Ok, this is a nice apartment, in the heart of Rome (great location), and the price is acordingly. It was also very clean, less some hairs here and there. Well equiped, and beautifully decorated - the pictures are accurate.
So my rating could be much higher, if not the unpleasant incident at the beginning.
Our flight was a litlle late and the cab driver also couldn't find the place (according to the taxi driver, because of the wrong info she received from Ricardo the owner in her phone call to him - I don't know if this is true) so she left us some 50 m away which we had to walk. So we arrived somewhen between 20:55 and 21:05, found Ricardo (who helped with one of our suitcases out of the 3) and were rushed in. Ricardo showed us the appartment and then asked for "the money". I paid him and then he asked for 25 Euro more because we arrived after 21:00 (it was mentioned in the document he sent us that after 21 there is a surcharge of 25E). I looked at the time, it was 21:13 and told him that I think we came before 21:00, because going up with the suitcases and seing the flat with the instructions he gave, took around 10-15 mins. He said "Actually you did not. Give me 20!". I was tired so I paid, but I think it is unheared of, to be charged 20 Euros for being 3 minutes late (if at all) - even car rental companies don't charge you that. I felt ripped off, especially considering the high price we payed him for the rental.
By the way, at the end of the rental he promised to arrive at 10:00 am but arrived around 10:30, after I called him at 10:15 and he promised to arrive in 5 minutes. How comes that he allows himself to be late half an hour but charged us 20 Euro for being late 5 minutes? God knows.
It really ruined part of my time in Rome. I don't recommend.
P.S.: Moreover - this is on the third floor with tiny staircase and no elevator. Very hard to take the suitcases up
