The first review here is 100% correct. The location is great, close to the everything ...though the ghetto area can be difficult to find when you first arrive as there are numerous alley ways to approach the area, this is part of its charm... The appartment is up a few flights of stairs...the lift does not work. Make sure to get two sets of keys as when one of you goes out to get the bread from the nearby bakery and needs the key to get back in the key must be removed from a socket which makes all the power goes off . The appartment is great for two with a lovely bedroom, sitting room, modern bathroom, exposed bricks and archways which show the archaeology and ancient bones of the building. The kitchen and cooking equipment supplied was great and enabled us to cook some great Italian produce. We had a really lovely time here and it was great to come home to this lovely apartment after seeing Rome. The windows are shuttered, insulated and the place is airconditioned so if you want to shut out the low level piazza street noise you can. We did not feel the need prefering fresh air.

Located in the Jewish Ghetto, a lovely area with a lot of interesting history, this apartment is within walking distance of much of Rome, including the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona. The location is incomparable. The apartment mixes original wood beams from the 1400s with modern decor. It is very clean and comfortable, even for a family of four. It is a quiet area at night, the aC works well, and the beds are super, which make for a very pleasant night's sleep. The kitchen is new and fully-equipped. We enjoyed cooking a couple of nights. The neighborhood has several wonderful bakeries, grocery stores and restaurants. To top it off, the owner is lovely and helpful. Wonderful say -- would come again.
