The living room (19.2 m² – northeast facing) is spacious and has a large window overlooking the small courtyard. There are two sofas with integrated end tables, a coffee table, and bookshelves. Additional Location Information

The famous Monti hill, at the foot of Santa Maria Maggiore, is one of the oldest districts in Rome. It owes its name to the fact that it spans the Esquiline and Viminal Hills as well as parts of the Quirinal and Caelian Hills. Here, local craft shops are scattered throughout a maze of narrow, inclined streets. Fierce rivals of the Trasteverins, the inhabitants have proudly safeguarded the city’s identity throughout the centuries. The apartment itself is in a historic building in a picturesque cul-de-sac in the Monti district, at the foot of Santa Maria Maggiore (5-minute walk). It is close to public transportation (Metro Line B and buses nos. 75 and 117) and within walking distance of the Colosseum and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni on Via Nazionale (15 minutes).

A Quiet Cool Retreat from the Rome Heat

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Locappart Service from beginning to end were most professional. My French was not good enough to read the website but I called their Paris office and they were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
I had booked the appartment for ourselves and 3 of my husband's colleagues so I was a bit worried if it would live up to the photographs. I need not have worried.
The 4 bedrooms are good and the 3 bathrooms are superb but the best part of the appartment is the open plan kitchen & dining area with the terrace off this. All appliances are brand new and the crockery and cooking equipment is fantastic. The terrace has a couple of hours sun in the morning but most of the time it is a cool place to go back. We all enjoyed breakfast and drinks there at the end of the day. It does not have a view but it feels private.
The whole appartment is spacious and tasteful. There are modern sofa's in the large lounge and the lighting throughout the appartment is amazing. Clearly someone has spent money and time to create a wonderful retreat from the crowds of Rome. It is walking distance from Termini so no taxi needed! But this area is not as upmarket or beautiful as many areas of Rome. It is a busy part of Rome and crossing the road to the supermarket (2 mins walk) did feel like you took your life in your hands! If you want genteel Rome, then maybe this area is not for you.

The appartment is amazing value for money and so I cannot say it is anything other than it is excellent. I would certainly come back.
My only thoughts are it could be a luxury appartment if the towels were bigger and the air-conditioning was available to guests. Perhaps an additional cost could be charged if this was required. But saying that it was 42 degrees every day we were there and by keeping all doors open at night, we managed to keep cool and sleep well.
