In front of the house we have a lovely pergola where you can sit and relax in the shade and a range of deckchairs are available nearby the pool. Around the property we have a number of dining tables with chairs.
During the warm days you can have your meals outside either in the garden, on the terrace, and next to the swimming pool where we have a splendid terrace with a wood oven to make pizza .
The gardens are spacious with trees, shrubs and flowers. We have olive trees from which we make our own extra virgin olive oil, and in the summer the orchard provides us with tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants and salads and in the winter vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower or cabbages.

After an extensive search on the internet we found Cala Sabina, which seemed to suit our purposes: in a quiet environment, with room for 6 ladies, and with a private swimmingpool and nice view.
What we got was more then we bargained for: a great house, furnished with eye for detail, nothing we missed out on. Even the kitchen was more then fully equiped. The private swimmingpool was private indeed and was heated and cleaned every day.
The reception by the owner was very warm: on request she had prepared a cold dinner, as we arrived rather late. This was a very nice welcome with typical italian cold dishes and sparkling wine.
The owner, Nicola, turned out to be a great source of information on all we wanted to know: form driving tours to the best way to get to Rome by car, to an advisory service on wines.
All in all, she made us feel welcome...

What an amazing holiday we had at CalaSabina! Everything was just perfect - the countryhouse was spacious, clean and comfortable, the location was really easy to access from the airport but far enough away to feel the benefits of the countryside and the food was divine. We spent 3 nights at Nicola's place and she catered for us on two of these, with hindsight we should have asked for three nights as although the kitchen was fully equipped and there was a local supermarket we couldn't quite match Nicola's standard!
We left to come home very relaxed after spending several days by the pool in the sunshine, the only negative being we are now a few pounds heavier! Time to hit the treadmill!

With clear and concise directions from our host I travelled from Rome and arrived in this super location/house with 5 friends for a relaxing girlie weekend. The location is simply stunning and the views are just delightful. The house itself is set in beautiful grounds and is spacious, very clean and your every need is catered for. Everything in the house is fresh, clean and crisp. Our wonderful hosts where there on hand whenever you needed them nothing was too much trouble and we had lots of privacy at the same time. I must recommend having at least one evening meal cooked by your hosts. Homemade pizzas cooked outside in a traditional pizza oven by the pool whilst watching the sunset was to die for! You can choose to self cater or have meals prepared by your hosts. I really recommend the homemade evening meals which were prepared with fresh local produce and cooked with care and love. I was so impressed we are planning a return trip next year! Thank you so much everyone at CalaSabina.

We (a couple with our teenager son and two teenager friends) have had a wonderful and excellent week in Cala Sabina in July 2012. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly welcome by Nicola and andrea. We felt immediately at home. The boys did not mind there was no disco around, enjoyed themselves in and around the pool and in the evenings we all prepared nice meals with genuine Italian ingredients of superb quality, of course with an excellent Italian wine. The evening, preparing pizza's, near the pool, was unforgettable. Twice we spent (part of) the day in Rome. Within one hour we had parked the car in the middle of the city and at the end of the day we came 'home'. We will certainly go back to Cala Sabina.

Abbiamo trascorso dieci giorni a Cala Sabina lo scorso agosto e ci siamo trovati benissimo!
Contesto elegante senza essere pretenzioso,casa dal sapore country, non banale. La pulizia è impeccabile, lenzuola e asciugamani freschi di bucato contribuiscono insieme ad altri particolari a creare un ambiente sereno dove ci siamo sentiti subito "a casa".
I padroni di casa sono molto accoglienti, la loro pizza nel forno a legna è straordinaria.
Bellissima la piscina, acqua sempre pulita e alla giusta temperatura, affacciata su un panorama da fare invidia alla vicina Toscana. Lo consiglierei a chiunque voglia trascorrere qualche giorno fuori dal caos cittadino ma a pochi chilometri da Roma. -

Het verblijf bij Nicola in haar bed en breakfast huis was als een warme douche wanneer we terug kwamen van een daagje Rome of andere bezigheden welke er volop zijn in de omgeving stond er altijd een lekker hapje met een wijntje en/of prosecco klaar na een duik in het schone zwembad werd de avond ingevuld ,of naar een van de plaatselijke restaurants waar het vlees ih het houtvuur werd gegrild of naar een authentieke pizzeria .ook om met
Nicola samen een maaltijd te koken van heerlijke italiaanse ingredienten was een belevenis,Wnt haar liefde koken is groot.
We kunnen iedereen aanraden om hier enkele dagen te gaan verblijven, voor ons is de planning alweer ingevud -

I happened to stay at CalaSabina just for a week end; I was in Rome on business and wanted to relax in a nice quiet place. What a surprise! Comfort combined to beauty. I was lucky with the weather, too. I dived in the pool while the landlady was discreetly leaving a glass of Chardonay on the board.
A definite must! -

We had a wonderful time this summer at Nicola's house.The food she cooks is fantastic when you wish to spend a nice evening at home. Better than in the best restaurant in the area. The house is cozy and hospitable, surrounded by a gorgeous countryside. Everyday we would go to Rome, sometimes by car sometimes by train, and after a long day of sightseeing, we would be home and jump in the swimming-pool and relax in the garden. We also discoverede many beautiful boroughs that nobody knows around the Tarano area... and it was fantastic! Great hostess, we never felt lonely. Thank you Nicola!!!
