Sydney, AustraliaWould love to return
Left on 04/27/2013 for a stay in April 2013
I stayed in the apartment Valentina for four days in april 2013 with my husband and two teenage children. This apartment is a terrific choice and we would love to stay there again in the future.
The location could not be better - just near the Spanish Steps and in the heart of the luxury shopping district in Rome.
The apartment came with Wifi and Foxtel so we were not short of entertainment when we needed a bit of a break from sightseeing.
The kitchen came equipped with all we needed for breakfasts - there were too many good restaurants close by for us to eat.
There was a laundry and drying rack which meant we could do a load to freshen our bags before travelling on from Rome.
We had a fantastic stay in this apartment and would recommend it to other families. -

Baltimore, MarylandGreat location and charming apartment
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Our family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for 5 nights and had a great stay. The location was fantastic. It is in a lovely neighborhood - pretty, quiet, etc but you can walk out the door and be in the middle of great shopping in minutes. You are also able to easily walk to other areas of Rome for sightseeing, shopping or eating.
The apartment itself is quite charming. It is attractively decorated and well cared for. It worked well for our family - there was enough space for everyone. The landlord was very gracious and she or her porter were always available if needed. -

We really enjoyed our stay near the Spanish Steps in the beautiful Renata. It was very nice to have a "home" to come home to every night after a busy day in the bustling city. There was more than enough room for ourselves and our two children. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit."

Spectacular!
First time "apartment renter" I was a bit nervous about the entire experience, as we are typically hotel people. This changed immediately upon arrival, as the location was spectacular - who wouldn't want Gucci, Pucci, Prada and Versace as neighbors?? Everything within walking distance - we never needed a cab, except for airport transport. The apartment was perfect! Italy Perfect! Well appointed, secure, and a tremendous experience. The perfect solution for a family traveling together - or even 2 couples, as the living space is key. Every day a violinist on the corner would serenade us too! We were ever so pleased with this apartment and location - a must see!

MalaysiaPerfect Winter Break
Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
If you want to have a perfect winter break in Rome, then I suggest that you stay at this home-away-from home apartment at the heart of the city. We rented the apartment for 8 nights starting the 17th December. The apartment was exactly as per description and we could not have chosen a better location. We literally walk to all the restaurants, shops, and sights as per suggested in the welcome folders. In fact on 2 occasions we had the pleasure of being shown around by anne, our travel guide. Her depth of knowledge especially when visiting the Sistine Chapel was well worth the extras that we spent. This is my second time to Rome (the first one when I was a student in 1984) and the first for my wife and 2 boys.
The advance arrangement that we made especially arriving at 6.30am after a 13 hours flight at was excellent. Nellie the housekeeper was waiting for us at the door when we arrived (the owner was away).
Thank You to Lisa and I will be happy to recommend Italy Perfect to anyone who wish to have the perfect breakResponse from Italy Perfect - 01/10/2012

Boulder, COAs advertised
Left on 11/26/2011 for a stay in November 2011
This is a lovely apartment in the heart of the best shopping area in Rome (I kidded with my wife that when the Versace store is relegated to a minor side street you know you're in a ritzy area). It's a short walk to the Spanish steps where you can easily find a cab. The apartment is spacious with two large bedrooms and baths. The decor is beautiful and artistic and the place is very clean. My only gripe is minor one, that the maid uses heavily scented soap on the wonderful linens and I'm allergic to fragrances (99.99% of the people would have found the fragrance delightful). When I brought this up to the owner, the maid rewashed my bed linens without the fragrance. I would highly recommend this apartment!

Seattle, WAA Most Comfortable and Graceful apartment
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
My family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) spent 6 days in Rome, staying at the Valentina apartment near the Spanish steps. The apartment was spacious, very comfortable (the air conditioning was fabulous during the heat wave we encountered) and extremely well situated for visiting the city. It is 2 blocks from the Spagna Metro station and cab stand, close to lots of restaurants and shops, including a grocery store where we stocked up on breakfast items. The neighborhood is extremely safe with lots of people out walking at night. The owner met us at the apartment (we called from the Rome airport), oriented us to the place and helped out when needed it (wi fi went down one day - very important to teenagers).
With a family this size, staying in an apartment makes the visit so much more enjoyable for everyone. This is a lovely place to stay. We didn't really cook - the kitchen was small by american standards but it worked well for our needs. Our kids stayed in the smaller rooms (they had 2 bathrooms) and the master bedroom and bath were elegant and spacious. The living room was the hang out spot after long hot days of sightseeing. The air conditioning was high powered and made the place comfortable on some very hot days. In the entry way, there is a large foyer that became command central with its round table and sideboard for maps, guidebooks, day packs, water bottles and phone/computer recharging.
Italy Perfect handled all the details seamlessly. All our expectations were met and exceeded for the apartment rental. We would rent again from Italy Perfect and this apartment too.

The apartment was spacious, well laid out and decorated. Fully air Conditioned was a nice touch so was the wonderful bottle of red wine when we arrived. Marcella our hostess greeted us upon arrival and was able to speak English. She made sure we were all setup before leaving and made us really feel at home. Located near the Spanish Steps in Rome, it was a shopping haven that my teenage daughters really appreciated. Highly recommended for a wonderful stay in Rome.

Our stay at the Renata was fantastic! The accommodations are first rate. We were greeted upon our arrival and enjoyed a great bottle of wine. The location is perfect for walking to the Vatican, the Villa Borghese, the Forum, etc. We loved being able to walk to enjoy these sites and then find amazing restaurants, shops and markets along the way. We made great use of the references provided by our host, and enjoyed guided tours. We shopped the local markets and made our own food and were able to sample lots of local fare and wine. We were quite reluctant to leave. Being in this apartment, in this location, made our stay in Rome a real dream come true. Highly recommended!

Left on 05/02/2011 for a stay in April 2011
My family and I recently stayed in Rome for a week and chose to stay at Italy Perfect based on the comments we had reviewed regarding the location and quality of this apartment. It could not have been better, and exceeded my expectations in every way, and I must say that as a career hotel professional, my standards are very high. The apartment is beautiful and elegant. The location, near the Spanish Steps is ideal. We walked to all of the ancient city attractions daily, loved exploring the city on foot, and lingered over fabulous food and wine at many wonderful locations within steps of the apartment. We enjoyed visiting the local food market located at the end of the street and even created our own delicious Italian dishes using the fresh ingredients purchased there. The kitchen in the apartment was very well maintained and had everything we needed to prepare quality food. My family and I created wonderful memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. The only downside was leaving Italy Perfect to come back home. I would highly recommend Italy Perfect and will definitely book again when I have the opportunity to return.

Four of us traveled to Rome last year, spring 2010. We absolutely loved our apartment, the Valentina. We were close to everything we needed and walked to the market, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We opened the windows in the parlor and felt like we were part of the neighborhood. Our host was gracious and attentive, answering any questions we had. We hope to return to the very same spot when we visit Italy again.

This apartment was perfect. It was very well furnighed, very roomy, and perfectly located near the Spanish Steps. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It is near many good restaurants ad the metro station. A must-see is the McDonalds near the Spanish Steps. Not like ours here in the U.S. It was very easy to sight-see from this location, and it felt very safe. The apartment and the area were very quiet, but near lots to do. The Italy Perfect staff were very helpful in providing pre-trip info so that we could easily plan our trip. I highly recoommend Italy Perfect and Paris Perfect.

My husband and I traveled to Rome with a set of friends in October, 2010. We stayed in the apartment for 5 days. From the time we made our reservation to the minute we vacated the apartment, we experienced nothing but professionalism, thoughtfulness and thoroughness. Our reservation and check in process were very easy. We were provided ahead of time with a detailed set of instructions for everything from check in to restaurants and sites near by, as well as information regarding the Italian culture. The apartment was even prettier than the pictures and very comfortable and clean. The location was literally just around the corner from the Spanish Steps. We especially enjoyed the 2 bathtubs, comfortable beds and bedding and coziness of the living area. We definitely got our money's worth!

We have just spent a wonderful week in Rome, where by far and away, the most enjoyable part of our trip was the accommodation and the wonderful assistance we had from the owner Marcella who lives 2 floors above. We were a group of 4 who all enjoy cooking and this apartment accommodated us perfectly in that regard, with the luxurious surrounds together with a wonderful fruit/veg market and gourmet deli not 100m from our doorstep. If this is your gig and you are staying at this wonderful home, head down to the deli and buy some spinach and ricotta ravioli (made fresh daily), a small tub of basil pesto (also from this gem and homemade), a wedge of reggiano and some salad greens from the market and you have a dinner to remember. You will obviously need to pair your wines and we chose many with the aperitif being a bottle of Moet @ 30 euro from the supermarket 20m further on from where you will buy your salads!! I cannot recommend Valentina highly enough, forget the 5 star hotels and treat yourself.

IllinoisA joy to come back to every night and we are so glad we chose to
Left on 01/03/2010 for a stay in November 2009
Just got back a couple weeks ago from a wonderful stay at the Valentina
apartment. Working with Italy Perfect was, well, perfect. Lisa was very
responsive to all of our questions and gave us plenty of useful information
in preparation for our trip. The location was great. Even though it got quite
crowded just a couple streets away, the area right by the apartment was
always uncrowded and relatively quiet.
Positives: Apartment was very spacious and clean. It had almost everything
we needed (except for minor things like napkins and washcloths). Beds were
very comfortable. The owner lives in the same building and was very
pleasant. There are a ton of restaurants and shops very near by, as well as a
daily fruit and vegetable market just down the street. There is an elevator in
the building which was quite welcome after long days filled with walking.
It's small, only two people can fit. But the stairs weren't bad as an
alternative, with the apartment being on the third floor.
Negatives: The back bedroom got quite a lot of noise at night. We could
hear the people walking and talking upstairs, and were also awakened by a
dog barking, baby crying, and birds (of all things) in the middle of the
night. This is not said to discourage anyone from staying here - I think
these are typical noises you will encounter living in an apartment anywhere.
I am just mentioning it to make sure future dwellers are prepared! Bring
some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
The smallest bedroom has a "loft", which is accessed by a ladder and really
only has room for the mattress. I think it would be adventuresome for
children, but quite undesirable for an adult. Additionally, the shower in the
corresponding bathroom was TINY and did not get used at all by us.
The apartment was a joy to come back to every night and we are so glad we
chose to stay there. We would recommend the apartment without
hesitation!Response from Italy Perfect - 01/03/2010

Thank you, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We don't provide cloth napkins since paper napkins are more practical for a short term rental. Wash cloths are not typically found in Italy, as covered in our Italy Perfect materials to help guests prepare in advance of their stay.

BostonA beautiful apartment in a superb location
Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in December 2008
As we approached our apartment, we were surprised at how upscale and
beautiful the neighborhood was. While it is in one of the nicest areas of
Rome, we never felt out of place with our 3 children. In fact, it felt very safe,
and there were many inexpensive restaurants from which to chose close by.
The location turned out to be ideal. We found that we could walk
everywhere. The apartment is beautifully furnished, updated and very large.
There was more than enough room for our family of 5 to spread out. The
kitchen is small, but is well stocked and can be used to cook anything. We
never prepared a dinner in the apartment, but it could be done. The woman
we rented from was lovely. She lives one flight up which made it convenient
for any questions. She addressed any issues we had with promptness. We
highly recommend visiting Pompeii. However, we went during December
and were told it is almost prohibitively hot during the summer months. We
took a train from Rome which included a transfer in Naples. If you are
planning to do a day trip to Pompeii, I would recommend hiring a driver and
settling on a price ahead of time. The train was a hassle and we felt we got
ripped off on the way down. We also took tours of the Forum and the
Vatican which we highly recommend. Even if you've visited the Pantheon
during the day, it's worth a night time visit. There are many, many
restaurants in the area, and the Pantheon is particularly impressive at night
as are the fountains.Don't forget to try the gelato. We became addicted. It is
very fun to try out the different gelato places.Response from Italy Perfect - 01/06/2010

CaliforniaI'm particular and this apartment worked out beautifully
Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in April 2008
The accommodations were perfect. The apartment was very spacious and
comfortable. I'm particular and this apartment worked out beautifully -
from the location to the linens and towels. The layout worked out great as
well. My son loved the small room with the loft and my daughter loved
having the larger bedroom in the back to herself with the large closet. It's
hard to say what we liked the most - for me it was the bed in the master
bedroom. The comforter and linens were great and it's the best nights' sleep
I had in Italy. The only problems we encountered were the water pressure in
the back bathroom shower. The kids used our shower which was fine. The
location was perfect for us. We walked everywhere, even to the Vatican and
the Colosseum. Each night we walked to dinner and back which was great
and we loved all of the shopping. Our favorite restaurants were Nino's;
Ristorante Mario; and Recafe. I was a big fan of the fresh produce market at
the end of the street every morning. The vendors were so cheerful and
helpful and the cafe on the way was great. I got pastries for the kids every
morning on my way back from the open market. I would recommend
anyone use Ann Hogan, private tour guide. She made our visit to the
Vatican an amazing experience. We could not have done it justice on our
own and 3 hours flew by. I will definitely look to using your service again
when we go back to Italy - and your sister's if it's London or Paris. Pat,

The Renata apartment we both loved everything about it. It exceeded our
expectations and was so very comfortable and beautiful. Location was great
because we used the Spanish Steps Metro [subway] to go everywhere. There
was some noise, but the back bedroom was very quiet. Kitchen was great, as
well as the bathrooms and the beds were extremely comfortable. It's probably
the best vacation apartment rental that we've ever had. The ownerwas
wonderful, although I didn't get to meet her, my husband did. The
housekeeper who came by each day to do some light housekeeping was
delightful. She didn't speak too much English, but my husband spoke a tiny bit

As you predicted we were delighted by its location, spaciousness and stylish
furnishings. The hostess was charming and the apartment was a fitting place
in which to end our European travels. The arrangements all worked perfectly. It
was truly superior to the hotel D'Ingelterra next door where I have stayed
sometimes on prior business visits. We now appreciate the full value of your
recommendation and thank you for offering us this property. We were very
happy clients and will no doubt return to your apartments.Response from Italy Perfect - 11/21/2009

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the first leg of our Italian vacation in Rome. Our
beautiful apartment, Valentina, was exceptionally situated in an exciting part
of the city. The metro was easily accessable as were many cafes. We enjoyed
watching the people, shopping and becoming part of the fabric of the Piazza
de Spagna neighborhood. My personal favorite was coming home in the hot
afternoon from touring to recover for the evening. At dusk almost every
evening, a sole violinest played on the street corner below. His melodies
wafted through the buildings making their way to my window above. I sat
enjoying the scene below and was transported to another time.
Valantina was a well appointed, comfortable place to come home to. We look
forward to visiting again and returning to these wonderful accomdations.Response from Italy Perfect - 01/06/2010

Left on 09/01/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The Renata apartment was a perfect choice for our family vacation in Rome.
The apartment is lovely. It was everything we expected. The twin bedroom
worked fine for our daughter who is 21 and our son who is 17. There was
plenty of room for all of us. The internet connection work properly and that
was a must since we each had a laptop. Italy Perfect had a host meet us at
the
home to help us get acclimated to the city and the area. He had many helpful
suggestions. The daily maid service was very nice which you don't usually get
with an apartment rental. The neighborhood is the best in Rome. It is just a
short block from the Spanish Steps and many other wonderful sites. Some of
the best shopping in Rome is just outside your door. It will make you want to
stay forever. The area is very safe and pedestrian friendly with narrow
cobblestone streets and minimal traffic. There are an abundance of excellent
dining choices in the surrounding blocks. I highly recommend this apartment. -

The location was just perfect. Close to Spanish Steps, great shopping and restaurants; equal distance from Vatican and ruins. The owner was a very gracious lady who gives you great information about where to eat, walking tours, etc. The apartment was very nice with every amenity. Would definitely stay there again.

What a great location, and the apartment was so charming; really everything we could have hoped for, and surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of Rome and so close to the Spanish Steps. It was nice to have the additional space traveling with two teenagers (the wifi and flat screen tv also helped). We appreciated being able to check in early, and the greeter, Paul, was very helpful in answering our questions. We also used Stephano for the ride back to the airport and he was punctual and gracious. We felt comfortable and welcomed, and the apartment was an ideal base to explore Rome.

We had five wonderful nights in Rome and loved the apartment. Beautiful
location, central to all the sights. With two children ages 10 and 13 this was
much better than having two hotel rooms. We were able to have breakfast in at
our leisure and we felt more comfortable with having the extra space. You will
not be disappointed. Very clean and well equipped. Loved the location! -

We stayed in this wonderful apartment in November 2008. In addition
to being in the very best neighborhood in Rome, the apartment was
lovely. Plenty of room, lovely decor, fully stocked and extremely
comfortable. We were warmly greeted and treated like family by the
owner who lives upstairs. I am in Rome twice a year and usually stay
in the hotel next door for a few days, however whenever I am planning
to be in Rome for a week I would absolutely stay again in this
outstanding apartment. I highly recommend this property to
everyone. -

Boston, Ma.A beautiful apartment in a superb location
Left on 04/21/2009 for a stay in December 2008
As we approached our apartment, we were surprised at how upscale and beautiful the neighborhood was. While it is in one of the nicest areas of Rome, we never felt out of place with our 3 children. In fact, it felt very safe, and there were many inexpensive restaurants from which to chose close by. The location turned out to be ideal. We found that we could walk everywhere.
The apartment is beautifully furnished, updated and very large. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 to spread out. The kitchen is small, but is well stocked and can be used to cook anything. We never prepared a dinner in the apartment, but it could be done.
The woman we rented from was lovely. She lives one flight up which made it convenient for any questions. She addressed any issues we had with promptness.
We highly recommend visiting Pompeii. However, we went during December and were told it is almost prohibitively hot during the summer months. We took a train from Rome which included a transfer in Naples. If you are planning to do a day trip to Pompeii, I would recommend hiring a driver and settling on a price ahead of time. The train was a hassle and we felt we got ripped off on the way down. We also took tours of the Forum and the Vatican which we highly recommend. Even if you've visited the Pantheon during the day, it's worth a night time visit. There are many, many restaurants in the area, and the Pantheon is particularly impressive at night as are the fountains.
Don't forget to try the gelato. We became addicted. It is very fun to try out the different gelato places.
