FloridaHighlights of our apartment stay
Left on 06/01/2013 for a stay in May 2013
This was my first time renting an apartment for vacation (as opposed to a hotel), and my first time in Rome. Needless to say, I was a little nervous about how the accommodations would work out. But with this property and andrea, the owner, everything was above and beyond what I expected. Here are my highlights:
1. In my traveling party, there were 4 adults. Andrea arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport for a fee just about equal to taking public transit. This made it so convenient, and we were dropped off at the property door.
2. Andrea was a picture of hospitality. During the booking process, he was helpful and responsive via email. He also met us in person at the apartment to answer any questions, and continued to help throughout our stay if we needed him. He even created a recommendation pamphlet.
3. The place looks just like the pictures - except bigger in person. It was clean and comfortable. It was also kind of fun to pretend we were living like a Roman; the place really did feel like a home.
4. The location is just a short walk from the Vatican. It felt like a safe, clean neighborhood. There was a metro station not too far away, which allowed us easy access to the other sites. You could also walk to the Spanish Steps area, if you don't mind a little bit of a hike.
5. We felt the value was excellent. The price per night for the 4 of us was less expensive than staying at a hotel.
Overall, I would stay at this place again and would highly recommend it to any traveler.Response from Andrea Zamparelli - 06/06/2013

Plano TXBeautiful large apartment with perfect location
Left on 05/30/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We rented 2 nights from andrea on our pre-cruise stay. The apartment is more than we expected . It is so roomy and super clean .Two large bedrooms with 2 separate good size bathrooms, a nice kitchen with all the things you need for making breakfast , including a dishwaher and washing machine. The family room has a TV with italian channels only plus many different books. The large foyer has many guides and informations prepared by andrea . He even have a pre-paid cel phone for us to contact him if needed. I used it twice to reach him and once to call my cab company.
Being at the 3rd floor, street noises are kind of unoticible with window closed ( A/C is very good )
The day we arrived, Andrea couldn't come to meet us, but he did email us beforehand to inform his friend will take his place. The lady was very gracious and answered all our questions and gave us all the informations we need to know about the place .
The location is so perfect. There is an indoor market with many booths selling fresh fruit vegetable, all kind of cheese and ham and freshly baked bread which opens at 7 am.
( Walk out of the building, go left and turn left at the corner. Go one short block and it's accross the street) . There are also couple small supermarket near by as well.
The place is only 5+ minutes walk to the Vatican and the metro. There are plenty of eating places and shops and street vendors along the way.
It's much much better than hotel and cost less, plus you feel kind of at home, preparing some egg and ham breakfast before heading out.
I definitely recommend this placeResponse from Andrea Zamparelli - 05/31/2013

Perth, AustraliaLovely apartment in a Great Location
Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My wife and I, and our son & daughter in law, stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in april. Andrea was really helpful from our initial enquiry through to our arrival. He arranged our airport pick-up and was waiting at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment is on the 3rd floor - you can squeeze into the small elevator or walk up the marble stairs. Andrea's notes on local shopping, restaurants and transport was appreciated. The only thing that wasn't provided was a tourist map of Rome - a very minor criticism.
The photos of the apartment on Tripadvisor are accurate and, if anything, the apartment seems bigger than we expected. It was comfortable and well set up with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious and beds were firm but we slept well, especially after we closed the window shutters. One reason we chose this apartment was because it had two bathrooms; both were fine although I had expected one was an ensuite. One bathroom is next to the larger bedroom and the other bathroom is virtually opposite the smaller bedroom. Everything, including the dishwasher and washing machine, worked in the kitchen and there was sufficient glasses, plates, cutlery, etc.
Saint Peter's/ the Vatican Museum, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Metro and trams, and a choice of restaurants are all +/- 5 minutes walk away. You can walk to the heart of Rome (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc.) in around 30 minutes or you can catch a bus from outside the apartment. One night we had an enjoyable dinner at Sorpasso (~€70 for the 4 of us including wine) and then had drinks at the bar next to the apartment. -

This apartment is perfect for families. It is spacious and comfortable and the owner is incredibly helpful. He even provides a list of local restaurants, as well as, directions to the major attractions. He even provides a basic mobile that you can top off for local use. Basic necessities are also provided when you arrive (soap, basic cooking supplies). We chose to let our children have the bedroom while we slept on the pull out sofa. I can't speak for the beds, but the pull out sofa was incredibly comfy. Andrea even had it made up for us when we arrived. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is 1) sleeping in would be difficult, because the window shades only filter the light and their is street noise. That said, I doubt this would be too much of a problem for most people, because one would probably be getting up early for tours, etc. anyways. The street noise was not abnormal. However, if one has small children who needs to nap or have a hard time sleeping, these issues might pose a problem. Also, I did have an issue with the hot water running out, but this came on the heels of running the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time. This issue only happened one night out of 3. Overall, a very good stay - extra kudos to the thoughtfulness of the owner.

Look no further - great price!!! - Andrea made our transfer arrangements to and from the airport & ship. He can personalize your trip with private guides. We loved the contemporary apartment, especially the Ikea mattresses and king size beds. Spacious rooms. Two bathrooms (one had a shower, the other a shower/tub) meant we didn't share and, when traveling with others, there would be no wait. Bus stop outside the door. Metro 2 short blocks away. Yummy Gelato shop nearby. WiFi. Lots of closet space to hang up clothes. Washer. Air conditioner and great heat as it was chilly & rainy for our January stay. Swell local restaurant on the next block where all the young career folks gather for wine & cocktails plus incredible Italian food after work. Super location for photographing the bridges at night. Elevator to your front door. Maybe 5 steps up from the street plus 5 steps up to the landing. Easy even with a sore traveler's feet (our ages 61 & 69)! We would rent at this location for months at a time. Andrea is so accommodating and friendly; he makes it all so easy and worry free. Stay here!

My famiy stayed here in late June 2012 and we can't express how happy we were in this beautiful apartment. It was spacious and in a wonderful location in Vatican City just a couple of minutes walk to the Vatican. The central air conditioning was a blessing in the hot weather and the apartment was very clean. As there were 5 of us, having two bathrooms was an added bonus. We have recommended this apartment to our friends and would definetely stay here again. Thank you so much andrea for being such a terrific host.

The apartment has a great location close to the Vatican and an ideal place for a Rome city break. Andrea welcomed us and was most helpful during our stay. The apartment is quiet with double glazing to keep out the road noise and good air con, which we needed, it was 40c degrees.
Close to trains, shopping, good local eating places and supermarkets.
We would certainly go back! -

London, England, United KingdomThe perfect place for our weekend
Left on 05/29/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I booked this apartment having spotted it on Tripadvisor and getting a very speedy response to my enquiry. The key things that attracted me intially were the pictures of the apartment (clean and spacious), the location and the price versus other places I had seen. Andrea, the owner, confirmed availability and answered all my questions thoroughly, which reassured me I had made the right decision even though it had yet to be rated by other travellers.
As our stay approached, Andrea emailed me a guide to the apartment, the local area, some restaurant recommendations and confirmation of local amenities such as transport and supermarkets. This excellent service continued throughout our stay, with andrea meeting us on arrival, making sure we had everything we needed. The only thing missing, which we found out after andrea left us to settle in, was a bottle opener. But a quick email on Friday evening using the free wifi meant we had a brand new one delivered on Saturday morning.
The apartment itself is really spacious and the pictures don't do it justice. There was plenty of room for the three of us, but it would have easily have slept 6 without feeling cramped. The location was ideal, a few minutes from St Peters Square, ten mins to the Vatican museum entrance and 30mins walk across the River Tiber to the centre - a lovely stroll that takes in the Castel St angelo, which is really near the apartment too. The only slight downside to the location was that we were on a main road, so if you are a light sleeper the sounds and lights of passing traffic may disturb you. Although it's nothing that a long day sightseeing and some good Roman wine shouldn't help you overcome.
We found some great restaurants nearby including Porta Catello and arlu, although you could cook in if you wanted.
Overall, we had a great stay and the fab service was topped off when we arranged a late check out with andrea in line with our flight times and his mum (who cleans the apartment) dropped us off at the taxi rank using her own car.
