Location, location, location
The very best aspect of this apartment was for sure the location - just a few blocks from Piazza Navona and across the bridge from the Vatican. This is a studio apt and three adults were very comfortable. The bed is actually a murphy bed, but adequate for a short stay. Bathroom is renovated and bright. Apartment was also on a quiet street, so no trouble resting after a full day of touring the sights.
I have to add, though, that the kitchen is not very well stocked - just the bare minimum utensils/plates, etc. so plan ahead if you plan to cook.
We had some trouble finding the place, and after some negotiating at the tourist kiosk, Olivia arranged for someone to come find us and escort us which was very much appreciated. Enjoy beautiful Rome!
Amazing location, cute apartment, great city!
This was my first time in Rome and Olivia made our stay amazing. The apartment is located in the middle of everything just a short walk to Navona and the vatican. We found the whole city quite walkable from that location though. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including a kitchen supplies and a great big bathroom. It fit the three of us easily and four would have been no problem plus the pull out couch was almost more comfortable than the bed so no issues there. The street was very safe and quiet and even had christmas lights strung across it in an almost magical fashion. Around the corner is everything you could need including amazing restaurants, gelato, markets, grocery stores and all the roman sights. There is also a book where guests put in their messages and tips for the city (which was really nice and helpful!) as well as a place for good restaurant business cards. If you are thinking of staying in an apartment in Rome I can think of no better place! The only downside I could think of is that there are some steep stairs to climb (an elevator for luggage at least) but that is normal in Europe and its not that many steps. Also, at two different points our power went out for a while but went back on an hour or so later. Overall amazing apartment though! Read more

Olivia is a wonderful host who will help you with anything. The apartment was exactly like the photos and very comfortable. It is in a very safe area which was conveniently located to everything within walking distance. The bus stop is just outside too! We love staying in old buildings and the ceilings in Olivia's apartment where beautiful to look at before sleeping! Thank you Olivia we will be back...

Excellent location, comfortable room, with aC
We (a couple) spent 5 nights here is late October. I chose the apartment due to the location and it was even better than I could tell from google maps. The location is excellent. I always felt safe.
We asked Olivia to set up a driver to pick us up at the airport. Olivia met us as we arrived which eliminated any difficulties with finding the apartment or unlocking the doors on arrival. On departure, we were allowed to stay a little longer to make train travel to the cruise ship timing better. We have rented apartments in other cities and Olivia's support at arrival and for departure makes the difference between a Good and Great experience.
We walked almost everywhere. There were top tourists sites, bus and tram stops, a taxi stand, grocery store and many excellent choices for lunch and dinner nearby.
The apartment is accurately shown in the photos. It is small but as our next stop was a cruise ship there was plenty of room. The room was comfortable and quiet. There is a central cooling / heating system which was a nice surprise on warm nights. We only used the kitchen area for a cold breakfast, making coffee and afternoon snacks and it met our needs. We were able to hand wash and hang dry laundry in the bathroom area. The bathroom area is modern. The water tastes good and there was sufficient hot water for showers. We used the wifi daily.
The building had a lot of charm. There are about 40 stairs to get to the room. We rarely saw other people in the building. We were able to use the lift on arrival to help bring up the luggage. There is a very good restaurant next door open for lunch and dinner.
I would book this apartment again. If traveling with another couple we would rent both units. I would recommend this to a friend.
Great location and nice apartment in Rome.
You can't do better for walking in Rome than this location. Just check out Chiesa Nuova on any map. Comfortable double bed, closet, WiFi, tiny kitchenette, nice bathroom.
Nice people and good food at the restaurant on the ground floor.

Terrific apt and wonderful location!
Things could not have worked out better. Lovely Roman apartment in the middle of all the wonderful places to visit. Also, many good rest and caves and a full grocery store on the corner. A taxi stand also at the end of the street and buses close by. We had a lovely stay and would certainly return. Ciao! Read more

Thank you Joseph...I will wait for you next time in Rome
Great efficiency for two people
Very good location, centrally located between key sightseeing spots. Wonderful choices for small restaurants very close by - and a Carrefour express! Easy access to Roma Termini via bus #40. Some morning noise from the street if you sleep in with windows open.
Pismo Beach , CA
Great location, clean, updated and quiet. The restaurant, Tattoria Brasiere, right next to Residenza Sansoni serves good food, has free wi-fi and the staff is excellent. Residenza Sansoni is a gem and a great place to stay!
Great location in Rome
Sansoni is so close to everything - and very comfortable. Olivia was very helpful in finding our way around
We spent four nights here during mid april and the location of this apartment was brilliant. We were able to walk to all of the attractions and we had some of the best restaurants round the corner from us too.
The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and the facilities are great. Apart from the buildings lift which was working at some times of the day but not others!? Abit bizarre.
Olivia is a great too. She came and met us when we arrived and took the time to explain where we were on the map and gave us tips on where to go and where to eat too! This was greatly appreciated especially as this was our first trip to Rome however as we flipped a coin into the Trevi fountain it hopefully won't be out last!
Perfect for travelling with a baby
My husband and I stayed at Residenza Sansoni recently with our 7 month old baby. Olivia provided a portacot, met us at the apartment, gave advice on what to see/do in Rome and where to eat. We ate at all of the restaurants she recommended more than once and the food was excellent. Our favourite was the Trattoria downstairs. Great food, great service, great prices.
The apartment was comfortable, a great size and warm. The kitchen was even stocked with basics like milk, cereal, pastries, biscuits. Rather than carry the pram upstairs we were able to leave it in the basement.
Perfect Location in Rome!
This was my very first time renting an apartment overseas and I was spoiled by the experience. Although I have rented two other apartments already since Rome last month and they have both been terrific, this place and the owners will be very hard to beat. It set the bar very high indeed.
The apartment was in a perfect location, Ten minutes to The Vatican. Right in the heart of Centro Storico. And yet it was very quiet. I simply cannot think of a single suggestion to enhance visitors' experience here, let alone make a complaint. It was perfect.
The apartment was clean, the owners were beyond kind and considerate, and I cannot wait to go back. The internet service needs to be more reliable though, something that is very important to me, especially when I am on my own, as was the case for this stay.
However, I would definitely recommend this apartment with 100% confidence that others will find it as ideally situated, and appealing, as did I.
Equipped with all you need, clean, stylish, comfortable, pleasant quiet place.
Not sure - good price.

What's not to love?!?!
We were very pleased with our week long stay at Residenza Sansoni. The apartment is centrally located in the heart of Rome, with transportation close by. The neighborhood is packed with artisan shops and cafes; we felt very safe. Walk to the Vatican in 10 minutes! Great cafes abound, especially al Braciere, located on the ground floor of the apartment building. Olivia was wonderful: she answered our email queries promptly; arranged our transportation from the airport and offered many helpful tips. The apartment was clean and comfortable (including the beds) with a large bathroom and efficient, well stocked kitchenette.
We look forward to our next stay at Residenza Sansoni and would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family.
This studio is the perfect location for every Rome journey. We were able to easily walk to the Vatican, Colliseum, Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon and Piazza Navonna are quite close by. The 40 and 64 bus are super easy to jump on if you don't feel like walking to everything.
The studio is up a number of steep steps, not terrible, but the elderly/infirm may want to look elsewhere. The kitchen is in a small closet, but has everything for a light snack.
The bathroom was awesome. I wish she had a few comfy chairs instead of an ottoman, but we were out so much, it really didn't matter.
Olivia was lovely and helpful. It was very quiet and a perfect place. I'd recommend it.
Two of us stayed a week in this centrally located studio. Sights and restaurants nearby in abundance. Olivia was accommodating with our check in time needs. The apartment is small and the 4 flights of steep stairs and multiple keys and locks could be an issue for some.
Just the job
This apartment is really nice and really convenient for the centre of Rome. Its very clean, with good, modern facilities in an historic building beside the Chiesa Nuova, right in the Centro Storico and within walking distance of just about everything else.
Olivia met us to let us in and gave us a lot of great advice on places to visit and eat, it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted - a welcoming, comfortable space right in the middle of Rome.
Very Cool place
We had a great stay in Rome, We walked every day to all the hot Rome sites. So centrally located I can highly recommend Olivia's place,I can say , you should absolutely trust the photos and description of this place. The location and comfort are outstanding here. Thank You Olivia
Great location - perfect stay in Rome!
The apartment Residenza Sansoni was perfect for our stay in Rome. The street was fairly quiet and totally quiet after around 11-12 through the night (we stayed Thurs - Mon). The location could not be beat for walking access to all the sights and restaurants. The area right behind the apartment was one of my favorites in Rome for the shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable, and Olivia was so helpful and friendly! The stairs (2nd floor no lift is more like 4-5 shorter flights) make it harder for some, but we walked so much over the course of our trip, a few more steps hardly mattered. We would highly recommend this apartment!
Wonderful apartment in an excellent location!
We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't have been happier. We loved the apartment and loved the location. The kitchenette was also very convenient to have. We would absolutely stay here again!
Spectacular accommodations in Rome
Residenza Sansoni is the perfect place! The location is just off Piazza Nuova and is central to all the major sites you will want to visit(10-15 minute walk to the Colosseum and the Vatican), and has many restaurants and eateries surrounding it. My husband and I stayed in the studio apartment; it was spacious for 2 with a very comfortable queen size bed and would accommodate 4 easily with the convertible couch. The room was very cute, clean, and functional. The bathroom is luxurious, spacious, and includes a hairdryer and large towels. The closet-style kitchen is perfect for the space, includes a mini-fridge, microwave, and sink, and is stocked with various breakfast foods and utensils. Olivia is very sweet and helpful with transportation and food recommendations and anything else that you need. The restaurant at the entrance, Al Braciere, is not only incredibly delicious, but the staff is also very nice and helpful too. If you are looking for a 5-star accommodation at a great value this is the place! We are ready to visit Italy again as soon as we can and know exactly where we want stay in Rome. Mille grazie Olivia!

Comfortable and quiet, great location
We had a lovely stay at Residenza Sansoni. The location is unbeatable (for me always the most important thing on any holiday) The apartment is very comfortable with a spacious bedroom and bathroom and a compact, well planned kitchen area. Olivia was very helpful and gave us a lot of valuable information. A very nice touch was that the kitchen was stocked with breakfast essentials such as milk, juice, yoghurt, coffee and tea, cereal, bread and jam. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this apartment.
Fantastic location and accomodation

Thank you :) I'm waiting for you next time in Rome
Perfect location and this beautiful apartment made the perfect s
We had the most amazing time in Rome, which was helped greatly by staying at Residenza Sansoni. The perfect location for exploring the small streets of Rome. A few minutes walk from the amazing Piazza Navona, a short walk to the Pantheon and then a nice walk to the Trevi Fountain. Everything was in easy reach for us. In the other direction the Vatican and Castel St angelo are really close too.
The apartment itself is just gorgeous. Decorated tastefully, modern but with a hint of old as it is in a very old building. Air conditioning kept us cool, the kithenette area was great for making tea/coffee, keeping some snacks in the fridge and Olivia generously leaves some provision for breakfast.
The apartment is spotless and we checked in very easily.
We highly recommend Residenza Sansoni for so many reasons. Olivia also is very helpful during the booking process and will answer any questions via email very quickly which is reassuring when booking a holiday.
Thank you Olivia, we hope to return!
Rachel and Rob.
Really convenient location
This is a great apartment for the independent traveler looking for a no-frills apartment that is quiet and convenient. There is a small kitchenette, but for me the key points were that bed was firm, the hot water reliable, the air conditioner in good working order. Best of all, the location is fantastic, and you're a do-able walk from the Vatican, the Colosseum, and many of the museums in the historic center of Rome. There's a small supermarket nearby, along with great restaurants, and Olivia was very helpful in getting us settled in. Read more

Visit Rome and feel like a (lucky) local...
My husband and I (2 thirtysomething australians from NYC) stayed at Residenza Sansoni for 5 nights in april during our first trip to Italy. Olivia's apartment was the only apartment we rented in Italy, choosing to rent the studio based on price, location, newness of renovations and space as most the reasonably priced hotels rooms sounded quite small and old. We had a terrific stay - the apartment is very clean, had all of the amenities we wanted, was comfortable and the location in the cobble stone streets near Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Campo de Fiori was perfect. All sights including the Vatican and Roman Forum are within walking distance, buses and cabs are also readily available. There is a cab stand at the end of the small lane way making travel to airport easy as there are always cabs waiting and there is no need to book. Restaurants in the area are inexpensive, quaint and seem to be frequented by locals, especially the trattoria downstairs from the apartment. The shopping in the area was also quite good and had a more independent feel to the Italian designer high street shopping elsewhere in Rome. Meeting Olivia upon arrival into Rome was an extra benefit - local advice, tips and hints. We look forward to staying at again Sansoni next time we return to Rome.
Great apartment in a perfect location
Residenza Sansoni was ideal for our group. The neighborhood is lively, central, and charming--full of great restaurants and shops. Olivia did a great job in renovating two apartments in a 400+ year-old building. The apartments are clean, cute, and well-stocked. The apartment is very reasonable priced--the perfect place to stay in the Eternal City!
Great value apartment with original features

Best Location in Rome - Couldn't be Better
We were very happy with our stay here for a week in July 2012.
The location could not be better. Easy walk to any location in Rome. Clean and well kept apartment.
My only complaint is that I had to physically be in the closet to use Wifi. If Wifi is important for your trip (ie: you have to do work while traveling), this specific apartment may not be for you.
The apartment is up several sets of stairs.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to travel here again to Residenza Sansoni.
Olivia was great and arranged out transportation to/from the apartment for us. Ciao, Olivia!
Response from Olivia Sansoni - 07/21/2012
Thank you Jeremy, we work hard for making our guests stay the more comfortable possible! Of course we can manage everything that depend on our possibility!
In the city centre, in the very heart of Rome, as Residenza Sansoni is, can happen that WiFi doesn't work so fast - but it works, and that is important !. Very old and large wall of our building (since 1600 a.C.), small street of our town are what tourists looking for in Rome but... sometimes these peculiarities became a limit for modern lifestyle!
Hope to see you again next time in Rome.
ciao and Grazie!!
Everything was excelent: position, apartment and people
Sansoni apartment in which I stayed recently is in excellent position; everything is on 15 minutes walk. It was 4 of us, and it was cozy, beautiful in an old building, and it was perfectly clean.
I have only best things to say about Olivia, very kind lady. You can rely on her and ask her everything about transportation and staying in Rome.
I can recommend is this apartments to anyone who is visiting Rome and I am sure I am going to stay in Sansoni when I come again.
Response from Olivia Sansoni - 07/18/2012
Thank you Marija! I really hope to welcome you in Rome next time...and thank you for understanding the refrigerator problem. Unfortunately I had to buy a new one!!
Great place in the heart of Rome
My family and I stayed at Residenza Sansoni for 6 days in June 2012. The location was excellent. 20 minutes walk to almost all of the major sites in Rome. Other than getting to and from the airport we never had to use public transportation because everything was so close.
The apartment more than met the needs of the three of us. Air conditioning, television, small kitchen, and very nice beds made our stay quite comfortable. Olivia also left us continental breakfast items that made it is easy to start our day.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.
Our family of 4 stayed at Residenza Sansoni for 2 nights. The apartment was clean, reasonably quiet, and in a great location. Very close to Piazza Navona (great!), Pantheon (great!). Only downside is it's not near metro station, but bus stop is right at the end of the street - very convenient. Bank with aTM also right down the block. While not spacious for 4, it was certainly workable, and a great value. Olivia was also very helpful arranging reliable transportation for us from Civitavecchia where our cruise ended, and then to Fiumicino airport. Overall, we were very happy with Residenza Sansoni. Thank You Jerry!
I hope to host you next time in Rome .
I already want to go back
Olivia's apartment was fantastic. It was clean and very roomy by European standards. My wife, 10 year old son, and I easily walked to the Vatican and Colosseum. If we ever go back to Rome, and I know we will, I know exactly where I will stay.
Wonderful apartment. Great location. A few steps to climb with luggage - this may be a problem for some. Recently renovated. Very enjoyable stay.
Perfect Place in Rome
We stayed a Residenza Sansoni for 4 nights and it was the perfect location. The apartment is very well set out with a small kitchenette which is prefect for breakfast.
Olivia was very helpful from the minute we made the booking, organizing a car to pick us up at the airport and meeting us on arrival. Olivia gave a number of suggestions on places to eat and to visit and these were very useful.
This apartment is in the heart of Rome close to all the major sites with a huge number of choices of restaurants, bars and cafes, prefect for a short stay in Rome and we will be going back
100% recomendable! excellent!
Excellent location in the heart of rome. The apartment is really coz and very clean and confortable. All you need to spend a delightful time in rome. Olivia is very helful and gives the best tips in the nearby area. Really would love to come back and would definetely choose Residenza Sansoni again.
I had a week of vacation to Rome with my brother and my sister in law. Olivia was very friendly and sociable. Even for the transportation from the site location has helped us. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious, well, the internet worked. And a cozy apartment, withdrew from the city noise and also very close to all important places to visit in Rome. Thank you very much for everything, because Olivia is such a sweetheart.
This place is really great. Location could not be better. Just a few meters from Piazza Navona, close to the Pantheon and Vatican City. A bus stop is very close and you can move around the city without a problem.
The place is clean and has all the necessary amenities for a great "dolce far niente" stay in Rome.
Olivia, the owner, was very kind and helpful.
I fully recommend this place and would love to go back soon.
Sergei & Alina
Residenza Sansoni - represents the ideal accommodation in Rome for weekend or short holidays. Apartment (studio type) is truly situated in historical centre of Rome. All main city attractions are within 20-30 minutes walk distance. The nearest decent Italian restaurant is located just next door. The nearest grocery store is one block away (apartment has a small kitchen facility). 24 hour taxi station is also few steps away (ride to/from airport will cost you 40 Euro). There is only one disadvantage: sometimes you can hear distant noise from the restaurant below - can be a problem for a light sleeper. Still I have rated Residenza Sansoni as "Excellent” - it is definitely worth its money. I would highly recommend this apartment for the people who want to explore Rome on their own and don't want to stick to the luxury of expensive hotels.
Great location for Roman holidays
We have really enjoyed our stay in Residenza Sansoni. It was a very nice, little apartment in a great Roman neighborhood. Olivia was very friendly and helpful, giving us advice on local restaurants, shops, and attractions.
Great place and location!
We had a great time in Rome and Olivia was extremely helpful! Thank you so much for everything we can't wait to go back to the beautiful Rome :) The location was perfect just a few minutes walk to Vatican City and even you can get to the Colisseum in 15 minutes. Totally recommended! The restaurant next to the apartment was great!
Best place to stay in Rome
Apartment - great, lots of space, perfect location, convenient walking around Rome (you won't need bus).
Thank you to Olivia. Your place is really nice. We hope to come back soon.

Awesome Rome experience
Spent almost 2 weeks in in Italy, mostly in Rome. Wonderful city, wonderful people, wonderful food. When in Rome do consider going to cupola in St Peter's Basilica and reserving the excavation tours under the basilica, two highlights of our visit. If you have never been you should really consider Italy in general and Rome in particular. Rented apartments in Rome (2X), Florence and Venice. I highly recommend apartments as a better and more cost effective solution to hotels. Stayed at Residenza Sansoni at the end of my Italy trip. Olivia's place was comfortable, clean and as convenient to all the sights as you could ask. The bathroom, in particular, was large, clean and modern. Somewhat unusual for Italy as many can be cramped. The apartment accommodated 3 persons comfortably. Olivia is a friendly person who is highly conversant in English. Olivia also communicated quite regularly through e-mail leading up to our arrival. You should also check out the restaurant next door, highly recommended. You should not hesitate for a moment if you are considering Olivia's place. A few words of advice: Be on the lookout for taxi strikes. We experienced this both on arrival and departure dates. Check before you leave and leave enough time to get to airport if the strike is on. Persons with handicaps or disabilities should note that this apartment is up 3 flights of stairs. Italy in general is not conducive to persons with disabilities, not like the USa.
Close to all sights, very nice and clean apartment, owner quick to respond and informative.

My daughter, having just studied in Rome, chose this apartment for its perfect location. It was that and much more. The apt. is on a lovely little lane with a wonderful restaurant next to it. The bus system is amazing and a stop is just a few steps from the apt. We had an easy time getting everywhere. The apt. itself is clean and well stocked. Olivia had a refridg full of goodies to welcome us. The only problem I could ever see with this apt. is that you need to climb a couple flight of stairs to get to it. It was no problem for us, but could be for others. Olivia helped my daughter, who arrived at the apt. earlier than us, haul her luggage up the stairs. Olivia was very efficient and helpful. Thank you to Olivia for a wonderful stay.
A small but lovely apartment situated perfectly for walking to most of the main attractions. Olivia was very friendly and helpful. She had even baked us a dessert for our first night. One great thing about this apartment was it had a supply of tea, coffee, breakfast stuff etc which was great as we only had 2 days of our holiday left so having to buy all that would have been a waste. There was a lively restaurant downstairs where we had a really nice meal. If you are a light sleeper who goes to bed early it would pay to have earplugs as you could hear the talking and laughing from the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again. Read more

Great place to stay in Rome!
We stayed here in Italy for 2 weeks with a 2 night stay in Rome at this apartment. Have to say this was our favorite stay out of the other cities we visited! Very close to a taxi stand, made it very easy to get around the city. The apartment was very clean and modern. Felt like we were true guests! I would not hesitate to come back here next time we visit Rome.

I would stay here again. Olivia was a great hostess-she gave me thoughtful recommendations and a nice orientation upon arrival. I was traveling alone, stayed 9 nights in October and returned 1 afternoon to find a really good cake outside my door with a nice note from Olivia. I liked being able to have breakfast at home before heading out for the day, and I bought some cheese, fruit and wine for occasions when I wanted to stay in. The apartment is on the third floor of a nice building and has a wonderful modern bathroom-the shower stall is a bit small (and I'm not big) but they were in Florence and Venice too. The apartment was perfectly situated-I walked to the Villa Borghese in less than 45 minutes at a relaxed pace for a tour. There is a good restaurant just outside the apartment building, and there are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby, including the Hotel Raphael, which has a nice (and windy) rooftop bar where they'll give you a blanket if they see you're cold. I do note that I was never able to get wi-fi but that didn't detract from my stay.
Perfect place to stay
My boyfriend and I stayed here... The location is perfect, very close to all atractions... Apartmen was nice and clean... Owner Olivia was very friendly and gave us the basic information about the city... I have to say that the welcome cake was very tasty... Would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and excellent location...

One of the nicest areas in Rome
After many visits to Rome, I must say that this apartment was in a fabulous area of Rome. Many shops and great restaurants just around the corner. The apartment itself is very spacious and the bathroom quite large.Wi-Fi was a hit or miss but it was not that important to us. Olivia was wonderful to deal with and we will definitely stay there again in the future.
Oasis of calm in central Rome
I can only echo all the other positive reviews. A well-appointed and spotlessly clean studio with kitchenette and bathroom in a historic building. Basics for breakfast provided. Olivia was so welcoming and helpful when we arrived. There is a pleasant trattoria right by the entrance. Piazza Navona and a Carrefour Express only a couple of minutes away. Walkable to all the main areas, so little need for public transport. It was an oasis of calm after the noise and crowds of the city.
A nice, small, clean apartment right in the heart of the city. Olivia was great. Very friendly and helped arrange transportation to the airport for a very early departure. I would definitely stay here again.
In the very center of Rome
I must admit the place we stayed couldn't be located better - most of the places of interest are within the walking distance. Even though we were with our 4 year old daughter we haven't ever used any transport.
The room itself is well-decorated, clean and spacious. The ceiling height is impressive - about 5 meters so as their appearance - something like stained wood. The kitchen corner is fully equipped enabling you to cook something if you wish to. As for us we used it just for breakfasts.
Welcome cake was pleasant and tasty surprise, thank you Olivia. We would love to be back.
A beautiful flat-well decorated and providing everything that we needed and more. An excellent kitchen corner and lovely bathroom. An ideal sitauation-close to all the sites, but still quiet-we slept very well. It was extremely useful to have so much provided for breakfast-including homemade cake! Olivia gave us a warm welcome. Try the restaurant downstairs-it was very good.
We did find the photos on the website confusing as the two appartments are very similar. However, we would love to stay there again-it really made our holiday perfect.
Olivia is very obliging and helpful, the apartment is very clean and functional, highly recommended
Overall a great experience
I found this apartment by using google and really hit upon a bit of a gem. The location is excellent you can walk to nearly all of the main attractions. Olivia is a really lovely woman, arranged to meet us to check in even though it was late enough at night and gave us helpful directions to the apartment.
The apartment itself was spotless, comfortable bed, really lovely shower and very modern which I like. The only slight fault was that it doesn't have a view and feels a little boxed in but Im sure that's not unusual it Rome and you don't go on holidays to sit in the apartment.
Olivia recommended the restaurant downstairs and I had read good things about it but we went one night and it was really really terrible, I ordered prawns and got a massive portion of those really cheap frozen prawns and when we asked about the discount Olivia had mentioned they never put it through and we didn't want to be rude about it but it left me with a bad feeling.
We meet friends who were paying nearly twice as much for a hotel which was not in a good location so we were delighted with ourselves. Thank you to Olivia for making our stay so enjoyable, big thumbs up and highly recommend, will insist on my family and friends staying here if they go to Rome, it really is a gem.
a very good experience
Location is simply fantastic!! On a quiet street in the center of city (very close to Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon and so on), there is the apartment, basic but with all you can need for a pleasant stay (the small kitchen was perfect for preparing snacks for my child) and to come back every night
I will use it again also for my business travels due to central position and also for the amusing chances offered by the local area with good places to eat/drink (restaurants and wine bars).
Special thanks is for Olivia, who is more than an owner: she gave us a lot of suggestions, good ideas to have an insider's view of Rome (not just as a tourist) and also a very nice touch in check in and check out.
Location, Location, Location
Had a wonderful week here recently, The location is perfect, very very close to Castel Sant'Angelo/St Peters/Piazza Navona (ie about a 5 minute walk) and within 15 minutes of the Trevi fountain, Piazza del Popolo & Spanish Steps. The area which houses the Forum/Colosseum etc is a 20 minute stroll away
The apartment is basic but very nice, the air-con is a godsend and the small kitchen was perfect for preparing snacks for our young family. Also the restaurant next door is lovely and very reasonably priced. Theres a supermarket 30 seconds away and another 5 minutes away and theres a bus stop & taxi rank at the end of the road.
I've already recommended this apartment to a family member and would not hesitate to book again. Thanks Olivia!
Good place to stay
My girlfriend and I stayed here in mid-August. It's a lovely flat with beautiful high beamed ceilings that's nicely decorated. The geographical location is wonderful - right in the centre of Rome and within walking distance (i.e. half an hour) of the Vatican, Piazza Del Popolo, the Colosseum, Trastavere, etc. It's near to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona in a pretty area of backstreets. The local area is somewhat touristy but there are good places to eat/drink if you search around.
The flat was stocked with breakfast materials, cakes and a few other tidbits on arrival, which we thought was a nice touch.
It had a slight issue with ants (hence the amount of ant powder on the floor) but this wasn't something that bothered us. The internet was also erratic - the wireless signal was poor and difficult to pick up.
Olivia was consistent helpful and great at getting in touch before arrival. Read more
Response from Olivia Sansoni - 09/08/2011
We fought hard with ants ..but we won!
The fuse was a jar of yogurt left under the bed from a careless guest ...yogurt and sultry heat of August was an explosive mix!
In the heart of the city, a nice place to live like locals. Friendly check-in with Olivia who takes care about details of your arrival.
Location impeccable très bien située
Peut-être un peu de bruit venant de la petite rue en soirée mais sans aucune gêne la nuit. Idéalement située dans le centre de Rome. Petits restos sympas aux alentours.
Beautiful refuge, beautiful location
The apartment was fantastic. Indeed on a quiet street with a fun restaurant next door and a grocery store not 5 minutes away. It was a wonderful place to come back to to relax every night. Having aC was a nice plus, the only inconvenient thing was the internet access, spotty at best. Olivia was great, she was there to meet me and show me around the building. She even had printed out some information on shops and restaurants she recommended in the area to give me more of an insider's knowledge of Rome. A perfect place for a couple or pair of friends to stay. Would most definitely stay there again should I get the chance!
classy, comfortable, best location
Olivia herself was lovely to meet, she was friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless, pleasant, and had everything we needed. It had a lot of thought put into making it welcoming and functional for tourists. Location was wonderful too, with a nice restaurant whose owners know Olivia and take care of her guests, just next door.
Perfect location, Cute Place Best for Two
We felt like we really lucked out with this apartment -- it really is a find! We were four women traveling together, and even those among us with sleeping problems slept soundly and comfortably. The apartment has super-high ceilings and feels light and modern, with some historical touches of wood and stone. We were within walking distance to everything, which was the most important thing to us. We would highly recommend this apartment for two people, or four friends without personal-space issues. The only reason we couldn't give a higher "comfort" rating was that the hot-water heater was apparently broken during our stay, which made showers...complicated. We understand, though, that the problem was addressed upon our exit, and would not hesitate to book a stay here again! Great value for a great apartment!
One more "fair warning" issue: the climb to the apartment is up two steep flights of stone stairs. Pack lightly, or bring strong people to carry your bags!
Excellent choice in ancient Rome
This apartment has great location and very professional manager. I can suggest this residance for everybody who visits Rome for the fist time. It is an excellent choice. My wife and two sons also enjoyed our holiday in Rome since the confort and loction of the apartment is great.
Thanks for Olivia.
The best place I stayed at in Europe
Olivia was so nice to let us check in early. She even helped reserve us a cab due to our flight being very early in the morning. She gave us recommendations of places to eat (and got us discounts) and helped us navigate the bus system. Our apartment was centrally located, we were within walking distance of the Vatican! The area is very safe to come back to late at night and right next to a taxi rank and bus stops. The apartment is very clean and has comfortable accomodations. The air conditioning is very cool and the shower water is hot. Everything I needed was in the apartment. The kitchen area had everything needed to cook a meal. But why cook a meal when there is a restaurant with good food right next door! Even despite this the area is still quiet. When I return to Rome I will be staying here!
Perfect apartment and neighborhood!
This is the perfect apartment if you want an authentic Roman experience. In a vibrant neighborhood full of galleries, shops, bakeries, cafes, and restaurants -- not to mention a short stroll to Piazza Navona and easy access to many other sites -- this apartment is in one of the best locations in Rome! The apartment is absolutely beautiful -- soaring ceilings, huge windows, a beautiful bathroom, and functional kitchen. It is in a beautiful old building with many original details.
The restaurant right next to the apartment building has the best pizza I had during my month in Italy, and there are too many great cafes to choose from to list. If you want to live like a Roman, do not hesitate booking this apartment. And, Olivia is great...very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She has great suggestions for places to eat and things to do, and was quick to respond to my emails before, during, and after our stay. I will definitely stay again if I am luck enough to return!
We loved this apartment in Rome. Centrally located, it was a few blocks walk through cobblestone streets from Piazza Navaona. The bus stop was across the street and there was a great little cafe right outside the door of our building. Inside the apartment had been meticulously renovated. Clean, spacious, and well appointed. Olivia was great and very helpful in getting us settled. I would 100% come back to this apartment if I stay in Rome again. It was the best place we stayed on our trip, and a great value for the money.
Residenzia Sansoni was wonderful and perfect. The location and area of the apartment was very good. We had a wonderful time and were truly impressed with Olivia ... she was extremely courteous and helpful
I stayed in Ms Sanson's flat and had a lovely experience. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed. It was definitely part of the reason I had such a perfect holiday.I would advise anyone going to Rome to rent this apartment.
just what we needed
Residenza Sansoni offers a unique combination of professional management and familiar atmosphere in the heart of the city which gave us the opportunity to enjoy Rome as never before. My friend and I would recommend Residenza Sansoni both to tourists and business travellers.
Yiannis & Fotini, Athens Green Apts
Very very nice location near Vatican, Castel d'Angelo, apartment on quiet street, antique and other interesting shops all about making the neighborhood enjoyable. The apartment had a very nice bathroom, shower, bedroom with large window and high ceiling. All amenities were available in the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay at the apartment and would recoomend it to others! We also recommend renting a scooter while in Rome!!
comfortable, cosy, clean, suberb location and reasonably priced
very good value accomodation with very warm owners and an excellent restaurant next door which is popular with locals...
A Delightful apartment in the City Center
This was our first holiday apartment rental experience, and from start to finish it all went perfectly. Olivia promptly responded to my emails and represented herself and the apartment accurately. She offered us directions and was waiting for us upon our arrival. The check in was fast and easy, yet informative and long enough to give us a chance to meet and get a positive impression of one another. She showed us where we were and where some of the top spots were on a map, shared with us any pertinent information, gave us some discount cards for a few restaurants, and then left us to it.
The apartment was smaller than I'd expected (it's a studio apartment), but certainly big enough for the two of us. Clearly, it's recently been renovated, and everything from the furnishing to the linens was done extremely beautifully. The location was ideal: right in the heart of the city, right next to Chiesa Nuova. We were both extremely pleased with the apartment and our stay there and would return in a heartbeat -- highly recommended.
lovely, well located house
I was in Rome for a short business trip, but I wanted to be in the city center to visit a bit of Rome: residenza Sansoni is a lovely place, well located both for my meetings and for spending night in the city center.Brand new and clean, I loved it
it was a nice and a comfortable apartment in the centre of Rome near the most famous monuments of the city.We walked around the area, it was safe and full of good restaurants and interesting shops.
The apartment is for romantic vacation in Rome. It's full equiped and very comfortable.
I spent an unforgettable holliday !! I would really like to get back soon.
We didn't come to see the beatification!
but we saw it anyway. Just a short walk from all the central Rome attractions. Very warm and friendly advice. Seemed like good value for money. Easy bus trip from the main railway station. Newly renovated appartment with all modern facilities, and breakfast thrown in! Good restaurant next to the main door. Surprisingly quiet at night.
The apartment is in a fantastic location, bang in the middle of Rome- within easy walking distance of trevi fountain, pantheon, popolo square, villa borghese, the vatican, spanish steps, etc. The accommodation is superb- furnished and equipped to a very high standard indeed. Fantastic holiday much enhanced by living in this beautiful apartment! Thank you very much!
