Located on the left bank of the river Tiber, Testaccio is one of the most ancient neighborhoods of the capital. The apartment is located in a very central part of the city and all major points of interest are easily reachable on foot or by public transport due to meters B and numerous bus routes. The name derives from testaccio so-called "upstream" (Bishop Testaceus): 35 meters of debris (testae, in Latin), and various debris, accumulated over the centuries as a residue of transport that were headed to the big port of Ripa (Emporium). In the area there are numerous restaurants, pubs, clubs, gardens and famous places of interest.

This was a great little home for my small family. It was probably more like 20 mins from the Metro station but an easy walk to make. Andrea was very helpful with maps, places to eat, finding a supermarket and a pharmacy to get items for our youngest baby. The photos on the websites are a very accurate description of the apartment.
Thank you for making our visit to Rome awesome! If we ever come back we hope to be able to rent your place out again. -

This wonderful Rome apt. was located in a quieter (an important feature!) residential area with easy access to sites by bus or on foot. A corner mini-mercado is very close by, so acquiring essentials for meals was so easy! Several small restaurants are also located in close proximity.
The apt. is a comfortable "home" and very well kept. The kitchen is well appointed and very user friendly.
Andrea, the owner, is a terrific "landlord"!! He is very helpful and attentive...and loaded with important sightseeing tips. The welcome basket with fresh fruit plus a bottle of wine was a great touch and genuinely appreciated. Thank you for everything, Andrea!! Our stay at the Old Mkt Suite was a nice experience while visiting Rome. The neighborhood is nice, mainly residential. The apartment is located in a quiet road and has one restaurant around the corner as well as some supermarkets at a walking distance. But beware of time. If you need to buy anything, you better do it before 7pm (generally).
Piramide metro station is not around the corner but is at an acceptable distance (10-15 minutes walking).
Andrea Rossi, our landlord, has been very kind and fair regarding arrangements before and during our stay. The flat is cosy, clean and luminous. Definitely good value for money in a nice flat close to main roman touristic attractions. -

Perfect location for a very reasonably priced stay ,in Rome . We travelled with teenagers , the apartment had everything we needed , and was very close to all the bus / metro stations . Within a reasonable walk , you were at the Colloseum . Andrea , met us at the apartment and arranged our travel to and from the airport . He helped us , when we wanted to book bus tours in Rome . He was easily contactable by email , and responded very quickly . There is free wi fi in the apartment . We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it without hesitation .

Andrea kept in contact with us prior to our arrival (emails). He even warned us that on the day of our arrival there was a planned transit strike. He quickly made arrangements to pick us up (recognizing us by shirts and hats) and drive us to his apt. This was extremely fortunate for us since we got a persoal tour of the area. The apt has a young feel, updated bathroom and laundry. There is lots of room - enough for at least 3 people to live there comfortably for a week or two. Between the Train station and his apt we saw the Cemetary where Yates is burried and the Pyramid. He pointed out which streets were closed to traffic on the weekends (pedestrian traffic only). His apt is a few blocks off the Tiber River and a bit south of the Colloseum- in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Wonderful gellatto and pizza just down the street.

We highly recommend this apartment. It is clean, lovely, fabulous location away from the tourism of Rome. The neighborhood is terrific. with easy access to everything from food to transport. And so easy to walk from the apartment to the other side of the river, old Rome and other wonderful sites. The host is wonderful and helpful.

We found Old Market Suite at the last minute before our trip to Rome and were impressed with andrea's flexibility and helpfulness - our flight arrived fairly late in the evening and not only did he organise a car to collect us and bring us to the door, as requested, but he was waiting to let us in, show us around and give us all the information needed.
The flat was immaculate, with modern fixtures and very good facilities. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. The kitchen area was well equipped with everything we needed. The whole flat felt airy and spacious. The wifi was reliable.
The only negative was the few mosquitoes we accidentally let into the main room one night by leaving the windows open too late - use the aC if you are staying there in summer!
Maps of the local and wider area are provided. A supermarket is just round the corner with all you might need to self-cater. The bus stops were just a short walk down the road; the metro station was a little further at about 10-15 minutes walk away but still quite easy to find. We also walked to the Circo Massimo and Colosseum very easily, and the Old Town area was only 40 minutes walk away for those who are up for it.

L'appartamento è molto bello e pulito.. dotato di quasi tutte le comodità! Dall'appartamento si raggiungono facilmente a piedi il Colosseo e l'altare della Patria e le zone dei locali; intorno ci sono tantissime trattorie dove si mangia benissimo. Il proprietario dell'appartamento si è dimostrato gentilissimo, dandoci tanti ottimi consigli.

We found Old Market Suite after one week searching apartments in Roma Without any luck, and that was lucky!
The apartment is lovely, beautiful, absolutely well decorated and is in Testaccio, the perfect neigbourhood: silent to sleep and great to walk and know the city (and if you are not a walking person is a stop bus just a 2 block from Old Market Suite), plus is near to restaurantes, tratorrias, pubs.
Andrea, was another good surprise! A really nice person, he picked up us at the train station, and drove to the apartment. When we opened the door we could not believed: beside the beauty of the place whe found 2 welcome gifts: Fresh Flowers and a bottle of red wine.
We're sure we will be booking again. And we already recomended the apartment to a some friends and family.
