cinque Terre. We were leaving from this location then to head to a 12 day Mediterranean Cruise. Paola was wonderful to work with. She was there when we arrived and helped us get settled. She was willing to store some of our luggage while we left for the 5 days and we felt that was very safe.
We loved the location near the metro and St. Peters. Walking to different locations was easy with the map she provided. The kitchen was small but had all we needed.
The apartment is right across the street from the national music orchestra and so we had the pleasure to listen to them practice. Even being on a main street, with the windows closed, you didn't hear the traffic. If you wanted to open them-of course you would hear more of the street traffic, but we are in the city so were ok with that.
There are some local restaurants close that we visited and they were good. We also shopped for some foods and did our own cooking in the kitchen. It was a nice visit for us.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was great.

We went to a wedding in Rome and looked at many sites before finding Marmi's apartment. Its literally steps from the Colloseum, in a great district with Trattorias, a superb wine bar and an Irish bar. A small supermarket is close and has everything you would need. Marmi helped us with a tour guide for the vatican and even booked tickets for us for the Sistine Chapel. She helped us with a car service too. Marmi uses locals to help you with tours and you discover so much more information. Her apartment is lovely, super clean and safe and very secure. I can't wait to take my family to Rome and will definitely call Marmi. She made our trip so stress free and easy. Thanks Marmi!

Six of us (4 adults, 2 kids) stayed here in early September. The location is ideal for touring Rome - not far from either of the metro lines and so close to the Colosseum! Transaction went very smoothly - they were there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment and some advice on the neighborhood. They also arranged airport transportation for us which was nice not to have to worry about, though it was expensive. Apartment was well equipped and spacious, and the neighborhood seemed very safe. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants a very short walk away.
Our only complaints were that the beds we not all that comfortable (though, admittedly, we have very nice mattresses at home so maybe that wouldn't be a concern for others), and when we were getting ready in the morning there didn't seem to be enough hot water. On the last day, they said checkout was 10:30 but arrived at 9:30 to start cleaning. It also would be nice to be able to pay the (large) balance by credit card as we arrived on a Sunday with little chance to get Euros. All in all, though, I would definitely recommend the apartment. -

The apartment was spotless clean on a residential street close to Coliseum. It was a perfect stay for our group of 8 adults. There is a pretty big supermarket nearby. Paola was very pleasant, friendly and reliable.The owners arranged for a car pickup for our group from the airport which was more cost efficient and convenient than taking 2 cabs. I would definitely stay there again!

The appartment is central located and well equipped. We were 8 persons included 2 infants, and we enjoy the space in the total appartment and the intimity in the kitchen for meals. We maybe missed af chair for small children!
The service for rent is quick and without problems.
The rental price is fair in compare to hotels in Roma City
We´ll recoment the appartment - and return.

The location close to Colosseum and other sights convenient to bus and trains. My family and I were so pleased the with the apartment(s), they were clean and inviting, everything you need provided. Apartment was clean, and more than comfortable for the seven people. Six adults and one teenager. Air conditioner worked great. One of the bedrooms backs up to an office, and each morning at 9:00 am was awaken from the activity going on in the office.
Was not close to the train, about a 15 minute walk. Without lugggage not so terrible, but with the luggage I would suggest get a cab. Felt very safe in the apartment. Very secure.
Three of the six adults were robbed in Rome on the train. Tourist need to be extra careful, because the police certainly aren't going to be of any help. Paola seemed a little surprised that my brother-in-law gave the police department the address of the apartment we were staying at.
All in all Paola and Valerio were very helpful in answering all my questions, and always getting back to me as soon as I contacted them. Would recommend this apartment, and certainly would stay there again myself.

I would totally recommend this apartment. The service provided by Paola and Valerio is excellent from the first moment of contact. they every helpfully provided assistance with transport to and from the airport in Rome and were generally very amenable.
The apartment is in an excellent location, it is well maintained and is set out in a convenient and spacious way.
It is very hard to find somewhere with a good location, clean, pleasant and affordable and this apartment is just that. On top of that you get the personal touch which really makes the difference. -

Great location, as close to the colosseum as detailed. Really close to public transport but you can also start your day in Rome from the apartment on foot. We were a family of 6 adults and we all had our own bedding and rooms. Shower and bathrooms were new and kitchen was very well equipped. Valerio was really friendly and super helpful, he even helped with booking taxis from airport. The apartment was really clean, internet worked well and would recommend you staying here as we would stay again. Thank you for a great stay in Roma from Natal & Eleanor. We hope to come back to Roma and eat some more amazing Italian food and see a bit more of this beautiful and ancient city.

Cet appartement est superbe, très spacieux, très confortable, bien équipé, bien chauffé et très propre. Accueil très sympathique de Valerio.
De plus, il est idéalement situé à 2 pas du Colisée, on peut visiter tout le centre de Rome à pied!

Alloggio spazioso, grazioso e confortevole. Ottima posizione per raggiungere a piedi il Colosseo (5-10 min. a piedi) e i mezzi pubblici (metropolitana a 5-10 min. a piedi) fondamentali per visitare città . Personale gentilissimo e a completa disposizione. Roma è stupenda assolutamente da vedere.

Great accomodation for a reasonable price for 7 people. Valerio was very kind with us in everything we needed and the appartment had all our needs covered (specially 2 toilets and 2 kitchens for 7 people). It is situated near most of the important sights of Rome (10 minutes walking from colosseo, for example) and at a walking distance of the main train station of Rome, Termini (15 minutes walking).

The apartment was easy to find and Paola was waiting to give us a very useful orientation. The rooms are reasonably priced and are exactly as they appear in the photos. They are clean, well appointed and accommodated the 4 of us very comfortably.In fact it could have accommodated a much bigger group. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a supermarket within easy walking distance on via Merulana. It is the perfect base from which to enjoy everything the Eternal City has to offer. After our short stay, Paola and Valerio organised a taxi for our departure and, as the next occupancy wasn't immediate, they put us under no pressure to check out. All together an excellent experience and highly recommended!!

Le logement correspond parfaitement à sa description, très joli, bien équipé, beaucoup de charme.
Les chambres sont très spacieuses, appartement idéal pour deux familles avec des enfants ou non.
La situation géographique est excellente, très proche des grands sites historiques et du métro.
Les commerces sont proches et le quartier est très calme et très plaisant.
Je vous le recommande.

Stayed in this lovely apartment with 4 friends for 7 nights. Paola could not have been more helpful, recommedding restaurants, ordering taxis, etc. The location could not be better, about a three minute walk to the Colosseum and with a supermarket and bakery close-by to keep the fridge stocked up! Would definately recommend this apartment (although I would suggest requesting extra towels as we were left with only one set each for 7 nights). Otherwise...Perfect!!!

I traveled here with 6 other college friends and this place was like a palace to us. It was very comfortable, and had more than enough places to sleep. We were kindly greeted at the door when we arrived and everything was explained to us. We needed a few things regarding early morning taxies and such and the staff was happy to take our calls and make the reservations for us. Last but not least the location. Amazing location, a 5 min. walk for the coliseum and a 10 min walk to the metro. We loved this place and if you are traveling with a big group you would be silly not to stay here.

We were made to feel very welcome and the apartment was very well equipped and made us feel at home. The decoration was very tasteful and suited to the eighteenth century floor which reminded us of the uniqueness of Rome. The apartment could not be better located for someone who wants to see the glory of Rome. While it is in a quiet location, it is close to the Forum, the Palatine Hill, the Colisseum and the other favourite sites.

We loved the location of this apartment, which was a great deal for 9 people--my husband and our toddler, his parents, and our siblings and friends. The convenience of being able to have a kitchen for breakfast every morning, walking down to the bakery one block away for pastry, and walking to the tourist sites. Great location and very comfortable apartment!
