      Eccellente

Left on 06/23/2012 for a stay in August 2011

Traveling solo to Europe from Los angeles, Ca, it took over an hour just to get my luggage. I went to Rome at the end of august, it was hot and humid, I still had to take the train and metro to get to this apartment. I had no idea how far the apartment was and Federico's housekeeper was kind enough too met me at the corner and that was the icing on the cake! She helped me with my luggage and gave great customer serivce. Although it was a little hard to communicate (I don't speak Italian), she made me feel right at home right away.

This apartment is located in a nice neighborhood, only a couple of blocks away from the Colosseo and metro. I took the metro everywhere and felt like a local. There are plenty of restuarants nearby, all at a decent price.

My only downfall, every morning I bought fruit from a nearby market and all along, there was a continental breakfast provided each morning. Oh well, guess I should have paid a little more attention.

I know this review is being written almost a year later, but better late than never. I highly recommend this apartment to solo travelers and couples since it's a bit small, but all you really need this apartment for is to get ready and sleep.

Thank you Federico for a lovely stay!

Great studio in a good location

Left on 11/30/2011 for a stay in November 2011

My partner and I stayed in Federico's studio loft for a week in late November. The place is a great base for site-seeing in downtown Rome. Federico, the keyholder, was great and both he and his housekeeper, Signora Rada, were ready to help if anything went wrong (we had a bit of a problem with the heater the first night, which was quickly resolved).

The apartment is very small, but it was perfect for what we needed as two twenty-somethings experiencing Rome on a budget. The kitchenette allowed us to save a bit of money by preparing our breakfasts and lunches in the apartment. My only suggestion would be to add a cutting board or two, and maybe some equipment for cleaning (although had we asked, that very well may have been provided).

I do think it's important to note that the apartment's one window opens onto the street. While it isn't a busy street, there is some noise from trash collection, etc. That didn't bother us too much, as the mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well otherwise.

I wouldn't think twice about staying in this apartment again or recommending it to friends. I think you pay a bit of a premium booking with Roman Reference rather than going it alone, but they made everything extremely easy and I would definitely use them again as well.

Great, clean, functional apartment in good location

Left on 12/13/2010 for a stay in November 2010

Apartment is small but very clean and fully functional. Kitchen area was nice with all kitchen tools at our disposal. The apartment is also very close to supermarkets, restaurants, and the Colosseum. The metro is literally just 5 minutes on foot. We stayed for Thanksgiving holidays and enjoyed the beautiful city of Rome. It was great to come back to a relaxing, cozy apartment after a long day of exploring. Federico, the owner was extremely nice and helpful. He made sure everything was in good working order, and he is quick to respond to anything that needs attention. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely recommend this apartment to friends!

A good deal in a nice neighborhood

Left on 07/04/2010 for a stay in May 2010

The apartment has everything you need. We stayed 2 weeks and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a larger unit. It was small but we were out and about most of the time. I recommend it.

      Petite and Cozy

Left on 12/09/2009 for a stay in September 2009

This place is just right for 2. Narrow stairs, tiny showerstall, great cable subscription, great internet connection, great location. Owner's great in response. The washing machine and dryer gave us some issues as we had to spin a few times for our clothes to dry resulting in late nights (perhaps caused by a user problem....)

      Head & Heart

Left on 10/18/2009 for a stay in October 2009

We were welcomed by Federico very warmly. He explained everything to us
and was very easy going. We liked the home. Everything was there except the
spaghetti pot! The location is fantastic, close to my favourite church, San
Clemente. What I liked best is that is was so uncomplicated. And least...there is
      no least!

Nice little apartment in a great location

Left on 07/22/2009 for a stay in June 2009

My wife and I stayed 6 nights in this charming and small apartment, near the Coliseum. The apartment was clean and handy. Provides a gas stove, refrigerator, washing machine down the hall, and a great shower. The owner is a very nice man named Federico, who was very helpful. Only a 5 minute walk to the Colosseo Metro station, and convenient to many wonderful churches, restaurants, and bus routes.
The price is good, and I would definetly return when coming back to Rome. From the Termini Station it took us 15 minutes in total to reach this apartment.
