This third-floor apartment (50 m2) was recently refurbished. The parquet flooring and exposed ceilng beams lend the apartment its charm. There is no elevator in the building. All the rooms are off of the front hall (5.3 m²), which has a hat rack, a chair, and an armoire. The famous Monti hill, at the foot of Santa Maria Maggiore, is one of the oldest districts in Rome. It owes its name to the fact that it spans the Esquiline and Viminal Hills as well as parts of the Quirinal and Caelian Hills. Here, local craft shops are scattered throughout a maze of narrow, inclined streets. Fierce rivals of the Trasteverins, the inhabitants have proudly safeguarded the city’s identity throughout the centuries. The apartment itself is situated on one of these narrow streets lined with restaurants and shops in the picturesque Monti district. The tastefully decorated apartment is in a historic building near public transportation (Metro Line B and bus no. 75 or 117) and within walking distance of the Colosseum and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni on Via Nazionale (15 minutes).
