    Additional Location Information

This lovely apartment is located in Rome, in the prestigious Via Giulia, just a few steps from Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona and all the wonders of the old centre of the capital.

Via Giulia was designed by Pope Julius II. It was the first attempt since Antiquity to pierce a new thoroughfare through the heart of Rome and the first European example since Antiquity of urban renewal. Via Giulia runs from the Ponte Sisto to the church of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini, following the tight curve of the Tiber. It became the most fashionable street for new construction for borghesi and for the Florentine community in the sixteenth century. Today it is one of Rome's elite shopping streets, noted for its antique shops. The street is part of the Rione Regola (Regola District) very famous for his past commercial and craft activities.
Just look at the names of the streets: Via dei Pettinari, Balestrari ,Giubbonari Catinari, Baullari,…imagine the manufacturers and suppliers, butchers, tanners, dyers and millers. Even today this industry survives in some historic workshops, mixed with art galleries and trendy shops!

The central location of the house allows you to discover a large number of activities and places of interest just walking. Within a 20 minutes walk you will be able to admire the most important historical and archaeological sites of the city. The area is well served by public transport, restaurants with typical Roman gastronomy, as well as Italian and international cuisine, supermarkets and open air markets. For our young guests we recommend “Trastevere” area, distinguished by bars, pubs and clubs of all kinds.
