The apartment was very nicely decorated, breakfast was minimal (but better than nothing), air conditioning was great after a long day of sight seeing and walking! There were quite a few stairs to climb (for those with knee injuries such as myself). The manager of the apartment was very nice and met us at the train station and took us to the apartment. I don't think he understood our Southern us English very well per responses or non-responses to questions (inquiry for a dinner menu for instance) but he did very well. Public transportation was a bit of a challenge (both consistency and timing of buses) to figure out on our own, but we got to where we need to go and after trial and error for 4 days we finally got the hang of it. The location is not necessarily central but more of a neighborhood experience. Overall we enjoyed our stay .

The owner Evan was very kind, supply us with maps, all the necessary information..The apartment is very beautiful.Everything is new,the bed was comfortable and clean.
Next time me and my boyfriend visit Rome, we definitely go back to B&B30;!

I can highly recommend B&B; 30! Evan and Stefano are so warm and friendly, and so passionate about what they do that they made my stay a truly memorable experience. The whole B&B; is decorated in a charming 1930s style and we were given the wonderful Marlene Dietrich room. It was clean and quiet, beautifully furnished, breakfast was good and we were served an assortment of delicious cakes and biscuits! Our hosts were very helpful with directions and information about restaurants and public transport. Thank you Evan and Stefano!

Where to start? This B&B; experience may have been the best I've ever had! While B&B30; is, without a doubt, an elegant and charming place to stay, it is also extremely comfortable and fun. The facilities are lovely and the hosts are even lovelier!
There is no doubt the B&B; is breathtaking when you walk in the front door as it is awash with 30s style and elegance. I stayed in the Marlene Dietrich room with the ensuite bathroom and this room exudes rich charm; however, it is not at all stuffy or unapproachable.
And as for my host, Evan is relaxed and approachable. Evan is a lovely fellow who is interested in making an unforgettable B&B; experience for his guests. He is fun to talk to about tourist plans and experiences, and he is completely concerned about his guests' experiences.
As a comparison, I had stayed at an apartment in downtown Florence before I moved on to Rome. It was undoubtedly convenient to be very close to the downtown area, but also very noisy with both traffic and people noises. If you want to wake up to the joyful sounds of twittering birds instead of bemoaning the fact that you forgot your earplugs, then B&B30; should be your first choice. While it is not downtown, it is extremely easy to navigate the bus/tram connections and you will end up in a central downtown location in a short time. Conversely, it is definitely a walkable distance from the B&B; to the downtown area.
Every morning, a new breakfast experience waits, whether it is delicious cheese and ham or a plethora of sweets from tarts to cakes, or yogurt and fruit and always delightful coffee or tea.
What I liked the best? Evan's thoughtfulness. I stayed there over New Years and he left a bottle of Prosecco and a champagne flute for me with a lovely note: Happy 2012 for B&B30.; Just fabulous!
What I liked the least? Leaving!

Ho soggiornato al B&B; 30 due gg. per motivi di lavoro. Appena entrata mi è sembrato subito d'essere a casa: un ambiente accogliente, luminoso, pulitissimo. Ogni stanza è dedicata ad una diva degli anni '30 (Marlene Dietrich/Greta Garbo), arredata con cura e dotata di tutti i servizi necessari ed anche di più (es. connessione Wi-Fi gratuita e televisore HD a schermo piatto con digitale terrestre).
La zona (sulla Portuense, a 10 minuti da Trastevere) è tranquilla,ottima la qualità del sonno. Al mattino è disponibile un'abbondante colazione personalizzabile e ci si può preparare un buon caffè in qualsiasi momento della giornata.Ho usufruito anche di altri servizi a richiesta e ho pranzato in ottimi locali consigliati personalmente dal proprietario, molto cortese e disponibile. E' stata una permanenza piacevole e certamente tornerò quando si ripresenterà l'occasione.
