The apartment is as elegant as the owner is kind. He wants you to feel at home in his apartment and to have a wonderful stay in Rome. It is within walking distance of all the major attractions. The cobblestone streets of Rome are right outside the door. You can see the steeple of St. Peter's from the roof top terrace. My wife and I have stayed there three times and will stay there again and again if it is available. You can not do any better.

This apartment was well appointed and in a great location for walking around Rome to most of the sites. There were good local restaurants and a supermarket very close.
Our host went out of his way to assist us during our stay. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and assisted with our luggage. He was able to help us find medical assistance for a problem and then organise a taxi to the airport.
Charming and well-located property

This apartment is perfectly located for visiting Rome as all major sights were within walking distance. It is charmingly decorated with all necessary amenities and on a lovely quiet street near a small market and good restaurants.
Upon arrival, Massimo the owner was waiting to greet us with a bottle of wine, and warmly oriented us to the apartment and the neighborhood.
He also kindly carried our luggage up the five flights of stairs to the apartment, so those who might not be in shape for such a climb should keep this in mind. On the other hand, it certainly helped to keep us fit after eating all the delicious pasta Rome has to offer!
A charming apartment in a great location.

You will see nothing but 5 star reviews for this apartment in Rome, and there's a reason. The location is perfect, the apartment is charming (and exactly as portrayed in the photos), and Massimo is a terrific landlord. We walked to virtually all of the historic sites (did break down and take a cab to Villa Borghese) and spent a lot of time people-watching at Campo Dei Fiori and Piazza Navona while enjoying lunch or dinner at the many restaurants there. The apartment is very comfortable and is fully equipped- right down to the welcome bottle of wine from Massimo. He is a great guy, and took a sincere interest in making sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Massimo!
Reputable rental company and an apartment that helped make our t

I want to begin by saying that I spent an enormous amount of time researching lodging for our first visit to Rome. We wanted an apartment so the initial task was to find a highly reputable rental company. I found Cities Reference and never looked back. They're great. Next came finding the apartment on the Cities website and that was fun. We had a general feel for the area where we wanted to stay and wanted a king bed, independent heating and cooling, free wi-fi, and a rooftop terrace. After reviewing the options and information (including accurate photos) we chose Cr176. This apartment is an integral part of why Rome might be the best trip we've ever taken. First, the apartment's location is ideal. It's in the historic center, on an historic and beautiful street, but just enough removed from the tourist crowds so that after a long day of sightseeing you come home to a quiet Roman neighborhood. And 'home' is the key word here because the space immediately felt like home. It's comfortable, very nicely furnished, and owned by a wonderful landlord. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedroom has ample storage space, and the bathroom is a good size. The living room comes with a very small library and several good guide books (in case you haven't done enough research!) A grocery store is nearby as is the Campo Dei Fiori with fresh produce stalls. The bedroom has a small balcony porch and you take a spiral staircase to reach the simple rooftop deck which is a great place for a glass of wine. One of our best nights was the night it rained so hard we stayed in. We had a small feast and good books. We sat in that cozy living room, with the windows slightly open, listening to the rain falling on Rome. We'd stay here again and it was very hard to leave.
The Place to stay in Rome

The owner, Mr. Pianzola, is helpful. His restaurant recommendations, his arrangement for airport transportation, his offer of the use of the apartment phone to name just a few of his efforts for us, made our stay terrific. The apartment is charming with wonderful views from the third floor and the rooftop terrace. A great market is a half block away. And so is the Tiber River. Do check it out.

Fantastic place to stay in Rome

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this apartment. The location was perfect, the setting charming, and the apartment itself beautifully appointed. The owner, Massimo, could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I would recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a lovely home away from home while visiting Rome.
Another wonderful stay at a great apartment

We considered ourselves very lucky to have found this apartment last year and even more fortunate to be able to return to it this year. Beautiful, bright, airy, tastefully furnished, very clean, and well stocked with all sorts of things one might need, this apartment is truly special. Our thanks to Massimo for his generous hospitality and for all he has done, and continues to do, to make this the best apartment in Rome.

This was our 5th trip to Rome, always renting apartments, and this was the absolute best. We chose this apartment for the location and the terrace. The apartment is large, comfortable and immaculately clean. The terrace is large and the views over the rooftops and to the hills was wonderful.
The location is on a lovely street, and all the major sites are easily walkable.
Roman Reference was was easy to deal with, and our host was excellent. He met us right on time, help haul our luggage and spent time explaining everything in the apartment and neighborhood.
We would highly recommend Via Giulia and look forward to our next trip to Rome to enjoy this wonderful apartment.
Location, Comfort, Charm -- This apartment Has It all

Our 18-day stay in Rome was wonderful, all the more so because we had the great good fortune to stay at Via Giulia 125. The apartment is exactly as presented in every respect -- there is no exaggeration with regard to any of the descriptions, photos, or amenities. Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, full of all sorts of extras, immaculately clean, very comfortable, and located on a totally charming historic street that is lively by day and quiet by night, this apartment has to be one of the very best places to stay in all of Rome. We felt immediately at home and greatly regretted ever having to leave. And no review would be complete without acknowledging our host Massimo. He is a most gracious man, full of wit and wisdom, genuinely concerned with the happiness and satisfaction of those who rent his apartment. Although our time spent with him was short, we consider him our friend and hope to see him again soon.

Charming Location, wonderful rooftop terrace!

When we started planning for our 20th anniversary in Rome, we knew we wanted
to stay in a place that was special... and this apartment turned out to be perfect.
We have used www.RomanReference.com for two other visits to Rome and have
always been happy with their service and the quality of the apartments we've
rented with them, this apartment was also exceptional.
Located on the charming and quiet Via Giulia but only a short walk from the
Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trastevere and the Campo dei Fiori, this apartment
has all the advantages of a central location without the crowds and noise.
We were met on arrival by the owner who was very helpful in getting us
situated, showing us where everything was kept in the apartment and giving us
tips about the area. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, the bed
very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There were two nearby grocery
shops but we did most of our dining out at the many restaurants in the area.
Our favorite thing about the apartment though was the rooftop terrace. It's a
great place to enjoy a snack and a glass of wine and watch the sunset... a well
earned bit of relaxation after a days touring and before dinner time. It is high
above the street with a view of the Gianicolo, the terra cotta roof tiles and bell
towers and domes of local churches.
The apartment has a stereo that was "i-pod ready" and it was nice to have music
from home to listen to while writing postcards and planning each days itinerary. There are a series of paintings along the walls that tell the tale of two Romans
going out to the country to hunt that will delight and amuse you during your
stay, and the decoration throughout is elegant and thoughtful.
Some folks will find the lack of an elevator to be a negative, but we found the
apartment was worth every step for the oasis that awaited us at the top.
