Via del Babuino is in the heart of the Campo Marzio area, one of the oldest in Rome.
So old, so new. Now Via del Babuino is full of shops, restaurants and cafes.
At the same time there are galleries, museums, monumets, all within walking distance.

If walking is not your cup of tea, bus stops and 2 metro stops are within a 5 minutes walk.
Being located in the very centre of Rome, the area is restricted to general circulation, and only residents , as well as public transport, have access to the streets.
I would not recommend anybody driving in Rome, but if you are really willing to try the thrill of it, a private parking, built right below Villa Borghese, is very convenient from the apartment.

We staid here in March 2013. The location was great but a little bit poshy. The apartment is cute and comfortable as well as nicely furnished with cute details. The terrasse is great with complete furniture. There is sun most of the day on the terrasse. The Host is very nice and allowed us to stay longer until evening as new guests arrived later. Wifi works perfectly - better than at home!
The nicest detail: we got fresh flowers in the bedroom and living room!
To sum up: we will recommend the apartment and come back next time! -

The apartment is hidden away behind the hustle and bustle of the main street running between the Spanish steps and Piaza del Popolo. Perfect location for sight-seeing yet sitting on the terrace you would never know. There is a well-stocked supermarket, a deli and a wine shop within walking distance and an abundance of restaurants.
The apartment itself has everything you could possibly need. It is beautifully but simply decorated.
The owners are very genuine and managed to organise everything for my last minute request. Even down to fresh flowers.
The only downside would be that anyone who is not fully mobile would find the steps up to the apartment difficult.
A true gem. I'll be back.

I have stayed at this apartment on several occasions over the past few years and absolutely love it there. The apartment is beautiful and in an amazing central location.
If visiting in the summer months it is a pleasure to sit on the terrace in the evening.
I would highly recommend a stay here during any visit to Rome. The owners are helpful and friendly.
I return to the apartment everytime I holiday in the city and always have a truely enjoyable stay.
