      Roman Holiday - Angelina

Left on 12/12/2012 for a stay in November 2012

My family spent Thanksgiving 2012 in Rome. One of the best decisions we made for our trip was to stay at the angelina. This apartment was perfect for our family of three (2 adults and 1 fifteen year old). The apartment was elegantly furnished and well stocked with all of the bathroom and kitchen supplies we needed for our week stay. The rooftop terrance was wonderful and we used it almost every evening for cocktails or a light dinner.
We were met by a wonderful hostess who did an excellent job showing how the appliances worked and describing the surrounding shops. There is a grocery store very near by (turn left out the front door, take first left on the next corner, walk about 1 and half blocks). It had every thing we needed for snacks, breakfast, etc. We bought our "Italian" Thanksgiving meal there. You should know that the grocery store only takes cash, no credit cards.
The location was perfect and due to the nice weather we walked amost everywhere.
We were so grateful that we did not book a hotel room for our stay. The apartment really enhanced our italian experience. We have already recommended this site to several of our friends and would use it again.

Italy Perfect were brilliant to deal with - Pat Byrne replied to emails very quickly which gave us confidence when organising from the other side of the globe.

Met by Elvie as pre arranged and she was just gorgeous - had arranged some basics, milk, juice, bottled water, coffee, biscuits, etc before we arrived. Made us coffee and showed us everything we needed to know in the apartment and then where local supermarket, Pizzaria, Gelato and Cafe's were (all the things you want when holidaying in Italy)

As for the apartment - talk about central location, 5 min Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain, 15 min to Colosseum or St Peters.
The apartment is as outlined on website, it is s very comfortable, main bedroom and a loft with a double bed, found beds to be very comfortable. Nice size living area and a lovely bathroom. There are 2 x balconies with the top one having lovely views to St Peters.

We stayed in 3 apartments in three cities in 3 weeks and this was by far the best.
I cannot speak highly enough of this apartment or italy Perfect other than to say we will be back

We were met by Elvi when we arrived at the angelina apartment. She was most gracious and helpful. The apartment was exactly as described on the Italy Perfect web site. It is spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and a very comfortable queen bed. The bathroom is very modern and roomy. You can enjoy breakfast or afternoon wine on the balcony that is just off the living room, or choose the rooftop terrace that is up the winding stairway. This apartment is in the best location in Rome. It is within a short walk to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and many wonderful restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our friends traveling to Rome.

A Perfect Place to Explore Rome Oct 2012

Left on 10/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012

The angelina was a highlight of our trip to Rome. Perched above the bustle of the area, it was so quiet and peaceful. The 2 terraces made breakfasts and evenings an enchantment.

The apartment was large and elegant with a lovely bathroom and usable kitchen. And the location was fantastic. Right in between the Trevi Fountain and the non stop carnival that is the Spanish Steps, the apartment was an oasis of calm. It is close to major bus lines and between 2 subway stops (Barbarino and Spanish Steps). There are so many gorgeous shops and cafes to explore within 5 minutes of this location. And a very fine grocery store/supermarket is literally around the corner with meats, vegetables, cheeses, fruit, snacks and wine.

The information that Italy Perfect provided was personal and precise. They couldn't have been more gracious and helpful with tips and advice prior to our trip. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Rome!

Perfectly located, well appointed, comfortable, air conditioned

Left on 08/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Angelina is a beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome. Strategically situated between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, this place is in the heart of the action. We are a couple traveling with our 8-year old daughter. She loved her room, located in the loft above the living area/kitchen. Our bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect and very welcome on the hot august days. We loved the balcony outside the living area and the rooftop terrace. Elvi greeted us graciously and had the refrigerator stocked with some welcome items, like milk, juice, coffee, sugar, and breakfast biscuits. The recommended driver, Stefano, was prompt, dependable and efficient. The apartment is located next to many great restaurants, and the grocery store is just around the corner. There is a taxi stand in the piazza near the Spanish Steps, and we always found cabs waiting there. There is a Metro stop at the Spanish Steps and a bus stop that is even closer. It is an easy walk to Villa Borghese, where our daughter loved to ride the rented rickshaws. It is also within easy walking distance of Piazza Novona, Campo di Fiori, and the Pantheon. This apartment has everything. It is well managed and the location is fabulous. We highly recommend it!

From the time Stefano picked us up from the airport till he returned us a week later everything was perfect as promised. Our greeter Elvie was waiting to show us all the features of the apartment which she did with great enthusiasm & genuine warmth. All the extras such as milk, juice, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. were a lovely surprise, rarely provided in other apartments. The Spanish Steps area is so central that we were able to walk to many of the major sights including the Borghese Gardens & Galleria, a must see (be sure to book). Our favourite restaurant in Rome is Da Francesco in the Piazza del Fico (off Piazza Navona).

Have already recommended Italy Pefect to friends & can't wait to experience our London Perfect apartment in a couple of months.

We have rented many apartments in Europe over the years and this is our best one yet. Thanks Pat.

To be in Rome was a dream come true, to stay in the angelina apartment completed it. Elvi greeted us with a smile, then explained everything from the door locks to the washing machine (open the curtains and let the sunshine dry your clothes)The rooftop terrace was a great spot for watching the sunset over St Peter's with a vino or two.We never used public transport (but the bus stop is around the corner also) and found that by walking to The Vatican (30minutes) and also the Colossseum/ Forum(30minutes) we saw so much more. The Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain were around the corner. A good supermarket(with a wine shop) was in the next block, as was so many cafes/restaurants. We organised Stefano as our driver and he was on time ,everytime and our daytrip with him to Tivoli was perfect. A Roman born and bred, with so much pride. I have already recommended Italy Perfect to friends. You can believe the photos...it is, that good!

As beautiful as the apartment looks online, it is even better in person. We arrived to find it spotlessly clean, stocked with all the essentials for our stay and complete with all the small touches to make us fall in love with it. Everything from the decor to the towels and bed linen have been thoughtfully chosen. The apartment is on a busy street yet is very quiet. Our greeter Elvi was a gem and a joy, she made us feel completely at home and that we were no longer alone in a strange country.
I've booked other apartments online and Italy Perfect has been miles above and beyond the rest. From the quality of the apartment, to the friendly and helpful service, this has been the smoothest and best rental I've experienced. Many thanks Pat for adding treasured memories to our vacation in Rome We'll be back...

      Excellent vacation rental!!

Left on 04/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We used Italy Perfect. They provided good service/advice. The instructions were clear. Everything went very smoothly. We booked the night before our early arrival so that we could get right into the apartment.

Upon arrival, we were greeted at the street by Elvi. She's very cheerful and made us forget all about jet lag. She went over things in the apartment and she had some supplies already stocked up for us. She had fresh fruit, juice, milk, an Easter cake, coffee, and some other basics. She made us some coffee, and then took us on a tour of the neighborhood. Before we knew it she had us at the Spanish Steps and eating gelato! She made us feel very comfortable in the apartment, and like we were already her friend and a friend of the owners. This made a very big difference in the overall experience. Elvi is a treasure!

The apartment is very nice. Nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable, all very clean and smells nice. Everything we needed was available down to extra pillows, toiletries, and batteries. We enjoyed watching the street scene from the balcony and having afternoon snacks on the roof top terrace.

We felt very safe in the building and in the neighborhood. The building is well-kept and clean. The elevator works well, nice and fast. The apartment is very quiet, being on the top floor. We all slept well.

The apartment is in a great location. Convenient to the grocery store just down the street, lots of good restaurants in the area, good shopping, and easy walking to all of the key sites in Rome. We walked all over the city from here from Piazza Del Popolo in the North to Caracalla and Trastevere in the South. We got to know the city very well and got a good flavor of the various neighborhoods.

We are very happy with angelina and hope to return another time. Many thanks to the Zadotti family for sharing this great place.

Second stay at this apartment and fourth with Italy Perfect. Everything was fine, as always. The apartment has been freshly painted. Ate so much (as usual) could not possibly do much justice to the enormous chocolate covered creme-filled panettone that was left for me. Appreciated the various beverages in the fridge. Used the washer again-- very easy to use, if you follow the instructions. The bedroom is very quiet. From the terrace watched an increasingly frustrated young man let the air out of someone's tires-- car had been parked in his spot. The newsagent by the church has an amusing poem posted in Roman dialect warning evening revelers not to use his kiosk as a bathroom. Area is convenient, plenty of places to eat, a supermarket two minutes away. Plenty of everything-- except time. The recommended transfer service of Mr Repertorio was also very helpful.

The angelina apartment is charming in so many ways! The space was perfect for our party of 3, well and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was simply tremendous. A few streets to the Spanish Steps in one direction, a few more to the Trevi Fountain in the other, and so much else within walking distance I don't know where to begin. The terrace is wonderful (wave hi to the people across the way, they are very nice) and the rooftop deck is so wonderfully peaceful, it is quite an oasis amidst the hustle of bustle of Rome. I would go back in a heartbeat!

      Luxury accommodations In Great area?

Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We had stayed in an apartment managed/owned by Paris Perfect, which was wonderful. In thinking about Rome, we knew that there was Italy Perfect and definitely wanted to check it out. We worked closely with Lisa Byrne, co-owner of Italy Perfect, to find a property that met our needs. We were extremely pleased with angelina. It is located in a wonderful part of the city, only a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. The apartment was nicely decorated and had enough space to be very comfortable. Compared to a hotel, as a family, we really enjoy having the comforts of home at our destination. Apartments are a wonderful alternative to luxury hotels and are approximately the same price. We really enjoy shopping at local markets and eating breakfast in the apartment and purchasing local wines, cheeses, sausages, etc. and having them prior to
      going to dinner.

The apartment had 2 decks - one on the front and one on the roof. From the roof, there was a spectacular view of St. Peters Basilica and Rome - what a great place to enjoy a glass of wine.

I think you will be extremely pleased by this choice.

Cozy Pied a Terre in Heart of Rome

Left on 01/03/2011 for a stay in December 2010

We spent a week between Christmas and New Year at angelina. The email communication prior to arrival was great. Our greeter was there just when she said she would be, and the apartment was impeccable; also stocked with many unexpected treats. There is a lovely view from the living room and the roof terrace. Beds very comfortable. Living room couches a bit on the small side (love seats) but fine. Kitchen small by american standards but well equipped, certainly fine for making simple meals. Great supermarket just a few doors away. The location was fantastic -- two blocks from Trevi Fountain in one direction and Spanish Steps in the other. Easy to get taxis in the next piazza, also a metro line right there. Despite the very central location the apartment was amazingly quiet; even on New Years Eve we heard almost no street noise. The elevator mechanism is right outside the unit and we did hear that at times, but this was not a major issue. All in all we were very pleased with the apartment and the service. The place is very elegant and really gives you the experience of living in the heart of Rome.

      Terraced Rome

Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in December 2010

My second stay at a Perfect Italy property. Seamless arrival. Elvi, the greeter, was very friendly and helpful. The company really provides you with all the information you need. The apartment is quiet and very comfortable. The view over the rooftops of Rome is enjoyable by day and by night. from the upper terrrace, you can pick out the top of the Quirinale, the clock at Montecitorio (I think) St. Peter's in the distance, Trinita dei Monti and more. Despite being on a narrow street with lots of foot traffic, you really are not disturbed at night at all.
The kitchen is small, but even a hapless cook like me managed to cook dinner at home twice-- a welcome thing after a day trip to Rome to see the Bronzino exhibition (you still have time to see it!). The Despar right around the corner has whatever you need and of course there are plenty of other small alimentari around to buy more. More ambitious cooking is certainly feasible. Internet connection was fine.
There is a taxi stand about 5 minutes walk at San Silvestro, plus buses. The subway is about 10 minutes (you do not need it that much anyway). There are more buses on Via Tritone, around the corner. Rome is a walking city anyway, and you really are ideally located. Yes, it is uphill to the Borghese, but you need to burn off all that pasta and pizza and it is downhill on the way back!
The washing machine worked perfectly. You do not need to lug your copy of Food Wine Rome-- there is one on top of the washing machine, along with some other guidebooks.
I am certain I will use this company again for extended stays in Rome or elsewhere in Italy. They have put a great deal of effort into anticipating the needs of travellers.

We walked everywhere - the Colosseum, the Vatican, Campo de Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza Novona and obviously the Spanish Steps. The apartment is very well located. We also enjoyed the neighborhood and got to know the owners of the Trattoria across the street. We would (and will) gladly stay here again. We also want to add that Pat at Italy Perfect is very, very helpful and a delight to work with. Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2010

My friend and I (two professional women) enjoyed our thirteen-day stay at the angelina in every way. Perfect location, perfect apartment--everything worked perfectly, and we never had a single problem with any thing in the apartment. We never encountered another person in our time there (except for Elvi, the housekeeper, when she met us and when she came to clean the second week). The apartment was absolutely quiet (and safe) at all times and absolutely spotless. The elevator and air conditioning were both blessings in the Roman heat.

We reveled in the rooftop terrace--watching the sun set over St. Peter's dome on the horizon to the west and the moon rise over the Quirinale in the east.

Being able to walk everywhere in the centro storico from the apartment is a joy. We were able to have a caffe latte and a cornneto for breakfast at the friendly bar several doors down the street and the barristas knew our order by the second day and would begin preparing the latte as soon as we stepped inside. Then a museum, a leisurely lunch, a gelato, a nap, shopping for shoes, a Campari and soda, a leisurely dinner watching the sun set and the moon rise and a restful and quiet night's sleep.

If you love culture, shopping, and gelato, this is the best location in Rome for you.

Pat at Italy Perfect was a pleasure to work with--knowledgeable, experienced and professional--with a wry sense of humor.

There is a terrific grocery store right around the corner. The angelina is a beautiful, comfortable apartment that felt more like a home than a rental. The balcony off the living room and the roof top terrace were wonderful and we enjoyed quite a few meals on both. We could not believe the views from the roof top terrace. We also loved the location of the apt, being so close to the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens, Trevi Fountain and great shopping. We waked to all the sights in Rome from the angelina. This location is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Whenever I was lost I could simply
look for the Trevi Fountain signs which are everywhere and know that I was
3 blocks away. The location is between Trevi Fountain and spanish steps,
seconds away from the metro/subway, everything was walking distance.
(Except the Vatican which the metro takes you easily to).

Now for the property. We absolutely loved the place. It was so quaint,
peaceful and scenic. It helped us feel the essence of life in Rome without
feeling as much tourist like at a hotel. We made our own breakfasts, and
snacks. Catching up on laundry helped to pack lighter too. This place is
romantic, fabulous and decorated for comfort and the feel of Rome. There
are two balconies with great views. LOVED this place and will return
someday. I will use Italy Perfect often in the future, every detail was
completely worked out. The housekeeper is dependable waiting at your
arrival, accesible with various numbers to reach her.

Having an internet connection was helpful.

You will not be disappointed with this apartment. For 3 people is perfect
size and still plenty of privacy for my daughter to get away from her
parents. Several sliding doors to close off bedroom from hallway and family
room. The kitchen level balcony is perfect for dining outside even though
      plenty of room inside too.

Well I never let them in but saw on my last day there that they pushed all the door bells so someone whould let time in.

I would say this to anyone that wants a dream vacation this is the apartment for you.

      It was exactly as described.

We had a great time. Thank-you very much. We will DEFINITELY use your services again. The apartment was terrific. It was exactly as described. Perhaps better. The cleaning lady was cheerful, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Rome is great. I think I'm going to move. As for drawbacks, the computer was in pretty bad shape and really not useful for getting onto the internet. [Needed a virus cleanup that has been done, but it is still an older machine. Pat] The location is as central as you can get. The neighborhood is basically the 57th Street of Rome. Every high fashion store on the planet is within a block or two. I'd recommend a wonderful, neighborhood place on the square in Testaccio - It's the only sidewalk cafe there, and the food is great, the prices reasonable, and NO tourists. The most interesting shops were on the streets immediately around the Piazza Fiori. Tips for future guests: Rome's expensive. Bring lots of money. Also go on a diet first so you can fit into the great clothes they have all over the place. You were great. The only thing I'd recommend is that you suggest how much to leave the cleaning lady for a tip. We left 50 euro, but weren't sure if that was right.

You will NOT be disappointed with the services

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in August 2008

Our accommodations were excellent - great location and everything that we needed for our stay was available. Someone greeted us (as was noted) and our stay was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the location above all. Very well organized and was exactly what we expected. The location was the highlight of the trip. Most surrounding restaurants were great - Mirabelle was exceptiolly great, but pricey. Only tip is "you will NOT be disappointed with the services".

      Great Apartment

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in November 2008

We can't imagine staying in this beautiful, exciting, crowded, noisy area anywhere but in this wonderful apartment. It is high enough to be above it all and yet right where you want to be when you go out. Right in the middle! The apartment is big and light, the livingroom all windows on one side, and the bedroom big and restful, no windows at night if you close all the doors. A perfect nest in which to sleep. The bathroom is modern and lovely, and there is a divine patio at the top of a spiral staircase, where you will want to have wine in the evening while you enjoy the view of St Peter's and the birds over the skyline, or coffee in the early morning. And Elvi gave us a perfect welcome to the apartment, the neighborhood and the city. She was at the street door when we arrived, took us up to the apartment, showed us where everything was and how it worked, then gave us short tour of the immediate neighborhood, which included directions to the supermarket. There are Rome books in the cabinet on the sun porch, a small computer on the desk in the livingroom and an espresso maker in the kitchen. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Rome!

Awesome, apartment was great!! Location, amenities, roof top private terrace is so great. The views of the city were fantastic. We felt very safe in the building and walking around the surrounding area. The greeter was great and very accessible during our stay with minor questions we had. Pat Byrne was great in helping me prepare for the trip, and Italy perfect's information about Rome helped us plan our trip!! Thanks! We'll be back.

      A perfect experience

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009

This was our first experience renting an appartment and we can tell you that we are adopting the concept for quite a few years to come. There were no deception between Italy Perfect web site, the communication with Lisa and Pat and the actual site. This is truly a 5 star accomodation. The Angelina appartment was vast in spite of the so called 'european standard', well furnished and well equiped. Safe, lovely and quiet hence located in the heart of historical Roma. Lots of sunshine through the many windows, lovely in the morning for breakfast. We did appreciated the fact that there was a phone and a computer available to us. The arrangement for transportation from airport to the city was perfect and very efficient and the welcome at the apartment well done and thourough. We are adopting ItalyPerfect.

      Bella Angelina

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in October 2009

We loved our stay @ the Angelina apartment. Though in the middle of everything, it was quiet and a great resting place from the hustle of Rome. Walking was a breeze from here, nearly every top location only a mile away, with plenty of restaurant options, a market for supplies and even 2 Bernini Angels right across the cobbled street.

Eva, the house keeper was very helpful and had the kitchen set up with some essentials when we arrived which was so thoughtful.

Our only downside was the lack of the promised computer and no one knowing the password for the WiFi as a go around. That would be helpful to have in the manual for future guests.

There was also the washing machine with a mind of its own. We ended up using it a bit as it was much warmer than we had packed for so the light clothes got extra use, but the model had changed since the manual and even though Eva showed us and left the manual (in Italian) it seemed to never do the same thing twice, so we had to keep tricking it to work. Ah, Italy.

We would definately stay here again, or another of the Italy Perfect locations. Loved having our own space and having coffee on the veranda in the morning and wine at sunset.

      Great location; great apartment

Left on 11/12/2009 for a stay in October 2009

My husband and I spent 7 days at the Angelina and loved it. The apartment was so cute and had plenty of space and nice furnishings. Very comfortable. When we arrived Elvie explained everything to us and let us join her as she went to the nearby market. While there she helped us select some wonderful meats, cheeses, and wines that we snacked on throughout the week. It was great having the kitchen. We started every day with breakfast on the rooftop and occassionally closed the day up there as well since the view was so spectacular. The street is a little busy during the day but it quiets off at night and the apartment is well insulated though you can sometimes hear the elevator as residents come and go. We really felt like we 'lived' in Rome for that week. We definitely want to do it again and have recommended the Angelina to many of our travelling friends. It totally surpassed any experience we'd have had in a hotel and the transactions with Italy Perfect were very smooth!

So comfortable and central, everything you could hope for

Left on 08/27/2009 for a stay in September 2008

We took the advise of the Italy Perfect rep who recommended an air conditioned apartment even tho we were visiting in September. We were glad we did as it was still pretty hot. We were greeted by a lady who showed us how to work everything, and will come in to clean if you want (extra charge). She was very helpful and left a mobile number in case we ran into any difficulty. One really nice touch was that she had shopped for "essentials" wine, bread, pasta, tomatoes, fruit and olive oil, which we thought was a lovely touch and there was no extra charge for it. No extra charge for cleaning at the end of the week, or for use of electricity.
We saw the apartment on the internet but the photos don't do it justice. Its so nice, elegant and comfortable, only two of us but you could easily accommodate 3 people as there is a cute mezzanine level. Its located on the top floor of an apartment building over shops in a narrow street, there is a balcony overlooking the street and also a rooftop garden where you get 360 degree views over Rome, St. Peters, Victor Emmanuel monument etc. Its located just 5 minutes walk from the Trevi fountain and 5 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps where there is a metro station so you can get to everywhere from there. However, it was so well located that we found ourselves walking to a lot of places. Lots of restaurants around and also a Supermercato just around the corner selling everything including wine. Only fault we could find was that the kitchen was a little bit small if you want to do much self catering but otherwise everything was perfect.
We would highly recommend it and will stay there again on our next trip to La Bella Roma!!

Great Rome location in a very nice apartment

Left on 08/20/2009 for a stay in August 2008

Angelina was easy to rent. The caretaker met us, she spoke English, and
provided ice cream and wine treats for us. The air conditioning was great, as
our visit was in August. The location is central to the Spanish Steps, The Trevi
Fountains, and the metro line. The apartment is the penthouse of a 6 story
building, and there is a very nice view of the city from the rooftop balcony. We
found the apartment through Italy Perfect. They also helped us with great
locations in Tuscany and Venice. The apartment is suitable for a couple with 1
or 2 children, as the second room is a small loft above the living room. The
master suite was very comfortable. There are laundry facilities on site, which
was very convenient in our 3rd week in Italy.

Left on 08/20/2009 for a stay in June 2009

The apartment was very elegant and very well appointed. Elvie was delightful, greeting us as if we were part of her family.
The air conditioning was heavenly after touring around Rome. The washing machine was welcome and the computer helped ease us back into our real lives after several weeks of holidays.
The apartment was well situated to walk to all the top sights, with a cab stand and buses available close by for the sights further a field.
Our only annoyance was that some one rang the doorbell at 7:30 every morning but in the end became our wake up call.
Thank you for an elegant and cool stay.

What a GREAT place to stay in Rome!

Left on 08/16/2009 for a stay in May 2009

Our stay at Angelina apartment was wonderful. It was nicely located between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and near many excellent places for shopping and dining. There was easy access to the metro near the Spanish Steps. The size and amenities of the apartment were excellent by Rome standards. The location on the upper floor was away from the meandering tourists with no significant distraction or noise from the crowds below. It has a nice rooftop balcony though we were so busy we did not use it much. The owner was kind and set us up with wine, cookies, fresh fruit, candies, etc. making our stay even more special. The laptop computer in the unit was functional. Unfortunately, we could not use our current generation laptop because of internet password and wireless issues which caused some problems. The owner tried with mixed success to fix this problem.

Overall, I would strongly recommend this apartment as a place to stay when in Rome.

More importantly however, dealing with Pat and Italy perfect was the absolute best choice we made when we planned our one month trip to Rome, Sorrento and Florence. All arrangements were made in a very professional manner with nothing left to chance. The utmost honesty, integrity and care was exercised in dealing with our needs. By the end on the planning process, I felt we developed a sort of friendship with Pat and traveled to Rome knowing with certainty that our entire experience would be the absolute best- AND IT WAS!! Thanks Pat.

Angelina, Italy Perfect and Pat are the best!

Charming, Romantic Luxury Apartment in Rome

Left on 06/21/2009 for a stay in May 2009

We travel to Europe at least once a year and stay at vacation rentals. The Angelina Apartment was by far one of the nicest we have experienced. The linens, dishes, and furniture are all excellent and enhance your stay. The photos on the website exactly represent the property.

Elvi, the greeter, is quite charming and helpful. We also used the car service recommended by Pat for transportation to/from the airport. They were perfect.

The location is incredible. It is a great neighborhood that is close to so many sites you want to see and feels very safe. There are many restaurants and shops to make life as a 'local' easy and exciting. You do not hear sounds from the street below. And the balcony and rooftop terrace are a wonderful addition.

We stayed during a very hot period - so we adjusted our lifestyle to match the locals - breakfast on the balcony early in the morning. Get to the sites by 8:30 and then ready for lunch at 1:00. Back to the apartment, turn on the air conditioning, and sleep till 5pm. Then it is out for dinner and activities in the evening. This worked perfectly for us.

The only challenge we had was internet connection. The owner came by once to fix it, but it never worked except sporadically. That was disappointing.

Pat provided wonderful documentation to read prior to the trip to understand the culture/charm/quirks/challenges of visiting Rome. They were very comprehensive and helpful. Working with ItalyPerfect was easy. We will definitely do it again. We would stay in Angelina again as well.

One nice surprise was the closeness of the Borghese gardens. Wonderful place to visit just to get out of the heat and enjoy the beauty of nature. We did the typical things from the Forum, the Colosseum, Vatican, Parthenon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Jewish Ghetto, Travestere, St. Peter's Basilica, and countless churches. Rome is truly magnificent.

Left on 05/06/2009 for a stay in December 2008

We loved this apartment. It was charming and comfortable, more like a friend's apartment than a rental. The location was wonderful, right in the center of everything. The kitchen is small, but the local restaurants are numerous and pretty good. Everything worked. We were met as promised, even though we arrived late on a Saturday night. If we were to go back to Rome, we would probably stay there again.

      Our Place in Rome

Left on 04/23/2009 for a stay in April 2009

We have found our place in Rome, a city we visit regularly. There is no need for us to think about staying anyplace else. The location is perfect for walking the entire city. All the little shops for expenditures big and small are in the neighborhood.

The living room is comfortable and full of light. Kitchen is small but totally equipped for any kind of cooking except baking...who needs that with so many bakeries nearby.

Can't forget the terrace, we had our coffee there every morning and wine every evening toasting the sunset. Dreamy.

The bedroom really is quiet, no street noise or neighborhood noise at all.

We recommend this apartment for others...when we aren't staying here.

Bugs in the shower (coming up through the drain) and a very funny smell in the bathroom. A loud elevator that woke us up in the night and made a mean seagull who lived by the upstairs terrace squak for hours. The second (single) bed did not look clean and our guest slept on top of the blankets. Lots of personal clutter throughout the house. Would not return.

The whole shower drain system was replaced. The seagull has also changed location. The elevator has a normal sound, but we understand how that can be unusual for guests who aren't used to living in apartment buildings, especially when this apartment is so quiet. The apartment is kept spotlessly clean, maybe this guest is thinking of another place. There are a number of small decorative items in the apartment, sorry they seem like clutter.
