What more can you ask for, an awesome apartment in a medieval house located in a courtyard minutes from Campo di Fiori. We loved our stay in this sensational apartment just steps away from the famous market. Opening our balcony doors and having a view of the courtyard below was delightful. We could not have chosen a better location or a more wonderful apartment.

We went to Rome to visit our son who was in college for a semester in Rome. I found this apartment on the internet and booked it based on the reviews that I read - the reviews did not do this place justice!! What a place - what a location - what a wonderful time. Our check in was delayed because our flight was delayed but once we got together things went great! You have to say here - if you want a true Roman experience this is the place. I would highly recommend this to anyone spending a week or more in Rome!

We came back to this apartment in 2010, after having spent one month (May) there in 1999, we just loved int then, that's why we came back. We enjoyed the two weeks there this May,
even though Rome seems to be more crowded with people and cars than 11 years ago. The apartment and the Campo d'Fiori still had its old charm. -

The apartment is set in one of the most picturesque courtyards in all of Rome.
It is the one you see painted by all of the artists in Piazza Navona. Everyday
when you return to your apartment you will be delighted as you enter the
courtyard. You are a few steps from Campo dei Fiori for produce, several
excellent bakeries, great butchers, etc.
The apartment is great for a couple of one person. Kitchen is excellent - open
and well-equipped. Opens on to the living area. Bedroom and bathroom are
downstairs - a little cave-like, but definitely comfortable.
Roman Reference provides outstanding service - super responsive via email or
phone.
All in all a great experience. Highly recommended for any one interested in
feeling like you are actually living in the Rome of "Roman Holiday". -

I did have a few issues with this property. It is definitely a picturesque property and you will find numerous tourists snapping pictures of your rental in the tiny cul de sac. And, they will be walking by, sitting on the staircase and talking loudly at all hours of the day and night. The apartment is set up a narrow steep staircase and than the apartment itself is on 3 levels with narrow metal stairs connecting. The bathroom is on the lowest level along with the bedroom so everyone will be going through your bedroom to get to the only bathroom. All in all the apartment was too cramped, difficult to access and dark for me. The levels of the apartment are each rooms and are very tiny and really not conducive for sitting and chatting with any number of people.

Hi Lynn, we really appreciate your response to our feedback request. I agree that this apartment is best suited for a couple, not particularly sunny and only 60sqmts (650sqft), this is why we made sure to include the above information on our website descrtiption. As you honestly mention it must also be stressed that the apartment is set, as widely acknowledged in postcards and books, as one of the most picturesque medieval spots of Rome, let's not forget that medieval Rome has by now almost disappeared (scarcity brings value!) and that medieval doesn't always match with comforts. You could say this place is best suited to amateurs, yet I care to stress that it has been rather recently renovated by a renown American architect (the owners are American) and all furniture and amenities are of top quality. This is also why the price is on the upper range.
Lynn, once again and as per our correspondence last year, I'm sorry I couldn't get the owners to give you a last minute discount, but I take this occasion in reply to your kind collaboration to offer you a discount on your next rental with us.
