      A brilliant stay

Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in June 2011

This is an amazing place to spend some time. Polly and Stuart were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to show us the area and give us helpful tips and recommendations. The house is a delight with the most stunning views ,the facilities are fabulous and the pool is fantastic. The breakfasts were generous and beautifully prepared and presented. This is a wonderful place to stay to visit the more remote and hilly areas of andalucia and explore the white villages. I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough

      Beautiful spot and great hosts

Left on 04/30/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Stuart and Polly's finca could not be more welcoming. We were there in april, and I was rather glad we weren't there in summer as I could easily see not moving from the poolside overlooking the beautiful valley below Cortes de Frontera. I'd love to go back with more time to explore the parkland, forests, and trails that surround the finca.

The B&B; is flawlessly appointed, and equipped with everything you could possibly want. We arranged with Polly one morning to have dinner that evening at the finca, and left it up to her to cook whatever she felt like-- and it was all really great.

The finca is near the Cueva de Pileta, for stone age cave paintings, and the remarkable cork forest. Ronda is a 20 km drive over mountain roads, but a train goes to and from a station five minutes away a few times a day. Other "white villages" are all over the mountains-- you just have to pick a direction and head there.

Finca El Abuelo - Highly Recommended

Left on 03/30/2010 for a stay in September 2009

Stayed here for three nights in Sept 09 - fantastic. Up in the hills - quiet and
very relaxed. Owners are very welcoming and helpful - nothing is too much
trouble. Room was beautiful - felt very traditional but with sat Tv, coffee
machine and ensuite. Food was excellent - breakfasts to die for! Will stay there
again and would definitely recommend to others - a great base to explore a
      beautiful area of Spain.

      Home from home

Left on 02/20/2010 for a stay in September 2009

Finca El Abuelo is a fabulous place to stay if you are touring inland Spain and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Costas.

Situated near the lovely village of Cortes de la Frontera and within easy distance of Rhonda the finca is beautifully appointed and provides a touch of luxury at a very reasonable price.

Your hosts Polly and Stuart strive to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. This begins with their friendly welcome and after a refreshing drink you will be shown to your room - beautifully decorated with rustic charm with lots of thoughtful touches.

Polly ensures you will not go hungry with her imaginative cooking and Stuart ensures your glass is refilled on demand - again prices for food and drink are amazing value.

Outside areas match the standard of the interior of the finca. There are various terraces all with amazing views, sumptuous loungers and a pool to cool off in after sunbathing or on your return from sight seeing. The area is superb for walking and the scenery is stunning.

Polly and Stuart have ensured that their finca is a place you will want to return to again and again!

      A wonderful find

Left on 02/15/2010 for a stay in September 2009

We had a fantastic two nights with Polly and Stuart- from the moment that Polly collected us from the station we felt completely welcome in their wonderful home.
The house is stunning, the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and comfortable. The pool is gorgeous with stunning views.
Our reservations prior to arriving that there were only two rooms, and that we were relying on public transport were allayed completely due to Polly and Stuart's wonderful hospitality. They couldnt do enough for us.
Polly and Stuart are entertaining and warm and professional. Polly's cooking cannot be faulted- we will be back.
