What better way to see Rome than from an apartment right in the center? Not only is this Rome rental apartment within easy walking distance of most of Rome's major sights, it is surrounded by delis, cafes, and restaurants. If you tire of eating out, get some fresh vegetables from the market down the street at Campo dei Fiori and prepare your own Italian feast!
This apartment is located in a historic 18th century building served by an elevator. The building dates back to medieval times, with its foundations on the walls of Pompey's theatre, however the building was totally restored in 1996. The narrow streets around Piazza Campo de' Fior...i contain simple houses and austerely noble palaces standing side by side in quiet harmony. There is a fresh fruit and vegetable market every morning in the Piazza.

Our experience was positive. We enjoyed having an apartment versus a hotel because it enabled us to sit all together in the privacy of our living room and also to have a kitchen.
The location was the best! Charming street, no car access and right down the street from Campo dei Fiori. A great market.
The area was more upscale than other parts of Rome. There were coffee shops and resturants right out of our door along with the market down the street.

Very good. The living area was large enough.
Location was fantastic. We walked everywhere we wanted to go.
The market and restaurants were good. Across the Tiber to Trastevere was close--best restaurants were there.

Its proximity to the Campo dei Fiori is very convenient.
Its location and proximity to shopping, restaurants and historical sites.
The furniture is worn and needs replacement, particularly in the living room. The kitchen was not as functional as we expected, i.e. a two-burner stove top and a very small coffee maker. The second bedroom is small and may accommodate young children but is inadequate for a married couple or two adults, in my opinion.
Shopping venues, restaurants, tabbachi and fruit and flower markets, all within easy walking distance.

The property was in an excellent location. We were within walking distance of the many restaurants at the Campo de Fiori and also the Piazza Navona.
We walked to almost every sight we intended to see except for Vatican City. The apartment was also roomy and spacious enough. The person who gave us the key was very friendly and punctual. He also spoke perfect English, which was a big plus. The directions for all of the appliances were also a big help, since some European appliances are difficult to use
The apartment was a little darker than I would have liked, but better lighting could fix this.
Since some of the people in our party were in their early twenties, we liked the fact that the area was quite lively at night. Even though we were close to the action, the noise wasn't really a problem for me and my husband. I also liked the fact that there was shopping and restaurants right out the front door.

Location. Loved the fact that the market was right down the street and most of the sites in Rome were within walking distance.
The kitchen was a bit challenging for cooking dinner, but we went out for dinner every night, so it didn't really matter.
The market and walking to the sites.

The location is FANTASTIC if you want the feel of the city of Rome. You are walking distance to most of Rome's attractions. The property managers and the landlord were MOST accommodating and helped us in every way possible!!
The location. The proximity to all sites but in particular the Campo de Fiori was excellent.
The street entry door.....lots of grafitti, but most othere doors were the same.

Considering this property is in a building dating back to near the 1400s, it was very nice. You cannot expect it to be like home, but the spacious area is much better than a hotel room in my opinion, and one can really get the flavor of the country. Also, there is a great market right up the street which sells the best fruit and vegetables!
The location of this property is the best. Truly everything is within walking distance and there is a lot of activity and cafes to enjoy. It was also very nice to have a family room area where we could all sit and make plans and talk about the day.
The floors were dirty not to look at, but walking on them gave us black sticky feet.
The area was not full of just tourists. We were able to meet locals and find out the places they go to for a real Italian experience.

The apartment was very nice, clean and quiet.
Great location, an easy walk to many historic sites, close to many nice eateries and a stone's throw to the Piazza del Campo.
The kitchen is a bit awkward and really isn't outfitted to cook real meals, but with all the restaurants that are available, who cared...

The location is fantastic. Check out the American bar down the street. It will make you feel right at home in a foreign country.
The location at the Campo de Fiori
There was nothing not to like.
The convenience to getting to all the tourist places. The taxi stand was a 5 minute walk from where we were staying. All the places we went to were about 10 Euros for the ride.

We would stay there again.
Great location for seeing all of Rome's sights. Very comfortable apartment. Good beds, Good air conditioning.
The tile floors are hard to keep clean. The upholstered furniture in the living room needs to be steam cleaned - nice furniture, but needs a simple cleaning. The bathrooms were clean.
Eveything you need is steps away.

Location, location, location! The apartment is just up the narrow, cobblestone street from the Campo dei Fiori and is an very short stroll to the Piazza Navona. The daily market at the Campo was wonderful for purchasing our daily fruits and vegetables, and for the food and paper products we couldn't find there, the little supermarket around the corner was so very handy. We walked to many places in Rome, and for those places we didn't walk to, we were able to hail taxis right at the end of our street. One of my favourite memories of the apartment will be of leaning out the window and watching this part of Rome come to life every morning.
After lots of confusion with the address, I finally called the local agent and he promplty met us at the apartment building and all was straightened out.
The convenience to the many attractions of Rome, but even more importantly, the daily comings and goings of folks in the Campo area. The Campo was alive with people from morning til night, and Piazza Navona was even livelier.

Great location. Apartment was well-stocked, with appropriate kitchenware, more than enough bathroom towels, etc. The apartment was comfortable. It was very nice to have access to a phone.
The apartment was noisy, even though the windows have double-paned glass, and it is a pedestrian-only street. Also, the air conditioning wall units had a hard time keeping up with the heat wave. The washer sort of worked, but left clothes wet.
So much to do in the surrounding area Rome! We walked to many areas of Rome. It was a great location!

We loved this apartment for the location, size, convenience and interesting architectural details. We will stay here again.
The location and layout. The bedrooms are in the back of the apartment, which makes it very quiet at night.
The Campo dei Fiori market and almost all the sights are within walking distance or a short Metro ride. There are any number of places to eat, sit and have a drink, people watch, shop.

The apartment was very spacious and also provided a nice, quiet respite. The beds were very comfortable, even the sofabed in the living room had a far better design than American sofabeds. Both bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen was also well equipped. The location couldn't be better.
The stove and oven are a bit small if you really wanted to cook, but that's hardly a complaint.
Easy walking distance to just about everything you'd want to see in Rome.

The two bedrooms were as quiet as tombs They are in the back of the apartment, away from the street noise. Beds were comfortable and cozy. The fold-out bed in the living room was very comfortable. Even though I heard the sound of nightlife all night while sleeping in the living room, musicians, dogs fighting, drunken singing, street cleaning machinery, I actually slept well.. If you are sensitive to noise, sleep in the back bedrooms or wear ear plugs in the living room or adopt a sense of humor.
I loved the location. We could walk to most places we wanted to see. The market at Campo di Fiori was so close and ever-changing. All of the clothes shopping we wanted to do could have been done right on our own little street.
The only complaint was from my nieces, 19 and 23, because the blow dryer in the bathroom just kind of whispered, so it took a long time to get dry. Lots of pouting about bad hair until we found an Italian blow dryer in a local grocery store. We were intimidated by the washing machine and avoided using it until we couldn't stand our towels anymore. It only holds two of the bath towels at a time and it took all day to wash and dry them - well, they never actually did dry!! Maybe a second set of towels would be preferable to washing our own.
Internet cafe nearby. Grocery store nearby. Great shopping right outside the door.

It's location is perfect and the apartment is well appointed and very comfortable. Also it has more closet space than most homes!
Not enough linens.
Everything! The Campo de Fiori market and the proximity to buses and the sites was just excellent.

We could not have been happier. It really help make our stay in Rome a memorable one.
The location!! You coudn't find a better situated spot. We were within walking distance to the Forum in 15 minutes, Pantheon in 10 minutes , Coliseum in 25 minutes, Vatican in 25 minutes, and the Piazza Navona in 10 minute. Great street to be on. A wonderul place.
I honestly can't think of anything. I could probably come up with somthing minor, but that would not reflect what a great experience we had.
Everything! Pastry shops, morning market, restaurants, central location...
